Campbell Main Owners M. Stephens P. Stephens K. lee Under Global Development strategies inc out of San Diego California where the inc formed. However, they have offices all of the USA. They have over 40 alternate business names. Such as Choice overhead garage door Broken springs Aa plus garage doors Jimmy garage doors Appears they have different call centers all over and with a pool of subcontractors many who are not trained properly. The untrained workers try to sell you overpriced parts and labor that you don’t need. Soon as they make the sale at your house, they just rush to get it done so they go to another worksite. That’s why so many people are having problems. This company will just keep changing their garage business names when they get too many complaints and no business coming in. Their contractors lic keeps changing as they get suspended. Current active 2015 is 1005791 Another Was suspend sept/oct 2015 is 927739 Beware and do your homework. This company needs a class action settlement or stopped from criminal charges before a customer gets killed by a garage door. Seniors beware.

Bad service. Bad follow through. They have one of those know-little-or-nothing answering services that mostly try to do a good job, but can’t because they don’t know the work. Two to four hour service windows with a pre-call that mostly didn’t happen. Technicians unprepared to do the job requested. Prices way too high. I called GDS after receiving a coupon in the mail. I asked them to install a new garage door opener and replace the fraying lift cables on my garage door. They gave me a 4-hour window and said their technician would call before coming. He didn’t call; just showed up. Fortunately I was home. He installed a new door opener quickly and efficiently, but was unprepared to change the cables. He said they were an unusual length, and he would have them ordered for me. That never happened. When I called back a week later the answering service said the notes he’d left didn’t include the measurements, so they’d have to send someone else out. That finally happened a couple of weeks later on a Friday, and he said the cables would be ready on Monday. I’d heard nothing by the following Friday, so I called them back and the answering service said they’d have someone out on Monday with the new cables between 8&10AM, and they’d call me first. I finally called them at 10& was told the tech was 5 minutes away. He arrived a half hour later. Here’s where it all went to pieces: He wanted $ 155 for the cables(at Home Depot and Lowe’s they’re less than $ 10 for a somewhat shorter set), and(get this) $ 299 for 35 minutes of labor(e and another tech from GDS has both told me it was a 35 minute job). That works out to $ 512/hour for labor!!! When I told him he had to be kidding, he dropped it to $ 199(That’s $ 341/hour). Then he told me he was a specialist. At that point we agreed that he would take his specialty elsewhere. I ended up calling a local, one-man business, who did the job for me that same day for half the price GDS wanted to charge me.
