What a wonderful experience! I needed an «emergency» bridal bouquet to be made and I only had an hour to find someone who would or could make it. Genesee Florist did it in 45 minutes and it was beautiful. They really came through in our time of need and helped make the day very special for the bride and groom. It was the grooms last day on earth and he went out a very happy man, thanks in part to Genesee’s kindness and thoughtful customer service.

I can’t tell you anything about their flowers yet but their customer service is outstanding!!! I live in Dallas and I have a friend in the hospital in San Diego. I wanted my friend to have flowers as soon as she got out of surgery so I ordered them right away. I didn’t stop to think she was going to be in ICU for a few days! Duh. This florist has called the hospital three times a day every day checking for my friend to have moved to a regular room(flowers aren’t allowed in ICU). They also called me several times to possibly get a family member to pick them up. This all happened over the Labor Day weekend and they kept me posted in plenty of time to avoid delays. ***** I really appreciate the effort this staff made to get these flowers to my friend. My friend got a regular room today and they will be delivering the flowers this afternoon!!!**********

I felt like I threw my money away! I left Sharp late on Valentines Day and figured I could find a nice bouquet to bring home to my wife. So I found an overpriced arrangement that didn’t even last 1 week! Within 2 days the flowers were wilting and now 6 days later they have a rotten stench and only a few flowers are still healthy looking. And if you’re thinking it, I did water them every few days. I expect more for $ 75! I get better $ 7 arrangements from my local farmers market. Never again! Next time it’s Von’s!

I ordered via phone and had the most splendid service! It has been a very long time since I have had good service over the phone. Alice was very helpful and also sent me a text since she couldn’t get a hold of me, which was very convenience on my end since I was at work! I’m sold on their service alone, will definitely order from them again!

Very disappointed in the quality from this florist — roses browner and drooped within 48hrs of receiving the bouquet and never opened. For $ 75, would expect something more! Would recommend trying another florist if you want flowers that last more than a day ortwo.

Sorry, but this is a no-go for me. I gave this place two chances and both times it left A LOT to be desired. Let’s start with the phone call I placed about 4 – 5 weeks ago. The woman who I spoke with didn’t even mention her name upon answering(that’s always a bad sign when a worker doesn’t want you to be able to identify them). She was grumpy, rude, and short with me. She didn’t give me many options. I’m not a florist, so I don’t know everything a flower shop has to offer. I just didn’t feel that my business was appreciated. And when I get poor customer service from a retailer, it’s impossible to get a good rating out of me. Period. So anyhow, I ordered a small sympathy/get-well piece to be delivered the next day. I had told the woman on the phone that the recipient likes a more fresh/modern look. The delivery was prompt, so that’s good. The same day the flowers were delivered, I visited my sick friend at the hospital to see the flowers for myself. It was bad. Very bad. It was like looking at a mini circus floating in funky water. Yellow and red carnations and daisies everywhere! And the arrangement smelled kinda funny — I think it was the water or something. Ew! Moreover, how is this modern? Very disappointing. If you’ve read my reviews, you know I like to give second chances. So as I was on my way to visit my friend again at the hospital, I decided to stop in. A woman came out and she was VERY chatty, she acted spacey, and wasn’t a good listener, because I had to tell her some of the same things twice, even 3 times! Honestly, she seemed either very fake(the type of person who smiles in your face but then complains about your order after you leave) or maybe she was high. Not sure. Whatever, as long as people are nice, who cares right? However, I looked in the display and can you guess what I saw? RED and YELLOW carnations and daisies! This place has an obsession with yellow and red — don’t they know primary colors are not very elegant? I didn’t see a single elegant or unique flower in the whole place. No calla lilies, no orchids, nothing high-end. It made me realize that the order I had previously placed the first time was not treated as a custom order. They simply pulled something out of their display, which explains why the arrangement wasn’t modern looking. The arrangements mainly looked matronly, old-school, and not very creative. There were a couple cute arrangements, but they were for newborns. This retailer’s website clearly shows that this shop belongs to one of those major flower companies(1800flowers, teleflora, etc.) — I should have known better. Big business usually sucks, in my opinion. From here on out, I’m going to use custom florists or freelance florists only. Or, if I don’t have very much money, I’ll just go to Ralphs and pick out an arrangement. It’s cheaper and the flowers look the same. Since there were no flowers in this store to my liking, I bought a card and some gifts for my friend. I would only recommend this shop if your recipient doesn’t care much about flowers or doesn’t pay much attention to detail. Otherwise, save your cash. Oh yeah, the parking is pretty bad around lunch hour too, because there is an awesome taco shop next door.

This flower shop is convenient for me since I am in the area quite often. I would imagine it is convenient for those visiting the nearby hospital as well. I needed a last minute bouquet and was somewhat disappointed with the pre-made selection. Perhaps it was because it was at the end of the day and they had sold their ‘good ones’ earlier. no matter, the florist there helped me put together my own bouquet with their individual stems. It turned out to be pretty nice. Again, i found the stem selection to be somewhat limited, but she made a great bouquet with what they had. The price wasn’t too obscene either for a custom bouquet. They’re a nice and friendly shop. I’m not sure how to give 3.5 stars here, but that’s what I would like to rate it.
