Get It Clean Laundromat

I used to really like this place but the last two times I’ve come the machines haven’t correctly spun out my wash so my laundry was soaked. The first time they had me rerun the machine through the whole cycle which again didn’t spin out correctly. So I had to move my wash to a different machine and run it again thus turning what should’ve been an hour long trip to the laundromat to 3 hours. The second time they pretty much told me I was out of luck with my pile of soaking wet sheets unless I wanted to pay to run it again. Unreal! I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have time and money to waste.

I love this place. I went late at night since I find it hard to make time for laundry, and I was not able to dry my clothes in time for closing at 11. The lady coming in to close let me stay a few minutes after closing anyways to finish drying, and she was super sweet. I felt really bad and left before they dried anyways, but I really appreciated that she didnt just give me the boot with my wet clothes. The washers are really affordable as well and everything was clean and tidy, also liked the little lounge area with the couches.

Do you want your clothes back after paying to have them dry cleaned? If you answered, «yes» to this question, then go somewhere else! I still have not received my $ 150 dress shirt or any form of payment! The owner is a scam artist as he’s given me the run around too many times. I give up. The most he’d give me is $ 33, but even that never came in the mail! If you’re smart, you’ll learn from my mistake and not make the same one yourself.

So rude! I came in 7 minutes before they closed for laundry drop-​off, and the woman running Get It Clean would not help me. She said she had already packed up for the night and offered no apology. I have been a loyal customer for over a year now, and I was surprised. I said, «really? You’re not even supposed to be closed yet» and she said «I already packed up the cash.» Really poor customer service.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the owners of the company the next day and offered an apology for the treatment I received by the attendant. I very much appreciate their quick response and willingness to «make things right.» I am impressed by the professional manner in which this was handled– 5 stars!

If you want your clothes to smell good just go here! I live in east county and don’t I dare go to a laundry mat here I always make my way to North Park to this place! I also witness how the owners scrub the machines when it’s close to closing time making sure everything is super clean! Also it’s a decent price!

Awesome atmosphere, clean, safe, and plenty of different washing machines and big drum roll dryers. No ATM, but it’s all groovey since there’s a bank less than a block away. They got couches and chairs to sit and wait on, and many kinds of detergents and softners.

I’ve been here about 5 times or so, and have been over the moon thrilled. They’re pretty busy and most likely because they’re the best cleaners in the neighborhood. My laundry is always so neatly packed and organized. I don’t like my dresses in the dryer so they always hang dry them for me. A small request, but one many places have forgotten.
I’m writing a review because they saved my life, laundry-​wise. Like a boob I forgot about weekend plans and almost had to leave with nearly the clothes on my back and only those since my laundry wouldn’t be ready until after five which we agreed upon when I dropped my things off. I don’t know how they did it but they got me my clothes as early in the day as they could. I am so a lifer now!
They also have a wash 10lbs 10 times and get 10lbs free. Which is wonderful as well. I absolutely love this place!

Nice staff. Plenty of machines. Supplies available and change machines readily available. Parking in back is a bit wonky but at least it’s there. You may get stuck behind someone or have to move your car due to the configuration. I’d go back.

Oh my goodness! I just moved to San Diego a few months ago and instead of using my itty bitty washer and dryer in my condo I figure I could expedite the process by doing the drop off service thing.
I didn’t even go to this location but a simple phone call was enough for me. The staff member legitimately hung up on me because I was asking too many questions. It’s unfortunate that one staff member can ruin an entire business but in this situation that’s exactly what occurred.
I’ll wash my own clothes, thanks anyway.

great atmosphere for a laundromat.
pricing was fair and wifi was a plus. Quiet and was able to get in and out in about 2 hours… not bad for 3 loads.

Was open nighttime on Thanksgiving Day so we had the place to ourselves. Was clean n well maintained to a point. Washers worked really good and was only $ 2 a load.
2 negatives — Dryers took an awfully long time to get are clothes dry. It took more $$ than it should have. And no wifi ?? cause you have to get the password from an employee. It really sucked that it was a holiday and nobody was working. Hint: in those circumstances, post the password please. Sitting through two hours of laundry, with no wifi, is absolutely horrific.

This is the best laundromat I’ve ever stepped foot in. So clean and quiet and they have an adult only lounge and free wifi throughout. We also used the wash, dry, fold service for a couple months after we had our son and that was amazing. A splurge but so worth it for an exhausted and overwhelmed new mom. Even when I forgot to tell them what was hang dry they always did it right. I love that they use the laundry products that I provide since I’m really particular about I like our laundry done. I call ahead when I’m on my way and they have everything in a cart and ready to go. The specials they have are amazing.
Something else that gives them brownie points is that they utilize social media and email effectively. I called with a question and the attendant took my name and email address and within minutes I was contacted by one of the owners, Daniel. He was super helpful and I loved that I had all the info in an email to reference later. I don’t always need to go to the laundromat but when I do I will without a doubt always go here.

Hey this place ain’t bad for a laundry mat. They stay open late. I was here on a Thursday night and it stayed open til 11pm. If you come during the day they have all kinds of offers and deals. Specials different days of the week and free washes if you use certain washers. They have a waters home if you need to get water so you can do two errands at once. There is a bunch I bars in the area so you can get a drink while you wait. Also they have drop off device and dry cleaning a well. Check out all the crazy deals

After 52 check-​ins and more than two years of loyal customership (uh huh, that is *so* a word!), it’s time for an update and, unfortunately, Get It Clean is getting knocked down a couple of notches.
First, I realized they sneakily increased their prices. I’m not sure when it happened and I don’t remember seeing a sign telling of the increase, but when I started coming here it was $ 1.25/lb and now it’s $ 1.35/lb. Not such a huge increase, no, but when I found out a rival fluff and fold not too far away does the same service for $ 0.55/lb LESS, well, yeah, that adds up.
Second, prices went up but quality went down. At first I just noticed that my clothing was returned to me folded and fluffed… but the fluff was dryer lint. All over everything. :(This happened more than once so it wasn’t just a one off thing. I even said something about it and on my next pick up my clothes may have been a **leetle* bit freer of lint, but it was still there. Also, they stopped hanging clothes that had previously always been hung, so that was a bit disappointing too.
I’m not sure what’s going on at Get It Clean. I’ll still use them in a pinch, but for now I’ll be giving the rival my business.

There were plenty of laundry carts, machines and seating available. Also several folding stations where you can sort and fold your laundry on tables. There are three different kinds of washing machines — high efficiency small machines ($ 3 per load), high efficiency large machines ($ 6 per load) and small top loading machines ($ 2 per load). Drying is cheap at 25 cents per 7 minutes in huge dryers. I think it cost me an average of 75 cents to dry a large load of laundry. I did 8 decently sized loads of laundry for a total of $ 20.
I also liked that there is a coffee shop a few doors down, so you can get your laundry going and then walk to grab a coffee or treat. There’s also a Chase ATM a couple doors over if you forgot to bring cash. I withdrew a $ 20, and the clerk gave me two rolls of quarters. Oh — and if you want to buy hangers or detergent, there’s a Von’s at 30^th and Howard (just a few blocks away).
I’m not used to doing my laundry in a laundromat. I moved here from Missouri, where I always had a washer and dryer in my house. I was kind of nervous about lugging tons of laundry to this place, but I was pleasantly surprised! Doing laundry at a laundromat is weirdly therapeutic… I blame it on the cool breeze wafting through the place and that faint clean smell of detergent.
Go here for a clean, well-​serviced laundromat in a decent location with convenient parking around back.

Nice place… staff makes environment uncomfortable
I go here sometimes to get my laundry done. The place is nice and clean. However both times I have been here doing laundry the workers here have treated me very poorly. A blonde worker who brought her dog, kept staring at me and asked me if I «belonged» here. Not sure if I was too poorly dressed to be at the laundry matt, but she is also the one who always eyes me as I walk to the washers. Nice venue but not sure if I was being racially or socially profilled by the staff.

It was an ok place to wash but i would still recommend another location… If you have money to trough away, this is the place for you…

When it comes to fluff and fold/​laundry services, it appears that the uptown San Diego area certainly offers some almost luxury options. Sure, you have to get your laundry together, leave your house. That’s a bummer right? I don’t know.
At Get It Clean, they have super clean machines, floors, everything; deals for almost every weekday; a cutely appointed, air-​conditioned lounge with wifi separate from the spinning and drying and general awfulness that is your neighborhood laundromat; and single, triple, 5 and 7 load washers. They even have extra parking in the back.
Can someone please tell me why you’d do 3 – 7 separate loads at home rather than doing it all in about an hour all at once here? I dunno. I’m sold. And when I’m feeling particularly lazy or overworked they are happy to weigh it out and do it all for me.
So Mari H., that sounds like a 5 star review, where’s the loss of star? I happen to KNOW they make larger dryers, certain local competitors have ‘em. So your comforter is gonna take an extra buck in that regular load dryer and you’re gonna have to do a lot more splitting. This wouldn’t be an issue unless they didn’t have those fancy ⁵⁄₇ load washers. My advice, nix the candy machine and gimme 2 – 4 extra large dryers.
I still love this place. There is nothing awful about doing laundry here and that is amazing.
