I absolutely love Giant Pizza King! I can’t get enough of it! I love it! I order there every week or two. Its amazing. Their wings are the best! They have amazing deals and the prices are really affordable! If you live in San Diego or are visiting San Diego you really should go check them out. And try at least 2 things. Giant pizza king is #1 in all of San Diego for sure

Owner or who ever he was is so rude, my little sister(who is 13) asked for more chili pepper and cheese(he only gave one of each for a whole pizza) I ignored it knowing there is some cheap places who don’t like giving or serving there customers properly but he then whispered something to her rudely so I stepped in and asked what was what he had said and he goes«that pizza is takeout only and you have to pay me $ 2 if you want to eat here» basically kicking us out for asking for more chili peppers. I would understand if there was a sign that said the pizza was a take out only but it didn’t say that and it was raining hard out. And not to mention the place was empty… I wonder why… Don’t eat here, he’ll ruin your appetite…

Gave this place a try after seeing a flyer at my apartment door when I first moved in. There are a bunch of «deals» and this place is definitely bargain type of food. Small cost, high quantity, low quality. The majority of non pizza items are frozen. The rib tips and wings were shamelessly microwaved and were frozen in a block. They drain the liquid from the ice and then microwave it again. The pizza crust was mushy but since I like pizza I ate it anyways. The food isn’t very good but all the employees were really nice. Good people. Bad food.

Flyers, doorknob hangers, everywhere in my part of this little town known as North Park in beautiful Sunny San Diego. I was working late one evening and didn’t want to come home to cook dinner, so I stopped here — after seeing one of their doorknob hangers left at a client’s house.(I’ve seen them for years, so it’s not a novelty.) This put the idea in my pointy little head to pass by on El Cajon Blvd right on my way home, stop and don’t mind waiting, to get something, but not pizza! It was a Friday night so I was in the mood for fish, and ordered the Shrimp and Fries dinner. On the flyer it was advertised as $ 6.99. At the counter the sign had been taped over and augmented to read $ 7.99. I pointed this out to the man at the counter taking my order and even showed him the flyer/doorknob hanger ad he had stacked on the counter. He said, OK, it will be $ 6.99. They don’t take American Express, and charge $ 1.00 for Visa, MasterCard and Discover card purchases.(As of Jan 2013 this is now legal in CA, although the surcharge must not be over 4% of the purchase. So, a $ 20.00 pizza, as someone else on Unilocal noted, should only be charged .80 not a full dollar, but that is being nitpicky and I can’t expect someone to calculate exactly what a surcharge for each individual purchase should be should the customer wish to pay via credit card.) I waited for the food to be freshly prepared and wrapped up to go, and was on my way. At home, the food was still hot, which is a wonderful thing, the fries were fresh and not greasy, tasty with a little sea salt sprinkled on, and the fried shrimp were the kind that don’t have tails, so it was all wrapped up in breading. The shrimp tasted fine, not too crunchy or mushy, I didn’t get sick from the food, so all was well. The only thing I have to complain about is that the dinner was advertised to be: 21 pieces of shrimp(I didn’t count them but I assume that’s what I got, as it was a lot!), fries, salad and cocktail sauce. I received all but the salad. They cheated me out of the salad which I really wanted for a balanced meal. I probably won’t stop by again any time soon, as I generally pay for everything by credit card, rarely have cash on me unless I have to pay cash only parking fees or can afford to deplete my checking account at the ATM for gas money. The food was a fair deal for the price(which differs from the advertised amount at the counter), was tasty enough, but I didn’t appreciate not getting the salad. Oh well, at least they didn’t forget the cocktail sauce. Then I really would’ve been pissed!

I would have given 5 stars however the wait was kinda long, however I think it was from the amount of people in and having to cook up the Philly cheese steak sandwiches! They were delicious, the gentleman at the register suggested it and said I wouldn’t go wrong. He was right! The amount of food it was would satisfy any appetite. I had plenty of leftovers and I shared with my daughter. It was very good.

These guys are HORRIBLESPAMMERS. They litter my apartment complex with fliers and have been doing so for over a year! I have spoken directly to their manager explaining that they’re trespassing and he said he would have them stop. This was 6 months ago. My apartments staff has also called to complain. Every time I see someone putting fliers on apartment doors for this company I tell them to leave. They say they will but then continue putting fliers on other tenant’s doors. We live in a gated community and they are trespassing and soliciting and they won’t stop even after this business’s manager told me he would stop these fliers from being delivered. I held off on posting this for over a year, but after the 10th flier and having done everything possible to get them to stop, I’m posting to warn others about this business.

These dudes are dickheads. We ordered a couple of $ 5 pizzas, sat down to eat it, and the guy up front told us we’d be charged $ 2 if we wanted to eat the pizza in the restaurant.

I ate here while waiting for my car to be repaired at the nearby pep boys. I chose this over church’s fried chicken and a car wash parking lot tamale cart. So my options were limited. pricing is inconsistent between the exterior window signage, the countertop door hanger menus, and the in store menu board so order carefully and watch the tab. They charge a dollar for a credit card on a $ 20 order. They don’t let you use the restroom, even if you are dining in their dining room. The food is ok. I don’t live in the area, but, if I did, I would probably not return.

BEVERYWARYABOUTGIVINGYOURCREDITCARDNUMBEROVERTHEPHONEWHENORDERINGFROMTHISLOCATION. I ordered a pizza over the phone earlier this month. I used a credit card that 1) I never keep a balance on and 2) I only use for specific transactions in order to easily identity credit card fraud. Since giving my credit card number over the phone, there have been between 5 – 6 online Hotwire transactions charged to my credit card, which of course, I am not responsible for. Fortunately Citibank flagged them as fraud and is doing a full investigation. I called the owner of this establishment this morning and he assured me that neither he nor any of his employees would ever write down the credit card number and CVV… that they just enter it in and don’t retain. I think he is delusional if he thinks all of his employees are 100% trustworthy. There is nothing to stop them from writing down the numbers before entering them into the system. All future flyers appearing on my door from Giant Pizza King will be used to line my cat’s litter box…

Took an hour and 6 minutes for my order to arrive, which would be fine considering we ordered a 28 inch pizza(I’m sure it takes a little longer to get one of those in the oven and cook it) but it arrived cold, which is lame. The place is less than 2 miles away, so there’s really no excuse. In addition, the guy didn’t seem to be able to get it into my apartment building by himself so I had to wander across my complex in my pjs to carry it in, which I managed just fine. The pizza itself was okay, we were super entertained by the giant-ness of it, but that’s pretty much the most impressive thing it had going for it. Probably wouldn’t order it again unless I had a coupon or something. Meh.

Lets be honest, this place ain’t winnin’ no awards, but it’s not bad. I got the 14″ pepperoni for only $ 5.50 after tax and although the crust coulda been crispiser it satisfied. They have other options as well… burgers, wings, gyros… but my friends ordered the burger and gyro, and one of em got an upset stomach… I’m not gonna say which meat it was though just to make a game out of it =) I’m reminded of the old joke… pizzas like sex, when it’s good it’s REALLYGOOD, and when it’s bad… it’s still pretty damn good.

Giant Pizza King has reasonably priced pizza but it definitely is not the greatest. It’s good for late nights when you want a lot of food, and you don’t feel like spending an arm and a leg. They’ve always been really friendly over here, and definitely always cheerful when taking my order so it makes the atmosphere nice. I come here every few weeks, and like I said it’s good for late nights. Like, when you’ve had a little to much drink, and your feeling hungry this is the place to go.

The Costco food court is my gold standard for cheap pizza. For about $ 11 you can get a delicious giant pizza that feeds five people. But Costco is not close to my house and Giant Pizza King is. I’ve been put off from going in by all the confusing and contradictory signage, but the other day I needed some food fast. For exactly $ 11 I got a large cheese pizza and a large pepperoni pizza that together fed five. So price-wise, this place was about the same as Costco. Unfortunately, the pizza was not as good. Most places in that price range aren’t though. The cheese was not as generous and crust was slightly sweet, which I don’t like. Lots of places do a sweet crust though, so clearly someone likes it! What blew me away though was the fabulous service. I originally placed an order for a two-pizza special they had on a flyer, but the guy at the counter pointed out that I could save money by just ordering two of the single-pizza deals they had advertised in the window. Thanks! And then they were just generally lovely and friendly and helpful. Definitely a level of customer service that you wouldn’t expect judging by the exterior. I will be back.

I ordered two meatball subs and Fries through grub hub for delivery and I’m completely unsatisfied with grub hubs recommendation for giant king pizza. The delivery person had no idea where he was going and insisted that my address does not exist. When I told him«yes of course it does I live there and asked him if he had navigation» he sounded insulted. After multiple phone conversation about the subject he finally found us and continue to tell us we told him wrong direction. After two bites of the food we just throw it away. Gross.

I placed my order at 5:28PM and received an email that it would be ready around 5:50PM. It took me around 15 minutes to drive there. When I arrived, I went in to check on it, and they had«just received the order» and was told it would take around 20 minutes. I sat in the car with my girlfriend to wait, since this place is not in the best neighborhood(think bars on windows and shady people wandering around). 20 minutes later, I went in to check on the food and it wasn’t ready yet. All of the sudden the workers got in a huge yelling match for the next ten minutes, which was just really really awkward. I almost walked out right then. Another ten minutes or so after that, my food was finally done and we left. Sadly, the food itself was not that great. I definitely would not go there again.

We were watching football and got hungry, our regular place does not take plastic so we ordered from Giant Pizza King, we prefer independent pizza makers than chains. (1) We had a coupon on our hand for a deal, they didn’t know what we were talking about (2) The pizza arrived 1.5 hours after we ordered it — We paid $ 5 for delivery and another fee for using a credit card. We thought ok, may be it will be good (3) Uncooked dough, whatever pepperoni and sausage it did have, tasted just like fat, no sauce, no flavor (4) We called back to see what they could do, they said call back in 1-hour, the owner isn’t here (5) We called back and my girlfriend ended up having a yelling match with the guy trying to explain our position, he wasn’t having any of it, he said«We are the pizza kings!», she said«We are your customers» at that time I just asked her to hang up, obviously customer service is a foreign thing to a low quality shop like this. (6) He called back to try to send us another pizza or give us a $ 7 discount on our next order — We said no thank you Worst pizza I have ever had, that’s counting frozen items from the supermarket. Customer service? None existent, they will sell you bad food and think that they are doing you a favor.

Supposably this location is closed? Well they are advertising like morons all over my apartment complex still. I can see why there business is struggling there trying to ram crap food down people’s throats! Who ever runs this places thinks they can annoy the local residents enough with there door trash ads we will just inevitably give up and order. Wrong! Don’t order from here this place is obnoxious.

On a recommendation from the bar tender at Soda Bar, I popped over here to get a quick bite. At first it was hard to figure out what this place was. It seems like they are mainly a pizza place but when you look at the menu, there are so many other options like wings and salads… etc. These guys were slammed since it was prime time Friday night. The phone was constantly ringing and the guys in the kitchen were running around like Tasmanian Devils. I ordered a gyro sandwich for $ 7, which I thought was a decent deal. Well somehow I was misheard and I got a complete Gyro plate with a decent sized salad and fries. Enough food for two to be honest. So, im not sure if they did not charge me enough or what but these guys were too busy to care. Either way I was pretty impressed by the food, especially from a place that slinging pizzas out the door like ninja stars.

The food is fresh and really yummy but the best part about this place is the friendly staff! All the guys in there are very nice every time I go in or call. I love that they deliver for a pretty minimal fee($ 2) and that the food prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes! The wait time for food is a liiiiiiiittle slow, but I’ve only ever ordered from there on weekends so it’s understandable. Also, be aware that they charge $ 1 for any credit/debit transaction. Overall, KGP is a great place. Definitely give it a try!

Took me 5 minutes and I got my hand all dirty trying to get their unsolicited and unwanted coupon mailer out of my screen door, where it had been lodged between the screen mesh and the wire covering. So, like, Unilocal
