Not exactly premium fresh and clean ingredients. Some yes but not at all. Just comparing this to some organic pizza places, but you pay for what you get. The lunch special is $ 5.99 now, w/o the salad. Maybe it was a bad item the first slice wasn’t bad the second didn’t taste as fresh.

This joint is right in the trolley station. I stopped by conveniently before boarding my Amtrak train. They have meal deals and they have a selection of pizza to choose from. Good stuff for sure.

I’ve ate at this place so many times and received one of those cards where if you buy 10 pizzas then you’ll get the next one for free. So I tried to use it today and the old man at the cash register refused to give it to me. He claimed that I used it already and told me I had to pay for the pizza. I thought that if you redeem your free offer then the establishment would take away the card and discard it. I felt like grabbing those cards that they leave out on the counter and throwing them in the trash because why leave it there if they’re not going to honor it. Well… that’s my rant of the day.

The pizza isn’t very good here. The pictured pizza, with the swirl, is the buffalo chicken and ranch pizza. Not a good combo. I was gullible enough to get a slice. It was almost inedible– the dough was sort of pathetic and bready, sort of like undercooked white bread. The ranch dressing was just a bad idea, and mixed with the buffalo sauce, just bad. They allow 1 free refill on soda. I added one star because it’s right across from the train station, so there are few alternatives. Maybe just go to Bruegger’s Bagels or Starbucks if you need to eat before catching the train…

We went to this restaurant because of positive Unilocal reviews and were very disappointed. I had a calzone that was OK, but nothing special. The crust was good, but there was very little cheese. My wife’s meat lasagna was terrible. Lots of noodles and almost no meat in a bland sauce reminiscent of Chef Boyardee. We must have caught them on an off night… that’s the only way I can reconcile our experience with all of the positive Unilocal reviews.

Wow that might be the worst customer service I’ve ever got. Ordered a single slice of pizza and sat there for about 10 minutes while people came in and got their food quicker then me. Was finally asked after obviously growing impatient what I ordered. I thought that was the point of taking my money and asking me what I wanted 10 minutes before. Was told i had waited 2 – 3 minutes and the slice I wanted was out. Horrible Rude staff!!! There are plenty of other places close by where they care about the customers

If your looking for a cheap snack not a bad option. The slice of roni I had tasted like what I imagine the EBT pizza at 7⁄11 tastes like, reminded me a little of the government pizza in school cafeterias. Lots of better options out there.

Great stromboli, fresh ingrediants, very good sauce. Very friendly, helpful staff. Will visit again next time I’m in San Diego.

Ordered large three topping pizza and a antipasto salad. Everything was great and the delivery didn’t take long at all. Definitely found my new pizza joint!

Delicious! We went about an hour before closing so there weren’t many choices but I like the classic plain cheese anyway! The staff is very friendly and this place has great deals, definitely the best bang for your buck!

This place was awesome. Was looking for a quick bite while we waited for our train so we popped in here. Super friendly staff and some of the best lasagna I’ve had in forever. We will be back.

Pizza was great. Had it delivered to our hotel, used card no issues at all. Pizza was flavorful, hot, and came with plates, cups and all the other things we needed. Price was good even for downtown San Diego. Great job, would recommend to all.

I’ve only had their salads so far(yes i know, i’m slacking!) But they are really good! This is a definite hot spot for lunch during the week as it’s so conveniently located. They have a frequent lunch card which is cool — free lunch after you buy 10. Also, be sure to take advantage of the online ordering system. It definitely cuts down on time.

We are in San Diego for a quick getaway and it starts raining. And raining. And raining. Great time to order food! We found this place on Unilocal so we called and ordered delivery. The man on the phone was very polite and I think he was the same person who delivered our food. The delivery was faster than the estimated time he gave me on the phone, which is awesome because we were starving. My husband ordered the Buffalo chicken ranch pizza which he said was really good. I ordered a calzone. Never having had a calzone before I don’t have anything to compare it to but it was delicious! That little calzone had more toppings in it than I’ve had on entire pizzas before. We also had a small antipasto salad which had a few too many peppers on it for me but once I kicked all of those out the salad was really good also — lettuce was fresh and Italian dressing topped it off nicely. If you’re staying nearby and get rained in, you can’t go wrong ordering from Giovanni’s!

The food is okay. We ordered a slice of pizza, stuffed shells, and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings or from the freezer, and you could definitely taste that. They were really soggy. The stuff shells had at least a quarter and a cheese stacked on top of them, if you are a big cheese person then you’ll love it. Me personally I am not. The pizza was the only thing that was decent but even that you couldn’t barely taste any chicken. We ordered The Buffalo chicken ranch pizza. The person taking our order was very friendly, but it’s right next to the trolley and it was really loud plus the type of people that were coming in and out or not the type of people that you wanted around you while you were eating. One lady came in screaming and definitely look like she was on drugs. But she had some kind of boyfriend with her calmed her down so that was nice. I think that the average person wouldn’t mind this place at all. They are priced really fairly. It’s just that I would never eat here again. Too much cheese, not enough febreeze.

I was in need of a pizza snack after touring Midway, this place was great. We ordered 2 slices + fountain beverage for $ 5.99 — love me some specials! I am a bit of a pizza snob(from New York) but the slices were hot, fresh and tasty. We also ordered the baked cannelloni w/sausage to go, but took a couple bites just to taste; cheese lovers unite! So. much. cheese. This certainly not a dish for everyday eating, but yummy nonetheless. The only downside — totally not the restaurants fault — its on the train line(in addition to downtown) so the people stopping in can be ‘colorful’ to say the least, but it didn’t ruin my good time. My suggestion to the owners would be to add a TV or have some music playing… If I’m in the mood for pizza and I am downtown, I would stop and grab a slice.

The WORST customer service! Out of town and chose them out of a selection of menus and was excited until my order arrived and was burnt, they don’t list all of the ingredients in salads or just don’t care to take their time to prepare the proper ones. When I called to have it fixed«Giovani» was not accommodating at all and in fact seemed to argue with me! Pathetic.

Ordered the manicotti and a calzone, both of which were decently priced. Both were tasty and the delivery was fast and right to my hotel room! One thing… No utensils, which I thought was a little weird since I specified that the delivery was to a hotel. Still, a great meal.

This place is good to grab a quick slice for lunch. They have some good lunch special deals and a variety of types if pizza. They only have about 10 tables(depending on how they are configured) but it’s good for a really casual counter service lunch or take out.

Lunch specials on the pizza slices, 2 slices for $ 5. Not too bad. Pizzas were okay, nothing special or stood out(it aint no Bronx or anything) thin crust, and a bit salty. I got the pepperoni and the supreme. I don’t have nothing much to say, came in ordered, waited like 5 minutes, got my slices and left… Since it’s right across the street from my work, I’ll be coming back to try other things.
