ZEROSTARS!!! A couple of months ago I needed my carpet cleaned because my family was coming into town for the holidays. While I was getting gas, I saw the«Good Lookin’ Carpets» van and decided to ask the owner(I forgot his name, but I think he’s the only one who cleans carpet) about his prices. The prices sounded reasonable so I asked for a card/flyer and told him I’d call him in a couple of days. A couple of days later I Unilocaled the company and noticed there were NO reviews for the company. Eh, not a big deal – I’m all about supporting a small /local business man. That said, I spoke with the owner and he agreed to clean my carpet(of a 1Bd/1Bth apartment) for about $ 60 and my living room rug and mattress would be an extra fee. Once again, not a big deal – the prices were fair and I needed my carpet cleaned ASAP so I was ready to do business with him. Originally, I wanted him to come Sunday morning but he said he doesn’t work on Sunday’s – and he was going out of town(for the next couple of weeks) Saturday night – so we agreed on the upcoming Saturday at 10:00am. On Thursday, my apartment complex agreed to clean my carpet for free so I called Mr. Good Lookin’ Carpets and asked him if he’d still clean my rug, mattress, and maybe couches and he said yes. Friday rolls around and Mr. GLC calls to confirm our appt on Saturday… Saturday rolls around and I get a random call from him(at 8:30am) stating, «Hi, this is Mr. GLC, I see I just missed a call from you – who is this?» I was thinking, um… what is this guy talking about?! Is he hungover? Drunk? I didn’t call you! … … … He finally realizes it’s me(and realizes I have an appt with him in less than 2hrs) and he says, «Ok, I’ll call you when I’m on my way!» 10:00am passes and Mr. GLC is nowhere to be found… At 10:15am he calls saying, «Sorry, I won’t be able to clean your apartment today – my carpet cleaning machine isn’t working and I’m not sure when it’ll be fixed. If it’s fixed by tomorrow(Sunday), would you like me to clean your carpet?» I was speechless and thinking, «I thought you didn’t work on Sunday’s and you were going out of town!?» Ugh, I just told Mr. GLCNOTHANKS! He was very unprofessional and sounded like he could care less about missing the appointment. ADVICE: DONOT use this carpet cleaning company or you’ll be scrambling around ATTHELASTMINUTE trying to find another company can squeeze you in at the last minute. Smh!
