Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra

The GSDC Orchestra is a great community group. Concerts are relatively inexpensive and they play a wide variety of music. It is a full symphony orchestra, and is conducted by Dr. Angela Yeung. There are between 5 – 8 concerts per year, usually in the fall and spring, and the group also plays for various music festivals around town. In March, the orchestra hosts a concerto competition for students through the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and the winners perform their concerto with the full orchestra. This group is great for families with young kids as an introduction to classical music, the concerts are always fun and Dr. Yeung normally invites people up onto the stage to sit with the orchestra and see what it is like first hand.
