I love Grinds and Vines. They have really good coffee and at a great price. It has become my go to place for a coffee break as well as a place to study. The staff is great, Brian is super helpful. Kudos to him, he’s always there and always has a smile on his face. The place has a great ambiance to relax and enjoy a well made cup of coffee. My go to drink is cappuccino, which I really like. The Macchiato’s and Iced Latte’s were really yummy too. The pastries are tasty as well. Definitely a place to check out and a great addition to North Park.

Stopped here for a coffee on the way to work. I was pleasantly surprised with their drink menu. I opted for a Coconut Mocha and it was yummy! The guy at the counter was nice and friendly as he answered my questions about their wine bar. I left with a cute«Good Morning» note on my coffee cup sleeve which made me smile. I was also given a 50% off wine tasting card. I look forward to wine tasting tonight and will definitely be coming back for more morning coffees! :)

Nice urban-rustic space with an adjacent sister winery. Looking forward to the next phase of their expansions!

We stopped in here for coffee while having a «staycation» in San Diego at the Lafayette Hotel and were so impressed that we came back the very next day! The place is small and charming and the owner was very engaging and knowledgeable. I appreciated that the coffee drinks were rich in flavor minus the overly sweet syrups that tend to ruin or overpower the taste of the coffee. I had the Almond Milk Chai Latte the first day and the Mexican Mocha the second day and both were delicious. Highly recommend!

We popped in here on a walk to the Hillcrest Farmer’s Market and had been fairly curious about it. That early in the morning, the«Vine» part was closed, but Brian was hustling in the Grinds department. His coffee was really, really tasty, as were his smoothies. I got a mexican mocha which I drank a bit too fast because it was so good. What made it great, though, was Brian himself. Really affable, friendly with a lot of hustle and authentic desire to make you feel welcome. I can see once the outside area is opened up and the place gets a little more polish on it, it would be somewhere I’d happily stop in often. My only critique might be the signage, which I’m hoping will be redone eventually. It’s easy to miss and doesn’t give off the high quality vibe I’m sure they’re going for.

Nice hidden gem. It would make the perfect spot for studying, nice quiet chill spot. I came with my wife and child and had an amazing almond milk chai latte. Just the right amount of sweetness and smooth. They also have a nice assortment of pastries. Would definitely come back for a relaxing coffee and small bite!

It’s perfect! Great bites(sandwiches and salads and such) and delicious coffee. There is a great variety of smoothies, blended coffees, espresso drinks and coffee blends. Brian is friendly and excited to be in North Park. The shop is next to Batteries and Bulbs and really hard to see from the street but it is worth the hunt.

Excited to find this place! We visit the area often and finding a coffee shop walking distance is a plus. Carmel latte was made very well. The pastry case will have to be explored next time. Talked to the owner it sounds like big plans for expanding menu and adding a patio.

I am visiting the parents for Thanksgiving and made a stop at this coffee bar. I met Brian and got to chatting about his vision for the shop and tasted the coffee selection. Overall loved Brian’s attitude, the focus on quality ingredients came through in the food & drinks, and the fantastic coffee concoctions will ensure I come back! Look forward to my next visit.

This is a great little coffee shop that is only going to get better, given their plans to expand the menu and the actual physical environment of the eating area and kitchen. I stopped in for some house drip coffee and a sandwich. The sandwich I ordered was a turkey and provolone with added bacon on a French roll with a pesto spread. The coffee was a dark roast and was surprisingly smooth. It was smooth and rich with great flavor. In other words, it was easy to drink and enjoyable. The sandwich was good. The deli turkey meat and provolone cheese were used sparingly but good. I would of liked to have seen more of both. The bacon was very good and prepared to a crispy texture and was quite tasty. I liked the pesto spread. It was mild in flavor and came with just the right amount of seasoning and garlic; garlic that did not overwhelm the palate. The roll was soft and moist and the addition of the peppery arugula was keen. Always a great green. They offered up a side of potato salad with some crunchy gherkins or little pickles. The potato salad was good. The potatoes were tender, and although I thought the salad was a little over dressed, it was tasty. Service was on point and quite friendly. They have no problem modifying your eats and drinks. I look forward returning to check out their outside patio they are working on and to try some new menu items. Oh yes, they offer Wi-Fi!

Fantastic coffee, awesome vibe, stellar staff! This is my new coffee spot in North Park. Oh, and when I don’t want coffee, they have wine for that.

It’s a little hidden and part of a wine bar so kind of hard to find. I like trying new cafes and this was close by. I got a large iced vanilla latte and thought it was pretty pricey at 5 dollars and change. It tastes just okay, not the worst. The guy working there was super nice tho. I would be up for trying the wine place next door.

It’s easy to drive past this store if you’re not careful. It’s at the southeast corner of El Cajon Blvd and Texas St and located inside Négociant Winery. The owner is super-cool & friendly and he will help you out with drink or snack options. I suggest getting the almond-snicker-mocha to drink with a cheese & meat platter to snack on.

Outstanding coffee and customer service. We’re down from the Bay Area for our teaching weekend so always look for a nearby place to get really good coffee. Tried this today and had some difficulty as 2419 is a Bulbs and Batteries place. Called and Brian was helpful and specific about where they are in relation so got there in a minute. He welcomed me and we chatted while he made our mochas. The mochas were superb as was Brian. We will most definitely be back the next time we come down.

Always looking for a fun new coffee stop I was excited to try this place. Who doesn’t love being able to order a latte and a wine tasting in the same place! Great décor and I love all the wine barrels out in the open. I got to chat with one of the owners, Brian, and he explained all the things they still plan to add. Delicious Italian coffee with plans to add some local roasters. They are still working on the dog-friendly patio which will add some great seating. And it’s in a super easy location.

The BEST coffee I have had in years!!! The staff is very friendly, and quick, and very personable. The atmosphere really sets its self apart from all other coffee bars. I can’t wait to go back and bring my dog once their outdoor patio is complete!!! Plus they have an amazing winery next door so once you’re done with coffee you can have some delicious wine!!!

This awesome spot is unlike any other coffee shop you’ll find around — it’s in a working winery! They feature Lavazza coffee that is super and have a great selection of other tea and coffee drinks. I had the Shake-a-Nutini which is a espresso martini with Nutella, so good. Definitely check this little gem out!

Unpretentious little coffee shop that serves GOOD drinks and DELICIOUS pastries. Get one of each. There’s plenty of space to sit and study with outlets on almost every wall. I ordered an iced green tea that was brewed to perfection and did not have a bitter after taste. Oh a big plus was the staff was super chill and made you feel welcome

Stopped by during their soft opening and I have the admit, the coffee was amazing! My problem = I could drink 5 lattes in one sitting! Nom nom! The owners of Negociant(Winery next door/next room) and the coffee bar are super friendly and welcoming. The design of the space is adorable and relaxing. It’s a must-stop in North Park. Coffee AND wine, whaaat?!
