I’m always happy to see Alex. He’s a true professional who knows what will and won’t work for your hair. For me, he’s always done an excellent job of listening to my needs and wants and honestly– he has my hair looking the best it ever has. I referred my mom to him and she’s hooked too. I’ve been to Alex a couple times now. The first time I went I needed to have some serious hair-​repair from damage caused by another salon. He was sweet, genuine, incredibly helpful, and willing to work with me to get my hair back in shape. After some time, my hair had gotten back to healthy and I recently went in to get it lightened up a little (the last place turned it almost black!)…he took it up to a comfortable color without making it look unnatural or brittle. We chatted the entire time too. :) If you’re looking for someone who cares about your hair, but moreover cares about you… go to Alex! You won’t regret it!

Alex is an amazing individual and truly experienced when it comes to his craft. Yesterday was my first appointment with him and I was truly blown away: by his personality, by his energy, by his expertise, and by his knowledge. His skills are more advanced then most stylists I’ve been to. And what I love most is that his goal is to not only make your hair style look absolutely great on you, but to also cut it in a way that keeps the hair healthy. I learned so much from his yesterday, ranging from hair health tips to life. He is truly a joy to be around and I would recommend anyone to him in a heart beat!

I found Alex almost by accident, am so glad I did. Not only is he an incredibly talented hair stylist, he is extremely knowledgeable about hair and body health as well. As someone who is a little obsessed with research and knowing the facts about what is and is not healthy for me, his wisdom and interest in the subject is a breath of fresh air. He is never forceful or insistent about this knowledge either – he gracefully informs you about what he knows and lets you do the rest. I don’t color my hair, but if I did, he is the only one I would trust to do it. Alex is a pleasure to be around, and I can’t wait for my next appointment!

I went to Alex last week for the first time (referred by a a friend) for a haircut/​style. I had such a great experience at a reasonable price! He was so professional and takes his profession very seriously. Not only is he talented, but he is really friendly and honest. He made me feel very comfortable and confident in his abilities. I’ve been getting compliments from everyone I know and even strangers! I’m so glad I found him and I look forward to the next cut!

Alex is WONDERFUL! You will be hard pressed to find a better hair stylist. Unlike other stylists, he sets up an initial consultation to get to know your hair before he treats it. I went to him to ombré my hair and I was super nervous as I had never dyed it before. He did a sample strand to see how the color would take, unlike most stylists that would just go in blind and apply the color. During my actual appointment, we applied color gradually, styled it to see how it took, and then reapplied to get the shade I wanted (while making sure he did minimal damage to the hair). He also put keratin in the bleach to offer maximum conditioning and protection. He genuinely cares about the health of your hair and won’t do anything to jeopardize it. As a BONUS, he is such a wonderful person and an absolute joy to talk to. He is very honest and accommodating, and takes pride in making sure his clients leave looking their very best. He works in a private studio, so it doesn’t feel like you are just another number like it often does in big salons. All in all, it was the best salon experience I have ever had. It is so hard to find a good stylist, and I will never go anywhere else after seeing Alex! You won’t regret it!

Alex Castanedo is an amazing stylist. I met him through a friend who recommended his services and she was not mistaken, he is the best. He takes his time to know his client and what they want prior to treating their hair. He has cut, colored and styled my hair and he did an incredible job. His work is natural and classy. He is very careful not to damage your hair, he takes his time, specially when choosing a color that it is the right one for you and that your hair will not be damaged from it. He is very honest and very sweet with his clients. I absolutely love him and will go to his salon again!!!

ALEX IS THE BEST!!! I have been going to him for almost a year now and I love what he does to my hair. He gets to know your hair first and make it healthier before he does anything drastic, which is great because this way you don’t get any surprises. Everytime I leave his salon I feel like a movie star. In addition, Alex is a great human being who genuinely cares about his clients. Everytime I go I feel like my friend is doing my hair, time flies by. Trust me I have been looking for a good stylist for years, and I finally found the one!

I got a mindbody partnership certificate for my sister to go here, I didn’t know how was going to turn out, but I’m so glad I got it! She came out like a new person! Even she was wearing same clothes just with a haircut and a great styled hair she looked amazing!, Alex took off years from her, when we saw her, she looked incredible. I’m planning to take my other sisters here and myself of course. :) just to be warned he doesn’t have a receptionist so if you called and he does not answer, leave a message and he will get back to you, (when he is with a client he doesn’t pick up the phone), so in a way is nice to know when it will be your time there, he is not going to be in the phone with other clients. I will definitely recommend him :)
