Haunted San Diego Ghost Tours, LLC

One of the best tours ever! We loved the bus which inside is converted into a coffin. Our dressed to impress guide Victoria was fantastic and she did a fantastic job at each stop and each tale told. So glad I picked this as our ghost tour. Everyone had a great time and well worth the price paid. Keep in mind tours leave on time and it’s simply a must to get there early as parking is a nightmare. Once on the tour you will relax and have a great experience!

On Halloween, we went as a small group for a ghost tour as part of my friend’s birthday celebration. This tour has positives and negatives, but I think I had higher expectations. First, our guide, Victoria, was very good. She was knowledgeable about history, had memorized all the stories, and, yes, had lots of cheesy jokes. Our bus driver was also very pleasant.
I enjoyed the stories, which were particularly fun to hear around Halloween. Some were funny and others sent chills down your spine. I also felt that they took their time on the tour and did not rush to get it over with, as our tour lasted longer that the two hours expected.
What I was disappointed about, was that we didn’t go into many places. Sometimes we just saw the building from the outside, or passed by it, or learned about another haunted place that we didn’t go near. It was great to go into the William Heath Davis House, but that was the only house we went into. We did briefly go into a cemetery, and also went into the lobby of a hotel that had 2 haunted rooms. We really only went from Old Town to Golden Hill and the Gaslamp, and I had hoped to go around to other parts of San Diego. I understand that only so much is feasible in a couple hours, and that we likely don’t have the right to enter certain properties, but the tour left me a little short in that regard.
It would have been nice to have some bottled water on the bus, as we were on the tour for a while.
All in all, it was a fun experience.

Just attended the tour w/​Victoria as our guide. Loved it funny, interesting, creepy, and cheesy. Had a blast ! Even though you don’t do a lot of inside tour’s, she made it fun.

As a very amateur ghost enthusiast, I was hoping for a little more on this tour. The tour guide, Rebecca, though well rehearsed in her stories and I’m sure a very nice person, came off a bit forced, like a drama student at an audition. I’m not sure if every host has the same script, but please lose the corny jokes and schtick. I get that you have to appeal to tourists, but it would seem to me that people go on this tour to hear the stories and history and maybe get a little freaked out by some of it. The best part of the whole thing was the key at Villa Montezuma. Finally, it’d be so much better if you were able to go into these locations. If you want a ghostly time, I’d suggest the Whaley House tour.

My partner and I a great time with Dante Host and really enjoyed the historical information that he provided. We also found it funny when a homeless man came out of the bushes and scared him and flustered him.

Rebecca our tour guide was great! She knew the history of the haunted places we visited very well! The only thing that was disappointing was that we didn’t get to go into the houses we visited except for one in the gas lamp district. The reason I paid 35.00 was to be able to go in the Whaley house and the other places. The website is misleading.

This tour was not what we expected.

I thought I knew a lot about San Diego, but Dante is a true historian. He was incredible! I expected a fun campy «ghost» tour and it was that and more. His reasearch into the history was fascinating and added a level of respect to all the location, that was greatly appreciated. Dante left me wanting to take the tour over and over again. I would not only do it again but I have told all my friends and want to take more people and visiting guests on his tour!

For our tour tonight our delightful ghost host was Dante. He awoke our restless spirits with tantalizing tales of san Diego’s haunted history and kept the audience completely engaged in the possibility of lurking spirits through compelling stories and quick wit. this tour is a staple of our stay. Bring money for tips, this guy is deserving of them.

This company sent me an email less than an hour before our scheduled tour to CANCEL!!! We were already at the meeting location. I had to reach them by phone to figure out what was going on. Nothing was offered to make this better. Impacted our entire day. Disappointed & disgusted with this lack of customer focus.

I’ve been on this tour twice now… about 5 years apart. Our tour guide (Victoria???) was so professional and funny. She is a mesmerizing story teller and really allows the guests to live the stories. Booking seats was easy to do online and we started promptly on time. The bus was comfortable and the tour is family friendly (not small children). The first time I went there were some drunk guests (one threw up on the bus) but it was still entertaining. The second time was full of families and it was even more entertaining. (This is not an alcohol related tour) The talks are thorough and adds some theatrical liberties were appropriate.
The tour guide talked the whole time and there was never a dull moment. Worth the money and I’d definitely take someone new to San Diego on this tour again. No one jumps out at you and it’s not scary… just historical and entertaining.

This was an awesome tour! We brought our 11 year old son who was REALLY into it too. Dante was a great host, loved his cheesy jokes. He even conveniently obscured some of the more adult material so it would go over our sons head. Learned a lot of great San Diego history too. I would recommend this tour to friends for sure.

This tour, especially being led by our Ghost Host Dante, is both imaginative and informative! Dante offers historical gems about the city, and its colorful characters, that will delight and fascinate even the most skeptical person in your party.
Right from the start it is clear that Dante loves his craft; it shows ardently through in his presentation. I have been on many tours, and there are many times where it is very hard to hear clearly the tour guide. As Dante led us in the different lively ambiance of the city via foot and bus I had no problem hearing the tales.
The tour enables you to feel a part of the history and stories; it’s almost like a séance type experience amongst strangers from all over.
The dynamics of the tour projected a very cohesive positive energy that I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who loves history and enjoys hearing it from a person who is dedicated to his craft.
Living in San Diego for about 13 years I now have two more tours to take on my adventure list because of the information I gained from this tour; one being able to participate in an actual ghost hunt and another to take a historical walking tour around the city.
A definite must for a ghost host you can trust!

Dante was an excellent guide and really made our evening. We visited five haunted sites including the Waley House in Old Town San Diego, Villa Montezuma, Horton Grand Hotel, the William Heath Davis House, and a cemetery in Old Town. We were able to go inside the hotel and one of the houses as well as the cemetery. We got tons of info about the houses themselves, the people who lived and died in them, and what’s going on with them now. The tour is a combination bus/​walking tour. I didn’t see or feel anything ghostly but then again I’m a bit of a skeptic. Still recommend for believers and skeptics alike!

This tour was awesome! Victoria was really funny and made the tour exciting. I loved the history of the places we stopped by and she was very informative about everything.
I didn’t catch any orbs or EVPs lol but it was a fun experience since I love paranormal stuff. Although the house that we went in, I felt really nauseous and the air felt really dense to me while everyone else looked fine lol Other than that I would take this tour again and hopefully catch something on camera!

Went on a girls trip and decided to take this tour. It was so much fun and very informative. I highly recommend it! We visited many historic sights and where able to go inside a few.

Me and my 11 year old daughter did the tour on vacation & both had a blast! Our storyteller for the evening (Leo) was splendid & ‘punny’ enough to keep you on your toes.
The bus had me giggling each time we got back on & the information at each location & in between was interesting enough to hold our attention for the entire trip.

Loved the tour! Host was great, and knew her history. We got to enter the Davis home in the gaslamp district after hours and while a paranormal investigation was going on. Saw some very spooky things! I will def be back soon!

What a great tour! My kids had a great time. Even took a pic and got something on camera!
