If you are looking for a Polynesian, Maori or a tribal tattoo, look no further! Marcel is the best tribal tattoo artist in San Diego. His designs are very complex and balanced. His shop is tiki themed and super cute. Marcel is a great guy too! He’s very patient and thorough and will take the time to make your design the best it can be.

I love this tattoo artist and shop. First time tattoo peeps with a fear of needles… Marcel is your guy! Me and my friends all came here for a charity event Marcel was holding where he was donating proceeds from that day to a local dog rescue. Not only is he charitable, he is also a really nice person and made me and all my friends feel very comfortable. He has a bunch of great artwork to choose from on his walls or he can create something for you. His shop is really clean and peaceful, so the experience is comfortable. My other friends, who had tattoos already said that Marcel was by far the least painful experience they have had. My one friend who is really afraid of needles and was shaking and worried, was set to ease by Marcel and couldn’t believe when it was done how simple and pain free he made it. All of the tattoos look fabulous and I would definitely recommend Marcel and Holy Turtle Tattoo Studio…

When I first went to Holy Turtle I had a very complex and detailed drawing that I had created and I wanted it as a tattoo. We had to scale the drawing down from the original size so that it would fit on my back so it became even more detailed. It took over four hours and when it was finished I was so happy and couldn’t believe how good it turned out. I went back for my second tattoo of my own design and was just as happy. Marcel is by far an artist and very talented tattooist!!!
