Bad customer service. Ignored customer’s e-mails & multiple phone calls for 3 weeks, then finally responded with«We have 2 months waiting list. Please find another company». Wasted my precious & limited time to learn before my travel. This school is the same as «Horsebound» school. They have the same address.

I heard about H&W Riding School through Groupon. It was a terrific experience and I would highly recommend going for a lesson or two or three. Jo is a calm, patient instructor with a sharp eye for ways to help you improve your riding skills. In the span of four lessons, I got to ride four different horses and experience various styles of riding — including bareback which is, let’s face it, every girl’s dream. Something unique about H&W is that it’s located on the property of an animal rescue organization. You get to meet(and ride!) horses that were rescued from various situations and given a second chance at a great life. To me this was a major perk because I’m a huge animal lover. This added a real feel-good element to the valuable learning experience that I received.

We found H&W through a groupon special and I think it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! I bought lessons for my daughters 9th birthday(and ‘had’ to sign up myself as well). She LOVES them and I’m finally getting the horse fix that I’ve wanted since I was 5. Jo is such a wonderful teacher. She’s extremely patient and wonderful with kids and adults alike. We’ve been on a few different horses now and they’ve all been awesome! This isn’t like the standard ‘trail ride’ experience you might get elsewhere where you get right onto a saddled up horse and off you go. She teaches you everything, from safety, grooming and saddling up, to riding, dismounting and getting all the tack(and horse) back to where it belongs. This is an ALL inclusive horse lesson and we enjoy every moment :) It’s been a spectacular bonding experience with my daughter and now my 8&12 year old sons want to join in too!
