My husband and I love iceskimo and actually had them at our wedding! The owner, Robert was very professional throughout the entire process, from beginning to end. Our wedding guests loved it! If you are looking for something fun and different to offer your guests as a late night sweet treat, I would definitely recommend iceskimo! My faves are the lychee, black sesame, and strawberry ice. Extra condensed milk is also a must!

Lychee snow had great flavor and was a nice refreshing dessert. Fresh toppings were very tasty and there was a large selection! Was surprised and happy they had aloe as a topping!

Walked in after a date night at Dumpling Inn in the same plaza, wanted to try it out since we both never been to this establishment before. The spot is so well lit, and to the left the logo just absorbs the entire wall, and your automatically welcomed by the employees. Taiwanese Inspired Shaved Snow with a Toppings Bar, all priced by weight, similar to a fro-yo type spot. I ordered THESPECIAL — Café Con Panna Stumpton Coffee Snow Shaved into a Cup, Topped with Condensed Milk, Crushed Oreos, Housemade Panna Cotta & Caramel Drizzle. Extra additions — Brownies I ordered this in a small cup and it came out to about $ 5 and it was Delicious, the Panna Cotta is a vanilla custard they make in house and it was a lovely addition. Definitely a place to try if you have a sweet tooth and are in the area.

Finally! I’ve been waiting to try this place for a LONG time. I love the concept of paying per ounce. The toppings here are great. Fresh fruit, mochi, chocolate, condensed milk, and so much more. My only wish is that they could open one downtown so I don’t have to drive far!

Yummy! Good dessert place! You can order original with fruit toppings and not feel as guilty for over indulging, nonetheless these desserts are light and delicious.

I am a big fan of dessert and most especially shaved snow. If I can have it all the time I would. Friends of mine rave about ice skimo and so after indulging at Kula we opted for dessert here. Even if we were beyond full and steering towards food coma we of course had room for dessert. And for ice skimo heck yea. The snow is fluffy and just melts. The fruit fresh, ripe and sweet. Plus they make me pile on as much condensed milk as I want. Plus! They have pre made options available or you could make your own. They charge per ounce. They also have a kid size, which isn’t too tiny but good enough just to have your dessert fix. At my first visit I opted for the summer love with their famous original shaved snow, mangos and strawberries. Tip: get their stamp card and after ten you’ll get a free one. Monday’s are double stamp days.

Shaved Snow! Much Delicious! I’ve tried shaved snow in many different places and not many compare to what’s offered here! Both in terms of shaved snow flavors and toppings! This place has a huge variety of snow flavors such as the classic milk flavor as well as hip new flavors like horchata! You can either go build your own, where you choose the snow flavor and choose the toppings you want or go with their pre-designed specialities. So with build your own basically there’s 3 sizes and with the large and party size you can get 2 different snow flavors, which I highly recommend! A large is plenty to share with 2 people! The shaved snow works like most yoghurt places where it’s priced by the ounce. We decided to go with the milk and horchata flavors. They were both pretty good, but I’d have to give the nod to milk. The horchata was good and kinda accurate, but just a little too sweet for my taste. Now onto the toppings… There’s a huge variety… ranging from typical American snacks like Oreos, M&M’s and sour worms to the classic Taiwanese snacks like almond jello, grass jelly, boba, and red bean! I have a Taiwanese tongue, so I naturally opted for more of the Taiwanese options. They also have a good range of fruits as well like mango and strawberry. Lastly, you can put condensed milk!!! My absolute favorite! I love the taste of condensed milk and I drench the snow with it! Also, you can ask them to add condensed milk in the middle of the snow too! Let them know when you order! After putting on your toppings, they weigh it. When I went, it was 48 cents a ounce. which is pretty pricey. but the thing is nothing else really compares it. Our large size came out to a whopping $ 10!!! Pricey, but well worth it. I’m normally a big fan of shaved ice and now I’ve grown to like the snow option as well! I highly recommend anyone to try out this place! Whether you’re familiar with Taiwanese shaved snow or not. It’s definitely worth a try for all ya’ll!

I plan dinner dates in the area just to suggest Iceskimo for dessert. I have sudden, intense cravings for black sesame that hit hard and fast. I’m not saying I have a problem, but I would do terrible things for a cup of shaved ice. Price: I believe its 48 cents an ounce. Not too bad, given the fact that there’s not too many places in San Diego that offer this kind of shaved ice. Flavors: They have a good selection of flavors, but I tried black sesame on my first visit and never looked back. It has a sweet, nutty flavor that’s incredibly addicting. Green tea is pretty good as well, but I’ll probably never deviate from black sesame. Toppings: Tons of toppings as well! I like the different jellies, mainly the aloe and almond jelly. Their homemade panna cotta is pretty solid as well.

While I was visiting my sister at San Diego, we decided to go here for dessert! There are three things I need to note about this place 1. If you’re visiting and not familiar with the area, parking is IMPOSSIBLE here ESPECIALLY during the nighttime! It took my sister and I at least 15 minutes to find an open spot and we had to walk a little to get to our location. 2. The temporary Thai tea shaved ice is DELICIOUS. My sister and I got this with condensed milk, red bean, boba(which was my favorite topping), mochi balls, and jelly(which is my sister’s favorite topping) 3. Black sesame was also really good! It’s VERY strong, so if you’re not a big fan of sesame I don’t recommend it. Overall, the service was really good, and I’m really glad I went here! I will come here again: D

This is a great place to go after you go to Revolving Sushi. Their portions are really big. I’d suggest ordering a small and sharing it. We ordered their Special and it comes highly suggested. Next time we’ll play around and try something different. Possible even design our own.

Iceskimo offers shaved snow of different flavors with a variety of topping options. It’s somewhat like the self-serve froyo concept where you choose your yogurt and your toppings. The slight difference is the worker serves you the flavor you picked and then you pile it with the toppings you like. What is shaved snow you ask? It’s basically a hybrid of shaved ice and ice cream. Pre-flavored slabs of cylindrical ice are placed in a machine that shaves and creates light fluffy, creamy goodness. Where shaved ice is coarse and has a crunchy texture, shaved snow is feathery with a soft melt in your mouth texture. They have so many different flavors of shaved snow: coffee, chocolate, strawberry, red bean, horchata(which is new), and more! Toppings include anything from fruits(strawberries, lychees, mango, cherries, kiwi, and more), brownie bites, cheese cake, mochi, oreos, cookie dough bites, and much more! For those that are shaved snow rookies, they have a menu of pre-selected flavors and toppings: Bruce Lychee, Cookie Monster, Strawberry Short Cake, and more. Otherwise it’s select your flavor and DIY. They have three sizes. For individuals, the small has plenty of room for toppings and should be more than enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s $ 0.48 cents per ounce. It can get pricey if you go crazy with toppings. Parking isn’t the greatest here on Convoy, but luckily you can park in Jasmine Restaurant’s parking lot for up to two hours. I confirmed by asking the security guard and he told me it was okay to park there if you plan on visiting any business in the plaza. Get a stamp card and come on Mondays for«double stamp» day!

I LOVE Iceskimo. The store is super clean and the employees are super friendly. The owner of the place is always around and he’s very nice — always has recommendations and is welcoming. They have their regular flavors which range from original milk, to black sesame, and fruity flavors. They also have a «special» menu that showcases flavors like lemon mojito and oolong milk tea. As for me, I always get the oolong milk tea or original milk flavors. They are really light, which I like as it complements the toppings better. I tried the black sesame once and it has a nice, strong black sesame flavor which I would like but not as a shaved snow. The portions are not too pricey either. I can get a small(which is actually quite large) topped off with boba, almond jelly, and condensed milk(my favorites!!) for a little bit over $ 5. Super affordable and super tasty. It’s kind of cool watching the employees spin the blocks on the cutters. Honestly, thinking about this place makes me want to go back. –Sigh. if only San Diego weren’t so cold right now!

Always a positive experience here! My sister introduced me to this place approximately 6 months go and ever since then, I’ve been hooked! My ice cream go to is the Bruce Lychee and in addition I add my own twist to it and add on almond coconut jelly(it’s to die for)! It’s really cool seeing them shave the block of ice in front of you! This place has got me hooked!

What a great little spot and frozen yogurt alternative. You get the same craving fulfilled but get a little bit more of a unique cold treat. My favorite here is the original milk ice. They charge about .48 cents per oz which is pretty similar to most froyo spots. You get to either pick a creation of theirs, or make your own. The first time I stopped in, I got a popular pre made creation that wasn’t offered this time. I’m assuming they change it up frequently because they had a coffee option this time with panna cotta. Sounded amazing! Instead I went back to my favorite and added my own fruits and a couple different jellies with condensed milk of course. My only complaint is that it isn’t closer to home!

Iceskimo is definitely different. Just look at the pictures, it’s ice shavings! I’ve never had shavings before, so strange but it was delicious. I got black sesame ice with oreos, strawberries and condensed milk drizzle over the top. To be honest, you don’t need the condensed milk, it’s great without it. But who am I kidding, condensed milk makes everything better. I think what i got was called the cookie monster. The toppings they have remind me of yogurt lands selection. Open late too!

Heatwave… shaved snow?! YES, please! :) :) :) Within the last few days, I’ve been here three times. Yes, it is partly due to the current heat wave that we’re experiencing but it’s also because their shaved snow creations truly hit the spot! I absolutely love the options of shaved snow as well as toppings. So far, I’ve tried the Bubble Tea Deconstructed(oolong milk tea snow, honey boba, brown sugar syrup, condensed milk), Strawberry Shortcake(strawberry snow, fresh strawberries, mini cheesecake, condensed milk), and Matcha Coming Atchu(green tea snow, red bean, mini mochi, & condensed milk). Do you see the the theme with shaved snow and condensed milk? If they ask if you want more of the latter, always say yes! Thank you Iceskimo for providing such a delicious and much needed cool treat during this heatwave!

Iceskimo was inspired by Taiwanese shaved ice and is my new favorite spot for a nice cold treat. Once again Convoy gets all the best places! Imagine something between ice cream and shaved ice, or a hybrid of shaved ice and frozen yogurt… but numerous times better than that. It’s like eating a fluffy, cold, icy, delicious cloud! Gahhhhhhh I love it so much. I admit I was a bit overwhelmed once I walked in. Fret not n00bs, the ordering system is like your local froyo place. Pick your shaved snow base(heads up: if you order a small but you want to combine two flavors in a cup, it costs $ 1 more), pile on your desired toppings(boba, jellies, poppers, cheesecake bites, fruit, cookie dough, etc./the usual), and enjoy! Alternatively, you can opt for the pre-made combinations listed on the menu. For my first visit, I did exactly that. I choose the coconut paradise, but substituted the bananas for mango. It was fresh, delicious, and just the right amount of sweet. My mom ordered the daily special, something with a passion fruit shaved snow base which I found a tad too sweet for me. But the passion fruit is dairy free, so props for providing that dietary options Iceskimo! Overall, I’d definitely recommend a visit. I, for sure, will be going back. A bit after their opening hours(12pm) seems like the perfect time to go on a Saturday if you want to avoid the weekend wait. I hear the line can get long.

I’d nuzzle my nose with this refreshingly sweet treat anytime! Not only are you eating shave ice, it’s like devouring into sweet and creamy fluff topped with fruity or chocolately treasures. Looks like Iceskimo freezes blocks of ice with the flavors in them beforehand. Once a customer orders, they’ll take the flavored block of ice and put it on the ice shaver machine. The machine will shave the ice into the bowl. From there, the toppings of choice are placed in the bowl. This snow dessert is very similar to ‘Halo Halo’, a Filipino dessert. I got the Bruce Lychee which consist of Lychee snow, fig jelly, mango poppers and condensed milk. You can definitely taste the lychee flavor, and it brings me back great childhood memories eating lychees from a can. The fig jelly was interesting as it looks like clear blocks of jello. However, I didn’t taste fig though because the lychee overpowered the gelatin. Mango poppers are always a must because it’s fun to bite into those tiny juicy balls. The condensed milk helps develop that creamy fluffy experience. Overall, Bruce Lychee is super yummy and I highly recommend it if you love tropical fruity flavors. One ingredient that I would love to have added to their daily toppings would be the purple ube, but that’s just the Filipino in me talking as this is a Taiwanese snow dessert place. I love the name Iceskimo. It’s simple. It’s catchy. The logo is so cute and memorable. Excellent branding. This was my first experience with Iceskimo and I look forward to more when I’m in the area.

I have to come to love this place as i am a big fan of shaved ice. Its like eating a sweet fluffy cloud with different delicious flavors due to the toppings. The shaved ice in iceskimo is light with fluffy texture. There are different flavors to choose from and so far original and green tea has been my favorite. There are many different topping to spruce up your shaved ice. I usually get mochi, mangoes, almond jelly and, a new favorite, fig jelly. Put all that together with the shaved ice and its party in the mouth lol. There are 3 different sizes and i feel like their size small is already big and can be shared with one other. Price do range on weight but still overall inexpensive. Parking can be a nightmare as it is next to popular restaurant like Kula sushi and Jasmine’s so give yourself extra time if you are in a hurry. Customer service is excellent. They are always nice and helpful.

This is one of my two favorite shaved ice places in SD! Another being Boba Bar, which features Korean patbingsoo, Iceskimo’s ice contains more condensed milk and is in general more creamy. You can watch the staff shave your ice using the giant machine! For flavors, I always opt for coconut or black sesame — which are unique and very tasty. Their green tea ice is good too, and matched well with red bean and mochi. I hope they could do taro flavor some day! Then I can compare Boba Bar’s with theirs, haha~ Also this place is cheaper than Boba Bar’s. A large-size for around $ 5, which is a great deal. Will certainly come back more often in the hot days!
