Got both my daughters ears pierced here by Auriel and not only was she very good at the ear piercing she was also very great with my kids, Thanks Auriel!

I took my granddaughter to get her ears pierced (she is almost 5 yrs old).
Customer service was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
The young lady who did the piercing did an excellent job, explained everything
And the work area was clean.
I would recommend this store to anyone. And the young lady who took care of us,

So rude! Could not be bothered to explain their piercing process for infants. Too busy chatting and gossiping with a co-​worker! I will NOT be bringing my daughter here. If they can’t be professional in even giving prices I can’t trust they’d be professional & hygienic with my baby girl’s ears.

The customer service in this place was awful. I have never been into this store before. It’s not a place I would visit usually, but my friend wanted to see their belly Jewelry. While she was shopping, the sales associate asked her to take her items and keep them upfront, as if she was going to steal them. Then, she came over to watch us while we were looking at other items. Everyone there seemed to hate their job. I understand that this place is more geared to teenagers, maybe more prone to theft, but seriously… we’re working professionals of age. I will never go into this store or any Claire’s store EVER.

If you’re like me and you actually read reviews before modifying your body, do NOT get your ears pierced here by the big latina employee. I honestly don’t write many reviews, let alone negative ones, but this lady seriously needs to be let go. I think she hates her job and her life. It says here on my receipt that her name is LOLA. That being said, I have never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally by a piercer.
I understand that I walked in 30 minutes before closing. That was my bad, and I even asked if it was ok, if she was able to do it for me. She said yes, so I assumed she meant it. I guess not. I totally would have understood if she said no because I have a lot of serving experience and I know what it’s like when customers walk in when closing time is tight.
But after telling me YES, she threw a tantrum the entire process – slamming all the paperwork on the kiosk, throwing everything around as if she wanted to strangle me. I did my part to help speed the process– filled the paperwork quickly, chose the earrings fast, asked no questions, etc but I felt extremely uncomfortable having chosen to let her pierce my ears. I’m not even exaggerating – Several times during the process I thought she was about to throw something AT me or hit me. Honestly! I was so apalled that I just sat there, watching, being as polite as I possibly could to ease her temper. I don’t know if she was a racist or if she had to take a massive shit but I have never been so uninvited or walked out of a store in such a bad mood.
Oh, and my piercings are crooked even after I asked her TWICE (kindly, mind you) not to pierce it on my scars from previously.

worst experience ever! I went to the Claires at the Carlsbad mall and they did NOT have a good return policy and the lady gave me atitude when I brought what I payed for back. here is what happened. I went into claires and wanted to get some blue hair highlight spray paint can. When there, all but 2 cans had been opened up and used. So I asked the lady about it and she said, giggling, «Oh haha! People just take them and spray them around.» So I bought a can, and left. About 2 minutes later I took the seal off of the can and DIDNT spray anything. I read on the WARNINGS label that it said that it may permanently high light hair. Which I did NOT WANT! So i brought it back and the lady there said that it couldn’t be returned with the seal broken off, even though you could tell it hadn’t been used or else there would be blue paint on the sprayer like all the other ones that had been used. And she gave me atitude. DO NOT GO TO CLAIRES! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

I love icing. Shop there all the time. Was visiting San Diego and it was pouring rain so we decided to go to the mall and go shopping. We’ve never been to this location before so we decided to enter, seeing as how a girl can never have too many accessories.
They, as a company, always have great sales– buy one, get one half off. Buy 2, get one half off for other accessories. I usually give Icing as a company and store an overall 4 stars. But this location had terrible customer service! The manager asked us if we were finding everything ok after being in the store for 15 minutes.
And the cashier– the assistant manager– didn’t say a word to us at all. I understand you’re probably a college kid working on the weekend making $ 8 an hour. But you’re in customer service for goodness sakes. I then had a question after a while so I walked up to the assistant manager with curly hair, now standing at the front of the store talking to her friends. She saw me standing next to her, looking at her, and didn’t say a single word! Just kept chatting away. Even her friends looked at me and felt uncomfortable that she didn’t acknowledge me. I must have stood there for what was 2 minutes and just left my stuff on the table and walked out.
4 stars as an overall company. Knocked off 2 stars for the unimpressed service.

Meh. Just like every other commercialized Claire’s Store. Good in a pinch when you need some cheap earrings, rings, sun glasses, hair accessories, nail polish, head bands, pill boxes, bracelets, necklaces, hair color, and… anything else sparkly. If you are a 13 year old girl, OMG this will be your favorite store BTW.

I had some time to shop the other day so I made my way into this store. I didn’t know until I left 45 minutes later and with 4 pairs of earrings, why this store was that much different from the normal Claire’s stores at the mall. The knowledgeable and kind shop girl informed me that Icing is marketed to an older over age 12 audience, that’s me! That’s why I found stuff that I would actually wear that didn’t have Hannah Montana on it. If you are over 20, this is the store for you. They have a great selection and were having a buy one, get one half off sale. The prices were great! I got some really pretty earrings, not too blingy or heavy, for about 2 for $ 10 with the sale. It was also great listening to teenage girls getting their ears pierced for the first time since they do free piercings when you buy a pair of earrings, took me back a few years. Before you hit up Macy’s or Nordy’s for your next pair of earrings or special occasion pair, give Icing a try.
