Clean place the hookah is just perfect and the music is good !!!

I live around the area, so I have seen the place while driving, always looks empty. Decided to give it a try because I like good hookah. Was dissapointed. I don’t really think that the ambiance and décor are attractive to this community. Personally, I would come here if the theme was more elegant and relaxed, with the traditonal décor and music. Instead, it has like neon graffiti décor, cheesy lights and misogynist hip hop music. It might attract more of a HS age crowd. I would be back if it was classier. Good potential for success because there aren’t really any other hookah places around the area, but the ambiance just draws people away.

Fast service, friendly owners and a good ambiance with DJ. You get various flavors to pick from for your hookah.

Went to this lounge a while ago because it’s right across the street from me and I gotta say I was definitely impressed! They have great music and lighting and not to mention they dj. I’ve gone to a lot of lounges and this is for sure on the top of my list. go enjoy great sheesh and great times. You won’t be disappointed!

This place has some of the best hookah flavors, I like the safari melon dew with white peach. They also have DJ’s 4 nights a week, I believe on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Also their prices, quality and service is incomparable. They always offer you the best flavors and take care of you the whole night you are there. I would highly recommend!

Nicest hookah lounge in San Diego, we arrived on a Friday night around 10pm we didn’t wait much to be seated and got our order taken right away hookah is smooth and the dj was spinning good beats defiantly be back to Istanbul it’s a chill place

If you’re like my cousin, her girlfriend, and me and don’t like big crowds, then this is definitely the hookah lounge for you. Istanbul has a chill and relaxing environment. It’s a great place to meet up on weekdays to catch up with friends and families, and it’s a chill spot if you’re looking for something to do on the weekends. They have numerous comfortable, leather couches, an adequate amount of tables, and multiple flat screen TVs. They also have different DJs come in on the weekends. The two owners are very kind and friendly, and they constantly check up on us to change the coals or see if we need anything else. They have a great selection of flavors, their prices are right, and they do have beverages (non alcoholic). Again, this is a place to go to if you want to kick back and relax, keep that in mind.

Maaaaaaan! I hate giving lame reviews! I have been one of the regulars here since this place started. I come here during the weekends!!! For some reason, they forget about you once they are «famous.» I waited half an hour for my hookah. It has never happened before! They made us move to another couch even though I have sitting on the couch for 15 minutes. The owner made me move for these people who just arrived. The table wasn’t reserved AT ALL! I have been here SO MANY TIMES! This is the first time that they just treated my friends and I like second class citizens. That sucks. I used to like this place.

Very nice and chill hookah lounge. I don’t like loud playing music at hookah lounges because you can’t really talk to the people you are with. But they play at the right sound. Also hookah prices are good not pricy. I go a lot with my bf and usually get the same thing but the guy that works there (batu I believe is his name, very chill) told me to try something new and he mixed something up and it was pretty good.
Highly recommend anyone going and it’s pretty clean too! Hookah hits pretty good doesn’t burn out fast it’s just me and my bf so it last longer but if it was more than I still think it would last pretty long. Definitely recommend trying the chai and vanilla

Been here maybe 50 times, maybe 500 :) Don’t know exactly, but I know one thing, I love this place. If you are looking for a place where you can smoke a GREAT hookah, sit down, relax, this is the place to go. I drive there all the way from Orange County (96miles of driving.) My wife loves this place as well. So it is good to drive on weekends, smoke good hookah, drink Turkish tea. Will definitely recommend to all my friends! You guys are awesome.

I’ve came about three times already, the hookah hasn’t been hitting as smooth as it would before…

Nice place to sit and relax. Prices aren’t pricey. They’re pretty standard. They will even split the bill between two cards. Big thumbs up. Music wasn’t too loud and no creepy guys trying to get in on our Hookah sesh. Hookah was smooth, and they do refill the coals. But don’t expect the guy to come every 10 minutes. He only came once and we were there for 2 hours.

First time here. Not a bad deal, just don’t get tricked into the fruit bowl. Which, in my opinion isn’t worth it. It is a little pricey, but not by much. 15 $ standard and 21 for the fruit bowl. Atmosphere is amazing. Awesome place to just come and hang with a few friends. Combine the smell of hookah and couches and I’m sold. Plenty of room and not too loud. Music is upbeat and friendly. Its also very clean. Chill place.

I have been going to Istanbul for about two years now. Its SUPER close proximity to my house was the initial draw, but the comfy couches, friendly service, chill atmosphere and good hookah are what keep me coming back for more. Unlike a lot of other hookah bars in San Diego that I’ve tried, I can always find a place to sit here (major plus!) and the owners remember me and my friends are are nothing but super friendly every time we go. The hookahs last and the food is tasty too if you’re in the mood for something to eat. This place definitely stands out above the rest.

I have been there twice and there were hardly any people in there. Its too expensive for a mediocre hookah lounge. Dance music and disco lights are very ridiculous for the setting. The fruit bowl hookah was okay but i have experienced better.

I went there once with my friend, the place was empty, just me and my friend, so kind of boring place, The Hookah was good, but too expensive for a place like this, it was about $ 17, for a 10 pm Hooka, in a place has no one, they have to do at least a happy hour, so customers will come back to this empty place.
These three stars are just for the Hookah, because i did like it, not for the place.

So, I’ve frequent Instanbul since discovering this gem in North Park last summer. Can’t say I’ve been disappointed as I’ve come here to smoke many times since. By far a very comfortable, inviting, chill and fun place to catch up w/​your mind and smoke. Décor is unique w/​colorful lanterns hanging. Plenty of tables w/​games and HUGE leather couches flanked w/​pillows.
Hookah is good (they serve Starbuzz). A friend told me the hookahs are from Turkey so small head, big hose. But the important thing is hookah hits good (and if it didn’t Batu would re-​work it for you). One time the owner even came out and shared some popcorn w/​me on a quiet Tuesday night. Very cool vibe.
M & Tu are chill w/​Turkish music, while the rest of the week you get more dance mixes playing (both Turkish and English). Either way it’s my favorite to come here w/​my journal or laptop after a long day of work, laundry and crazy kids. And parking has been easy every time I’ve gone.
Wish they had Starbuzz flavor in Double Apple. :)

i waver on 3 or 4 stars for this place but im more ‘eh.’ about it.
randomly came on sat. evening… place was pretty dead (2 other groups there the entire time). something about a fairly empty room with blasting club music always feels odd. otherwise, the space is dimly lit and well ikea-​decorated. the couches and chairs are quite comfy and everything is spread out between the tables.
1 hookah order, 3 bottled waters…$ 26.40. not a great deal but also not outrageous for a few hours of enjoyment on the weekend. the hookahs are nice and high quality. as is the shisha. there are lots of board and card games to entertain yourselves with. i rocked winning uno repeatedly!
dont serve alcohol… if they got a liquor license, at least simply for bottled beer, it would be nicer.
my main complaint is given the activity is sitting around chatting with people and smoking [without alcohol], the über loud obnoxious rap music (and some electronica) just seems out of place. i didnt really enjoy that. seems like its trying so hard to be cool. i am a sucker for laser lights tho…
staff is pretty non-​existent imo. other than taking my money and carrying over the hookah, they were completely dead space the rest of the evening.

I went in and bought a hookah with a friend there and it is an amazing Turkish Hookah. The owners were so helpful and even offered to clean it if we needed it every once in a while (for free).
They answered all questions and the price was seriously a steal. It is refreshing to meet small business owners like this! I would definitely go in there again and support them.
