Horribly unfriendly place. Was two minutes late to my taste test even tho I was really on time but it took me 5 mins to find the side door u have to enter and they denied me entry into the taste test and did not pay me a cent. I drove all the way from Oceanside for this taste test and no where in the email does it say if ur late u will not get paid and will not be aloud to enter it just recommends that u come early but I got there as soon as I could.

Who can say no to $ 35 to taste free food? I know I didn’t. So first of all this place is a Research Center for new upcoming food items from Jack in the Box, to qualify you have to answer a survey located on Facebook for«Insight Focus», after that you will get an email with instruction on different dates and hours for you to come by. if you come in 15 min early you will be entered in a drawing for more cash, it varies from time to time, could be an additional $ 50 or $ 35. Plenty of parking at this corporate taste facility, and the employees make it a simple and easy process. After you’re done with the taste test you walk out, sign your name and get your cash. Simple. The place is clean. Overall, I’m a fan of getting payed to eat food… Enjoy…

$ 35 for a taste test, and lunch to boot? Score! So… I was tipped to this in a Unilocal Talk thread, and as I was on vacation, I actually had the time to do one of Jack in the Box’s taste tests. Here’s how it works: the staff gives you an item(in this case, a new chicken sandwich concept), you take a few bites or finish the sandwich, then you put your thoughts on what you tried down on the computer in front of you. I was kinda bummed, as I was expecting a full meal, not just the sandwich. You do get a glass of water and some crackers, but those are used to cleanse the palate before and during your taste test. Still, not a bad way to spend the time and earn $ 35 in the process. Hope to do more of these in the future.

I wasn’t expecting a real Innovation center of course. This was for a taste testing of JIB newer item in the menu, the egg roll. I know going into the Taste test that it would be eggrolls and I have already tasted it before so no loss. Here is the short review version for the Innovation Center. Plus — Free Dinner Plus — Paid to Taste Free Dinner Plus — Dinner not too Bad(4 egg rolls) Plus — Parking plentiful Minus — 4:30 pm start, told to be there early but still didn’t start until 4:30 Minus — Is it worth it for X amount of dollars for your time? Not exactly Minus — Who does taste tests anymore? Minus — Felt like a Whore but knew I was a Genius. I don’t know if I will get invited again after this review but still that pocket money wasn’t used to buy Pepto Bismol because the food was not bad.

Jack in the Box is based in San Diego and is a restaurant company that operates and franchises Jack in the Box® restaurants, one of the nation’s largest hamburger chains, with more than 2,200 restaurants in 18 states. They are a very popular fast-food restaurant and ubiquitous too. In 2004, Jack in the Box opened its 70,000-square-foot Innovation Center right next to the company’s corporate offices in San Diego. This state-of-the-art facility united marketing, R&D and other departments key in developing new and innovative foods and beverages. Along with providing office spaces, the Innovation Center includes test kitchens, labs, consumer research rooms, a photography studio and a video production area. Today I went here and did a taste test and computerized response for a company product. Everything went smoothly and professionally and best of all-I got paid to eat! FREEFOOD! MONEYTOO! There is no doubt-THAT is ALWAYS good for a 5 UnilocalSTAR review!
