Cute shack, very limited outside seating, not a good place to chill and enjoy the ambience, but they have breakfast pastries, sodas, waters, chips, so light sneak, no actual meals.

Fantastic coffee shop, great service and always make the perfect drink. The lady working there is very nice and quick at making your drinks. Definitely just a shack but you can pull up to the window in your car if you want.

I finally found a great coffee shack by my workplace. I feel like it’s still a dream… lol! Seriously though, if you went to San Diego State you might know about Peabody’s Coffee Stand and their coffee is real flavorful and strong. If that’s what you want this Java Shack at Sorrento valley rd is the go to place. They also have extra large cups for my iced latte or iced drinks in general. This lady barista is very nice and down to earth and makes it just right (not too sweet and not to strong). I highly recommend this place!

The Java shack is just the cutest little thing in Sorrento Valley. Very local for all business centers in the area which is one of the reasons why I choose to support the Java Shack. There’s a walk up and drive thru which is convenient as well. I love coffee drive thrus.
The woman who runs the business is the sweetest woman, but it takes her a while to make so if you’re ordering more than one drink make sure you’ve got about 15 minutes to spare. Drinks are overpriced yet delicious which is why I keep coming back! I’d kick it up to 5 stars if the drinks were more reasonably priced. I paid $ 5.50 for an Iced Milky Way Latte! So yummy but it adds up for sure.

Java Shack, Coffee House, Pizza Hut, Candy Apple… wait — what?
Decent coffee and prompt, friendly service from this tiny little coffee house with limited hours (I think they close at two).

I have to agree with the other reviewer: Support a Your Local Coffee Shack! Very friendly service and one of the tastiest Mochas that I’ve had in a long time. It’s a little hard to find — really caters to the businesses that are on Sorrento Valley Rd. But definitely worth the stop if you need that morning or afternoon boost. It’s right next to the little flower shop!

We stop by this place almost every other week… I love the hot chocolate here!!! Yummmm they can add coffee into your hot chocolate if you want.
The hot chocolate malt and the Milky Way are my favorites! The coffee also has the perfect bitterness for me.
I would definitely recommend this local coffee shop to everyone :)
