I usually lighten my hair up for the summer by myself but that usually leaves my hair feeling damaged and dry. To avoid this I decided to have it done professionally. I spoke to Tiffany and she was able to help me achieve my #hairgoals without the damage. I now have natural highlights but also have soft healthy feeling/​looking hair and I love it! Thanks Tiffany!

This shop is so so wonderful! From the look, to the music, to all the awesome stylist around. I had appointment with Bernadette for a cut and a fix to my previous Balayage! I was super nervous to do anything crazy to my hair but oh my gosh I’m in love with it! Bernadette is SO sweet and made me feel so at ease through the whole process, not to mention she did a BAD ASS job!!!

First haircut in a year and first time balayage. Was nervous about dying my hair, since the last time I did was 10 years ago. But Genevieve was very consciousness of my hair and it’s needs.
Came out just like I wanted! Beautiful!

Just got my hair done at Jeslin, I don’t know why I try to go anywhere else, they are the best! I’ve had my hair done several times here, each with a different stylist and every time has been fantastic. Today I wanted to get a very subtle kind of ombré after having a stylist at a different salon put very stark and stripe-​y blonde highlights in my hair all the way to the roots, NOT what I wanted at all. Bernadette took the extra time to be careful and fixed the highlights and gave me EXACTLY what I had wanted to begin with. I’m much happier after having come back here and now I love my hair. Thanks again Bernadette, you’re the best! I’ve come here many times and had my hair cut, colored, and styled for my wedding a couple years ago here and it’s always perfect and just what I want, I highly recommend this salon and I’m a very picky customer lol.

I have been going to Genevieve for years now and have no plans of going anywhere else as long as I am in San Diego. I have come to her for my highlights and balayage time and time again. She is extremely thorough and attentive. She cares about what you have to say and always delivers. I have been to many different salons and Jeslin is the best! I always leave happy and always get questions about who my stylist is. You are in great hands with her!

Wanted to share how great a job Genevieve did, my first time visiting Jeslin. Not only did she really care about what I wanted, she gave ideas and also had a perfect way of being helpful but not overbearing. I think it is best highlight I have had in years, and it was here first time working with my hair. I also loved the casual atmosphere, next time I have to check out the boutique area. All the staff were laid back and seemed sincere and helpful. Hope Genevieve is there to stay, finally found my person and new salon close to home too!

I can’t begin to describe the AMAZING first hair experience I had here. First, I had my service done by Tiffany (who is so adorable and realistic about the color and how my hair will take it) and I absolutely LOVE it!
We decided on a parcial highlights. The entire process (to get a rid of the ‘orangeness’ from a previous bad coloring experience at another salon) and styling too about 2 hours! I was so surprised!
In the end, the entire experience and end result is completly worth! My hair has never looked better!!!

Ok so this is my second visit to Jeslin… The last time I came in and got a cut/​style with Bernadette — and she did a tremendous job… So this time I came back to get some highlights.
I don’t know much about «highlight technology» but Bernadette does. I wasn’t sure how light I wanted — so we went through one run and I realized hey… I want it lighter haha — so Bernadette actually hand «painted» the areas that were too dark.
Basically if ur a guy and you want to do something cool with you lt hair come here… Ask for Bernadette or set up an appointment… I always would just get hair cuts at regular joints or barbers — but here I feel like they are hair experts that know what they are doing.
Also you can park at the Ramada just up the street if ur coming here… So you don’t have to worry about parking right by the place… It’s about less than a block away.
Very clean studio, a lot of light, and has a very open feel… Off Rosecrans so easy to get to as well.
This is my new hair spot as I embark on my journey of growing my hair out!!!

Getting color right every time for a natural look on a low maintenance gal like me tends to be difficult. It wasn’t that I had terrible experiences before, I just didn’t have a goto that perfected my (maybe vague) requests when I moved to San Diego. I don’t like a lot of upkeep, I usually don’t dry/​barely brush/don’t really fix my hair and I only get my hair cut/​color done about twice a year, and I’m not that picky/​specific with my color requests — so at the 6 month mark I usually just try someone new bc why not. However something about Genevieve’s balayage technique and understanding what would work for my lifestyle/​my hair type has kept me coming back the last three or four times (lost count) … Love how the color still stays natural looking as it grows out and moreso mainly need a healthy trim if I were to skip the color refresh. My last appt was last week and just posted a pic — thanks Genevieve! See ya in 6 months :)

Amazing salon! I was desperate to find a place to get my mom a haircut. It was a last minute late birthday surprise. All other places were either booked or (since it was late) I was not able to book online. It’s online Unilocal booking is great. The clothes in the boutique are super cute and I wish I had more money to be able to buy more. Overall great atmosphere, great customer service and great stylist. Will def return for my own cut!

Jessica has been my stylist for years and I can confidently say that I have never have had even a slightly bad experience with my hair cuts. In fact, I live in Encinitas and drive all the way to Point Loma to get the awesome experience that Jeslin provides every time I go in — a great hair cut and lots of laughs!

Tiffany was my stylist and she did an amazing job! I called right at the end of the day before closing and she slipped me in no problem! She listened to what I wanted and worked with me and my hair to create the look I had in mind. I have curly hair and she did an fantastic job with it (which isn’t always easy). Thank you Tiffany!

This was my first visit ever and will not be my last. I loved Amanda she was amazing and friendly and a jewel. She has a new client !! The salon looks like Shabby Chic, so great. Loved my overall experience

Genevieve was great! She completely understood what I was looking for and everyone at the salon was very friendly! I got there a bit early and was offered water or a glass of wine (no brainer). Genevieve took her time with me, she cut my hair wet and perfected it after she blow-​dried it. She also taught me how to curl my hair with a flat iron and curling iron to get that wavy look! Overall I’m very satisfied and I’m definitely coming back here!

In love with my new cut and color! Came in with long dead bleached out hair and Genevieve worked magic! I love my new look it’s super fun and healthier looking. I will definitely be back.

This place is super cute and stylish and Alisa is an amazing hairstylist! Alisa had been cutting/​styling my hair for years in Carmel but unfortunately moved to San Diego and I’ve not since been able to find someone who has the skill set she has. However now I have a great excuse to go to San Diego and visit this cute salon. If you need a new stylist I highly recommend Alisa she will listen to what you want and you won’t be disappointed!

I love Jeslin! Shannon has cut/​highlighted my hair several times & I always leave there so happy! Wonderful laid back salon with 5 star results every time. I’ll be going back as long as I’m in San Diego :)

The stylist I was sort of regularly seeing left this salon so I decided to try a different stylist instead of a different salon. I decided to book with Alisa Lyons. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly late for my first appointment due to traffic delays. Alisa was very understanding and stayed after the salon was technically closed for me. Despite me being late, she didn’t rush (or make me feel bad), and took great care of my highlights, shampoo, cut and style. She’s friendly, easy to talk with, and has 10+ years of experience! I would definitely recommend Jeslin and Alisa for your next cut! Be sure to ask for Alisa Lyons (blond) when you book your appointment because there’s an Alyssa that works there too.
This place also has the cutest little boutique with fun accessories and clothes, and offers 20% your first visit (for hair care)! They also offer beer, wine, and tea for customers.
Bonus: free bang trims in between haircuts!
