Joanne’s Skin Care

I have been going to Joanne now for over seven months, and I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed her yet! She was such a blessing for me on many occasions, but especially in preparing for my wedding day. I wanted to have beautiful skin, and she made that happen. She not only created an anti-​aging facial regimen for me, but also gave me the most gorgeous natural-​looking organic spray tan for my wedding. She also waxed and shaped my eyebrows, which I am usually nervous about because of a scar I have up there. After she was done, I couldn’t even notice the scar and I felt like a movie star. (Many people even told me that on my wedding day).
Joanne also knows skin on a scientific level, and is constantly keeping up with new developments in anti-​aging skincare. I know I am in good hands whenever I go to see her.

Joanne has been my go-​to for skin problems (facials, peels, extractions), up-​keep (brow waxing, brow shaping, Brazilians) and when I’m in need of extra glam (organic airbrush tanning) for important events for over 2 years now. She’s a perfectionist and definitely knows the science behind all skin issues. She’s extremely knowledgeable in skin products and my guru for make-​up questions to prevent clogged pores. I’ve received several compliments on my skin all thanks to her.
I can’t say enough about the wonderful services I’ve had with her. Hands down THE best esthetician.

Joanne is awesome! I do not want to go to anyone else after having her take care of me! She is really great at what she does and did a wonderful job on my eyebrows. She spends time and effort on you to make sure she does a great job and she truly does do a great job. I recently had her do my eyebrows and I have never had that good of a wax. I’ve also seen her for a Brazilian and she did a wonderful job with that too. Joanne makes you feel very comfortable and she is so sweet and professional. You will never leave an appointment feeling disappointed!

Over the summer I was visiting San Diego and on a fluke, I found Joanne and went in for a facial/​peel. I have had facials for over 20 years and can’t believe the results I got in just one session. I didn’t know what peel to ask for, but Joanne knew just what to use. I trusted her instantly and I’m so glad I found her.
I live in Las Vegas but have decided I need to work facials from Joanne into my life. Since I was a visitor, she really could have taken advantage of me but she didn’t. I love the products she used and the one serum I bought from her.
I highly recommend Joanne. She is result orientated.

I’ve come out of Unilocal!retirement to write a review of Joanne. She’s of Beauty & Body Lounge fame. Many of the ladies at B&BL have done my waxing. Once I met Joanne, I’ve stuck with her for years! She left B&BL to go out on her own. I followed. Recently, we’ve started a skincare routine. My skin has never looked better! I get compliments all the time! People have told me I look younger and that my skin is «flawless». All thanks to Joanne. She is a professional. She’s a perfectionist. She’s an educator. She genuinely cares for her clients.

Joanne has literally changed my life. Cliché, I know, but it’s true. I have battled horrible acne for over 13 years and have been on every pill, over the counter cream, prescription cream, and product out there including Proactive and Accutane. I had just finished 6 months on the accutane when I met Joanne. I was skeptical and told her so. She never EVER pushed any products on me and said that we would do little baby peals. The peals were so gentle from day one and I never had peeling after or redness. TWO months later and I have not had one break out and we are now working on the years of scarring (which is now so minimal). I’m now begging her for any product she recommends and am happy with it all. I can’t say enough good things about Joanne.

If you are looking to have great skin, Joanne, is the best woman in San Diego to make your skin glow! I have been going to Joanne for 2 years and absolutely ecstatic about the outcome of my skin. Before I went to Joanne I would try the coupons for Brazilian waxes from the mailers/​groupons and had a lot of terrible experiences. Just because someone advertises a great price and a 15 minute Brazilian it doesn’t mean they know what they are doing. I got so many ingrown hairs from bad technique and the hair seemed to grow back so quickly. Then I started going to Joanne. What a huge difference she took the time on my sensitive skin to ensure the hair was all gone and made sure I wouldn’t get any ingrown hairs.
Then after a year of going to Joanne, I decided to treat myself and get a facial. The best thing about it Joanne is she never pressured me or told me that my skin needed it. Because I had been going to her for so long she already knew what my skin exactly needed. I got a facial and a peel and my skin has never been so soft and glowing. I of course am now hooked and extremely happy with the results of my skin care. Thanks Joanne!

I have had a few spray tans in the past, both from a booth and the more personalized spray tan. I was always disappointed by the way the tan faded after only a few days. I was pleasantly surprised when I had my first spray tan from Joanne. She takes care and precision in each movement of the air brush. She was even kind enough to give me painted-​on abs! I will go back to Joanne in the future and probably try some of the other services she provides.

Although she specializes in skin care and is a phenomenal esthetician, I have been going to Joanne for over 3 years for Brazilian waxing. She does BY FAR the best wax job that I have ever had! She is so good and thorough that I go exclusively to Joanne even though I live in Washington state. Every time I come down to San Diego she is super flexible and finds a way to fit me in.
If it sounds like I’m raving, its because I am! I would recommend any of her services to anyone who wants a great job done by a consummate professional.
