«Going out of business» signs have been there a while. Check this place out if you’re into handmade imported Chinese Furniture.
Prices aren’t dramatically reduced. They have those price cards that have the original price — slashed out, another lower price slashed out, and the actual selling price. You see this at used car dealerships. Hard to tell what the true selling price was. Were the prices jacked way up, and this sale price is phony? Hopefully you have more experience in these furnishings than I do. You better hurry though, the clock is apparently ticking.
I like the Big Traditional Chinese Chairs.

I stumbled into this store a week before Christmas with nothing to show for gifts and the guy at the counter helped me pick out gifts for everyone on my list. Unfortunately, I did not catch his name, so I am posting here because I would like to thank him personally. I don’t know when the previous reviewer came into Journey East, but I was very satisfied with the service I received. The best part about this store is that it is in Hillcrest but has many reasonably priced small items in addition to an beautiful selection of huge, unique Chinese antique furniture. It has something for everyone, from the weekend shopper to the professional designer. Thanks Journey East! I will definitely be back.
