There’s a photo of this place taken March 11th2014, with a big STORECLOSING sign on it. This store is still open, with a big STORECLOSING sign on it. That’s pretty shady! I asked when they are closing, and the woman at the counter said«in two weeks» Nearly fraud.

Other than the painted mural outside the lateral façade of this store and the cute factor of being an old Little Italy house that already qualifies as vintage, I did not like anything there. That is tough for me to say, because I am usually one of those people that get excited with anything and always find a excuse to get a little something for someone or myself. All the items looked to be like a spin off of Salvation Army, big lamps, many lamps, all types of lamps. All super cluttered and disorganized. Many old fashioned items and also still selling Christmas decorations. I wasn’t sure if I was at a gift shop or at a second hand shop. They put an ad outside that store is closing and they are having big sales. Not sure if that is a trick to sell more and is actually not closing.

Juniper is an amazing store filled with amazing items for all walks of life. The owner, Brook, is always so helpful and full of great ideas for gifts. This place is a must visit and shop location in beautiful Little Italy! I will say, if you see something you like, GETIT! There is always new and unique product coming in. I have been shopping at Juniper since she opened; over 12 years ago.

I’ve been shopping at Juniper for the last 10 years or so. It’s a super quaint little store… I can almost always find something interesting when I’m looking for a unique gift for all kinds of occasions. I’ve found some great placemats, candles, pillows, business card holders… and the list goes on. I don’t live in San Diego anymore, sadly, but I will be coming down for a day visit with the sole intention of doing some shopping at Juniper. Wish there was Juniper in Orange County!!!

Do you have a friend who’s a bit more upper-crest then the rest and who let’s be honest has everything? Well then, stop by Juniper and get him or her some random little knick knack, that you probably wouldn’t find anywhere else & they’ll be sure to love it!

Juniper is a great place to find unique items for your home. There is a great selection of candles and frames. The two smaller rooms in the back have a specific theme — one is Asian and one is doggie heaven. They also have interesting handbags and jewelry.

Juniper is a really cute and convenient home décor boutique if you happen to live nearby, as it encompasses everything home décor you could be interested in. Not being a Little Italy local, however, I don’t see the point in me going twice to this store, as again it doesn’t set itself apart with a certain specificity. I do appreciate the mixture of qualitative lines in all home décor departments they unite in this cute boutique cottage, but its general aspect also makes it a wee bit obsolete to a non local.
