Been eating here for 13 years. That’s quite a testament that what doesn’t kill ya will make you stronger. Breakfast is the best, hands down. Probably helps that the place is just opening and its still clean and organized Lots of variety. The breakfast samiches are da bomb– made to order. Lunch is okay too. Dinner sucks. The place looks tired– like I do. Food is looking dry and unimagined– it’s like they don’t even try to keep it lookin fresh. The salad bar is wilted and tired too. «Late Night» REALLY bites– lucky if they have any hot food. Salad«bar» is shrunken to practically lettuce, toms and onions. Sad they treat us nite shifters as second class citizens by serving second class food.

Pretty decent for a hospital café. It’s buffet style with a good rotating menu, nice salad bar and coffee machine. I like to order pancakes from the grill for breakfast and hamburger’s for lunch. Yum!

As far as hospital food goes, Leaf n Ladle does pretty good most of the time. Good prices and friendly staff. My favs would def. be the Oatmeal bar in the morning or if they have biscuits and gravy I’m down for that. Good Salad bar with lots of choices including protein such as ham, turkey or chicken. So if you happen to be at Scripps Mercy Hospital visiting someone and need some food in your tummy try Leaf n Ladle on the 1st floor
