I work in the area and decided to check out this little deli /convenience store. Low and behold they had adobo! Pretty sure this is the only place in down town to have Filipino food. It was great. Of course, they also have all the typical convenience store stuff, and the woman behind the counter was friendly.

Located RIGHT next door to the Downtown San Diego MOTEL6, this little gem has all you would want for a quick and easy convenience store if you forgot your toothpaste and want to spend $ 1.00 to purchase a regular sized candy bar. **CASHONLY** However, they also feature this nice little mini-deli. No threat to Carnegie deli, but you can get a nice lil sandwich for $ 5.50, $ 5.95 with tax. You can also get a breakfast sandwich for $ 2.50 starting at 6AM when they, God bless them, open in the morning. Two tables seating both inside and outside. They go out and clean the sidewalk during the day(damn you pigeons of San Diego! lol). Sweet people. Nice little surprise. ================ Well, they completely lied to me. No, they do NOT open @ 6AM. Every time I stopped by in the morning early, 6, 7AM +, they weren’t open. It might have been a family issue for all I know.
