LF has definitely changed for the better since new management has taken over. I like that there’s a still a great selection of essential surf gear and their own line of gear is way better than their old designs. Shout out to Matt for supporting EWBSDSU’s Annual Fundraiser!

It’s sad to see the store shrunk down to 1⁄3 of the building, but the new men’s shirts are amazing. Super soft, great designs, and reasonable price. Glad to see the business still around and I hope they expand their online offerings.

It’s cool to have a local low key surf shop still left in San Diego! If you don’t want the same name brand stuff that everyone else has they have some unique stuff here. The LF gear has came along way as well and is priced right!!! Cheap sup and surfboard rentals too!

Matt and the team here are super nice. Great selection of Reef sandles and Carve sunglasses, not to mention my favorite local brand– Freeligous. I’m planning on returning soon to check out their new gear and get my hands on one of those new Go Pros!

We just returned from a wonderful vacation staying on Mission Beach. Last Sunday my son got to talking with some kids on the beach, they told him that he could try their surf board if he wanted to. He took right to it & was hooked! Wanted to spend the rest of the week learning to surf! Turns out, these kids were the owners kids/nephew of Liquid Foundation Surf Shop. Next day we went to the shop to rent surf boards for the week. The owner set up our boys with 2 boards perfect for their size/ability. He also lent my son a wet suit. No hard sell from him, in fact, he ended up giving us a great deal(my son & his nephew hung out on the beach all week long together!). Thanks so much for great customer service and your kindness! Because of you & your kids… my son is hooked on surfing! We’ll be back & will recommend your shop to EVERYONE we know!

Well this is sort of a «hard core» surf shop with a ton of tattooed guy hanging around on the sidewalk outside. I found that the time I went there dressed in my weekend dirty clothes, I was helped readily. I stopped by after work one day and was in a suit/tie. I felt out of place, was stared at, never got an offer of help and actually felt a bit intimidated even entering the shop through the«gauntlet» of «Mission Beach’s Finest». I will stick to more mainstream shops in the future.

My friend suggested I stop by to see if they could sell my board. Manager was honest and said I had a collector board that might sit in his shop. He gave me tips on how to clean it up and sell it. This is one of the few family owned shops in Mission Beach. Picked up boardies and wax remover while in. I love independent shops and appeciate his honesty about my board.

I have been coming to this shop since I was a lil’ GROM. I have experienced a lot of different surf shops over the years(depending on the area I lived at the time). I find myself coming back to L.F. every time and driving a bit further just to give them my business! The Staff(Todd and Shokie) have been like family and are not there to make tons of money but to help you find your true passion and love for surfing! They have created a true«Family» atmosphere and have the best prices in town! Boards, wetsuits and Sk8’s. Anything you can possibly need? Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I love this place now! The owner totally gave me the«cuzzin» discount! that knocked off something like 10 bucks! Thats like 18 tacos from Jack in the Box! haha! I really like the selection and the knowledgeable staff pluss everyone who came in felt like they were connected and family.

The guys that work here are super chill n. Got a deal on a new board here this past winter! I guess a local shaper Ben Milano knocked the prices down on a few of his boards in the shop and a snagged one. I actually bought my electric sunglasses here a few years ago too! Nice guys definitely stop by and check these guys out if your driving through mission beach. Ya never know what you might find for a deal.
