I’m giving one star because it isn’t an option to leave half a star

The lady behind the counter is extremely rude and arrogant. E ven after complimenting on how nice the store was looking, she seems to dislike me and theres always difficulties finding the item pawned and even an Inquiry. Who hired her? Bob get rid of her she has no customer service skills and seems to think shes royalty or some shit. Ocean Beach people like nice peeps she needs to go to new york city, theyd love to hate her there. The owner Bob has sold me a not authentic watch before and ive purchased an item that was very used then looked it up and the new price of it when it was new is what he sold it to me for. I thought we had kind of a friendship ive been spending money in there for 13 years. Oh I was wrong I trusted him enough to not look up binoculars, well I did after paying $ 200. Found on internet 199.95 was retail new price. He sold them for new price! Noteven cool! Bill was the coolest there. U just came at him wrong or something. He was very core street. Good dude though! The lady that I assume is african by her obvious color and extensive jewelry she wears is not helpful I turn and walk out now immediately. I wont be shopping or pawning anything there again.

the store opened 20 minutes late waiting kinda sucked. Skate/​surf gear is way overpriced seems as if they have no idea how to list prices for such items. Used very old model sector nine longboards for more money then sector nine sells them for. He had a GF Hurley longboard deck with a price tag of $ 115.00 that was basically just a piece of wood stained nicely no concave very basic shape.
I was riding a nearly new gravity downhill skateboard deck that had a complex concave, shape, with an incredible rasta lion graphic stained beautifully ($ 115 new) complete with percision trucks ($ 200) new and 77 mm wheels ($ 60.00 new) only used on the skate over to the pawn shop.
I asked him how much he would give me for that if i were to pawn it and he offered me $ 20.00.
Kind felt offended knowing he took someones complete sector 9 longboard gave them $ 20 then lists the price for it at $ 145.00. When the company that makes that board sells that style for cheaper and has stopped making that graphic 10 years ago haha. Started looking around at other prices and felt like i would be ripped off if i bought anything from there WAY overpriced for a pawn shop…
Joke of a pawn shop. Whatever your interested in you would be way better off just going to the store and buying it new then giving this place any of your money.

I entered the store and happened to sneeze (sometimes I sneeze). It seemed a little dusty. I covered my mouth with my shirt, because I think it’s gross to cover your sneeze with your hands. The female behind the counter shouts at me «cover your mouth». Not a hello or bless you. I was surprised by her remark. She said something along the lines of no one wants to catch what you have. I responded with «I think I am allergic to shitty customer service» and left the store. Horrible customer service and I am not surprised the store was empty. I could tell she was not the owner as she just sat there in her chair looking lost.
Or if you are in the store and are about to sneeze leave!!! Or you might get the death penalty. Haha

I was hit with a large car repair bill and just didn’t have the money to cover the estimated charge. I needed my car for work. The gentleman at the pawnshop in OB was polite and fair. He understood my predicament and gave me several options which were quite reasonable in costs. The 4 month loan gave me plenty of time to repay and the interest on five hundred dollars was only about $ 40.00! Not bad for a quick, no hassle infusion of some desperately needed cash. Hope I don’t get into a tight situation again — but if it happens — the Loanranger is the way to go. I recommend them highly!

I was instantly greeted by Mertus and Bob as I walked into The Loan Ranger Pawn Shop. This was my first time pawning but when life hands you lemons… you know the rest. ;) Both were very professional and had wonderful personalities (not to mention taste in music) that made the process a smooth transaction. Bob was knowledgable, answered all my questions, and I felt a very fair deal was made with the merchandise I brought in for cash. Times are tough but this experience of great customer service instantly reminded me that the only wealth that truly matters is the genuine human connection. From a consumer standpoint, there seems to be a great collection of jewelry, electronics, instruments, etc. at The Loan Ranger Pawn Shop… and the name is quite catchy. Thanks guys! :D
