Literally the worst gel mani ever. Tacky 50s diner music playing in the background. No tvs or anything even remotely aesthetically pleasing. She wouldn’t file my nails down before she painted them because she was worried she would paint on the skin. So AFTER painting them she goes in with clippers… So literally no shaping and they’re all jaggedy at the ends. Not to mention it was $ 30. Go to polish pros it’s cheaper and not even comparable to this place

Worst pedicure/​callous remover I have ever had in my life. Sliced my toe open and left skin hanging off my heel all jagged. Leaving the salon with band aids wrapped around my big toe was just awful.

Best foot massage of my pedicure-​getting life. The owner — the gentleman — took care of me, and my pregnant feet appreciated it!

This is one special place. Cindy and Michael are warm and friendly. They both do excellent work. Cindy is the hand specialist. While Michael concentrates on pedicures and waxing. I haven’t been in a while but when I go by on my way to Barons Cindy or Michael always come say hi and talk for a bit. I even took my fussy daughter there and she was pleased.

Cindy is the best! i have the worlds worst cuticles and whenever i get my acrylics filled she always fixes them and never charges me. I make sure to call before going in to make sure they have time because i know its just her and her husband. She always does such a great job.

Cindy did a great job on my nails. Originally I had wanted a very specific sparkly red shellac that I wasn’t even sure existed… And it didn’t. But Cindy helped me achieve the look I was going for by doing one coat each of 2 polishes to get the perfect cool red shade with red sparkles on top. I just had a polish change so it wasn’t that long of an appt. I messed up one nail being over-​eager to get my phone out of my purse and usually I feel like I get attitude or a scolding but Cindy was really nice about it. Whipped out the little painters brush with polish remover to smooth it out and give it a fresh paint. I am really happy with my nails! And it’s right next to where my Grandma gets her hair done so I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in San Diego!

Love this place! A small place with a fantastic couple, Cindy & Michael. Michael is amazing with eyebrows, I won’t go anywhere else now. No pressure, like other places. Cindy does shellac nails and acrylic. Never any pressure for stuff I don’t need. Always ask about my family. Always walk out feeling good. Very reasonable pricing. Again, Michael is amazing with eyebrows. They took great of me and my maid of honor for my wedding.

My mom, sister and I decided to do a family bonding time by getting our toes done. We were visiting in San Diego so we weren’t sure where to go. I ended up Unilocaling this place and we gave it a go. Walking into this Nail shop, it was very clean, the lady who did my toes and my mom’s toes was very nice, she spoke good english and good vietnamese. So that was a plus plus. Her husband did my sisters toes and waxed her eyebrows. Which I thought was pretty cool that they went into the same trade together and he did a great job. They both are such sweet individuals. We will def come back.

This lady was so sweet and did a great job fixing my French pedicure which had been chipped. She refused to let me pay for it and was quick and did quality work.

Tried really hard to like this place. I really want to support a mom-​and-​pop operation. Brought my friend who is visiting from London to London nail salon. First the nail polish selection is so limited. As one reviewer said, don’t come here for the latest nail trends. Spot on. My Spa Pedicure lasted 20 minutes. The massage consisted of rubbing some lotion on my legs. Just not a good job. There was no one there getting work, we are potentially new clients so why the rush? I’d love to come back because it’s close to my house. But I don’t think I will simply because the work was so amateur.

I was visiting San Diego from Pa and I needed an emergency nail fix! I found them on Unilocal and called for an early morning appt. I was greeted nicely and told to come right in. The work was impeccable and they treated me like a «regular» who would be coming back! I highly recommend this husband and wife team who understand true customer service! I will be back if I ever pass this way again!

The people were nice, but I wasn’t overly impressed with their work. I’ve definitely had better mani and pedis. Also, the guy who did my mani left a ton of cuticle on my nails. It just looked sloppy.

This place was okay. The chairs were comfortable and it seemed more or less clean. I called on a Monday, and they said they could get me in 10 minutes for a pedicure. I really wish that she would have told me to come at a time when she wasn’t expecting other appointments, I could have waited.
The service provider was friendly, and she did an okay job. The three stars was because I felt like she was rushing through my whole appointment. It took less than 25 minutes for her to do my pedicure, and I was really looking forward to a relaxing experience.
My toes looked good, however, I had to pumice my own feet later that day, she did a VERY quick job on my cuticles, and there was nothing «spa» about the pedicure, which was disappointing.

Cindy and Michael run a great little shop. They’re the only 2 working, so it can get a little backed up, but they really treat you well and give you an individualized experience.
I could tell from just being there the short time I was that they both have so many regulars that care about them and their work. Apparently Cindy hadn’t been feeling well a few weeks ago, and at least 3 clients checked in on her to see how she was feeling now. Those are some great customer relationships!
Moral of the story: they do a great job and really care about the customer.

Just popped in for a quick lip wax ($ 5) by pop off this mom and pop. They are warm and friendly people.

Cindy and Michael are sweet and hard workers who not only do great work but treat you like a family friend! The prices are great and they get the job done efficiently and beautifully.

I was please with their customer service. However I felt that my nails were done sloppy. I liked that the lady tried to fix them but I overall wasn’t satisfied. I had to come home, file, buff and repaint them myself in order for them to look neat.

Loved it. The couple that runs it is great and the pedicure looks wonderful. They are quick and a great value $ 20 pedicure. I will go back!

Got my eyebrows done after 4 months… I know. Overdue.
They got it done quickly and I was fine with it. Them when I got home I realized he missed some hairs sigh! Oh well it was $ 10 so not to crazy

I had a pleasant experience here… The place is small yet very clean. The couple that owns the place are very sweet & really try their best to accommodate you. I had the spa pedi/​mani for $ 35. Reasonably priced & the quality was just as great :) I came on a Tuesday around 2pm & it was not busy at all.
I really don’t see this place doing the new 3D nails, stiletto nails, or the newest wackiest nail trends… That could be a downside for some people that would like to take their kids/​tweens. I would say this place is a go-​to for the simple and basic mani/​pedi… which is fine with me bc that’s exactly what I was looking for. IF you do want all that other stuff, it wouldn’t hurt to call them first & ask just to be sure… ;P
ALSO, they do not accept credit/​debit cards! So, DON’T FORGET TO BRING CASH!
