This babe gives great blanket! Every blanket to come my way has been impeccable. I own four of my own and have bought and given 3 away as gifts. Each gift given was a baby blanket and met with awe. No one had ever seen a blanket like it and then to find out it was ‘homemade’ was even more surprising to the gift recipients. What was even more special is I gave Melissa several personality traits of the mothers-​to-​be getting the blankets and she made the blankets based on that, and that was a HUGE reason they loved them so much! See that’s the thing, this woman makes these blankets as her own small business, but the blankets are on par with what you would find in any large scale/​department store. Add to that her ability to hone in on a design/​style that will be exactly what you didn’t even know you were looking for!
My blankets on the other hand, ain’t baby blankets. The blankets I’ve bought for myself, i had no idea those designs came in fleece! Plus, I’ve met her and she’s smokin hot ;)

When my goddaughter was born, I wanted to give her something more than the typical baby gifts. I knew she’d have a million stuffed animals and toys.
Although she’d also have numerous baby blankets, I knew she wouldn’t have one as special as a blanket from Lullababes. The softness of these blankets are something you have to truly feel to believe.
Melissa was very patient with me as we discussed various pattern types I wanted on the blanket. She made suggestions, but never pushed — always wanting the blanket to be unique and designed by me. When the blanket was complete, I was thrilled with the results!
I gave the blanket to my goddaughter when she was about a month old. She is approaching six months and her parents told me she won’t go to sleep without her Lullababes blanket.

So, I live in Portland Oregon. It’s cold, rainy, icy and sometimes snowy, pretty much 9 months out of the year. Let’s just say that during the winter this ex-​San Diego beach girl pretty much freezes her patootie off.
Enter the wonderful Miss Melissa… I bought a «big babe» blanket from her and I can honestly say that:
A. It’s the only thing that kept me from turning into a popsicle last fall/​winter.
B. I have had to physically check visitors luggage to ensure they aren’t stealing my little snuggly piece of heaven upon leaving after a visit.
And most IMPORTANTLY,
C. It is the only thing that lulls my new kitten to sleep, even if only for an hour preventing her from practicing her hunting skills on my exposed skin.
I LOVE this blanket and Melissa is a dream to work with. She sent me fabric samples and I had my dream blanket in less that a week! It’s huge, big enough for two (or 3) people and so well made that I almost feel like I should have paid double for it.
So, when it hits that freezing 60 degrees you San Diegans (or other temperate climates) and you are ready for some serious snuggling time do yourself a favor and order a blanket.
Just make sure you put a lo-​jack on it so your guests don’t steal it.

I got my 12 year old a Between Babe for his birthday and he loves it. We all do! Whether we are reading together or watching a movie we first grab the blanket and get comfy. Melissa was really easy to work with and chose the perfect fabric for a pre-​teen.
