Being a guy with thick blonde hair and a pretty crazy growth pattern, I am selective when deciding who to let cut my hair. However, it was clear that Mallory was up to the challenge. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I left looking freessshh!
She is very accommodating when it comes to your schedule or rearranging appointments to make it most convenient for the client. The atmosphere in her salon is very inviting & relaxed — I especially like the tropical house beats! Highly recommended!

I already had pretty high expectations going into my first appointment as I had only read great reviews for Mallory, and after she worked her magic on my hair, I totally understand why all her clients only rave about her!
She is super accommodating when it comes to scheduling even during the busy holiday season, sends reminder texts for the appointment, parking directions, and the whole nine yards even before meeting, so I was definitely already impressed by the thoughtfulness and how much care she put into these appointments. Mallory is a complete professional and knew exactly how to treat and remedy my hair as I walked in with super overly-​processed, basically just damaged hair and left the place with a fresh trim and darker color in just the right places that gave my hair such a bouncy, healthy sheen to it. She really took her time with my hair and was not multi-​tasking or going in-​between a few other customers at once, which I really appreciated and added to the great experience. Not only is she a master at her craft in terms of hair coloring, cutting, and styling, but she is such a fun, easy-​going person and super easy to talk to. I knew I could trust her with my hair from the first few minutes of the conversation we had and the next hour and a half in the chair really flew by as we just talked and shared stories. Usually, trying out a new hair stylist is such a shot in the dark, but Mallory did not disappoint and I am already looking forward to my next appointment with her in the future!

Mallory is wonderful! Very professional and detail oriented. My schedule is pretty hectic so I loved how flexible she was when it came to scheduling appointments. I really felt she went above and beyond to see me on the day that I wanted.
Most of these reviews are from brunettes, but she does amazing work with blondes!!! I had seen a few different stylists over the last year which left my hair being 3 different shades of reddish/​weird blonde, not cute. Mallory was able to correct and unify the color into an icy blonde look which I absolutely love.

I called all over san diego to see who would ombré my hair which I am beginning to dread. None wanted to, until I contacted Mallory. She is very adventurous in accepting my messy hair, and I appreciate that. She specializes in the the natural subtlety of hair design. Good hair design is obvious, great hair design is transparent, and this is exactly what I wanted, and Mallory did a great job!

This was my first time coming to Mallory and she did not disappoint! She did a great job redoing my balayage and making it look very natural. Super sweet and a lot of fun to talk to, thank you Mallory!

I have come to Mallory a few times now and she is absolutely phenomenal. She was the first hairstylist I ever trusted to highlight my virgin hair, and now I won’t go to anyone else! She listens and knows exactly what will look good on you, gives advice and is extremely knowledgable of products to use. Keeping this short simple went in not 100% sure of what i wanted but Mallory was able to direct me on the color. After some coloring with highlights and a cut i walked out really loving it. I will definitely go back.

I just moved to San Diego and was in need of a new hair stylist. Just got a haircut by Miss Mallory, I’m pretty impressed as she did a nice job with my way overgrown hair. I have baby fine hair and she made sure not too much was cut off but it still looks healthy. I’m sure I’ll never get it the same as she styled it, but I’m really excited about the new look!

Mallory is AWESOME! After my previous stylist colored my hair way too dark, my boss recommended me to Mallory and I am seriously SO happy she had time open for me. Mallory was able to fit me in within the week which I appreciated so much as I was hating the color my hair was. I asked her if she could lighten up the dark boring brown and do some balayage highlights for a bronde look. She totally exceeded expectation. My hair was the exact color and look I was wanting and I’ve never been more satisfied after having my hair colored! You can definitely tell she knows what she’s doing. She was so nice and I loved the studio’s atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Mallory is AMAZING! I originally purchased the Groupon and browsed through her social channels before scheduling an appointment (I had a really bad hair cut 4 months ago so I’ve been scared to get a cut and color since then). I told Mallory my story of how I went in for some layers and came out with a «lob» at my last salon. She made me feel instantly comfortable and told me she would keep as much of my length as possible and she kept that promise. She gave me sun-​kissed, natural highlights and a great medium length cut. I wish I could have stayed there longer just chatting with her. I would highly recommend her services and can’t wait to come back!

Good hairstylists are hard to find. Mallory is FABULOUS! It’s as though she can read minds and has the skills to match her artistic visions. She is innovative, professional, and personable. Also her studio is so chic; complete with flowers, chandeliers and Victorian chairs. Love.

I’ve gotten highlights before, and my hair has always been over treated and come out like straw! And this has been from high end places! When I went here, my hair came out just a soft and nice as before, and the color looked great and STAYED.

I learned about M Studio’s through a friend after too many bad haircuts at Supercuts. Conveniently, she is located just south of my house.
From the first visit, there is a certain ease, and eager to please attitude that Mallory gives off. I think I have thrown 10 different pictures and random ideas at her over the past year and she has explained exactly how we would do each one, and what it would take from me. Some of them I pushed forward on, and some of them I didn’t want to put the work into. Regardless, whatever I asked Mallory to do, she was able to do exactly like I had hoped and if any of my ideas needed more time, she would tell me immediately.
I could not be happier with the service that I got receive from M Studios, and will/​do recommend the salon to everyone I meet that is looking for a new location.

I highly recommend Mallory! She is a stylist who listens to exactly what you want! I came in for a trim because I love my long hair; it looked so healthy and full afterward that I felt like I got extensions!
