Main Thing Events

I have to start by saying that our wedding would not have been the same without Lindsay and Michelle’s help! My husband and I just got married less than 3 weeks ago and had the pleasure of having Michelle and Lindsay as our day-​of coordinators for our reception at the Bernardo Winery. Lindsay was always on top of emails that I would send late at night, frantic the week before our wedding. She always assured me everything would work out great, and it did! They really take the stress out of everything the day of, making our wedding so enjoyable for my whole family :) They really did an amazing job and went above and beyond what I expected! I could not imagine our wedding without them being there and HIGHLY recommend their services:)

Michelle and Lindsay are the sweetest girls and my husband and I are so happy we chose them to coordinate our wedding via their day of services.
It was important to me to have my family be able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about anything, and my venue did not offer any day of coordinating services. Hiring the sister duo was a great choice and it was also so convenient using Lindsay for my baking needs! She created the most beautiful/​delicious cake!
Michelle and Lindsay followed all my requests and the set up looked amazing. I am so glad that my mother was able to enjoy herself and not stress! Definitely consider using these two if you are looking for wedding assistance!

Lindsay & Michelle were by far one the best Planners /​Coordinators that I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with as a DJ. They work well with one another and are very personable, professional. Clients opt to not have a planner or coordinator, but to truly enjoy your day, you definitely need an awesome team and main thing events is the way to go!

My daughter and I are fortunate to have been referred to these two wonderful ladies (Main Thing Events). They were a joy to work with throughout the planning process. On the day of they were professional looking and had the event running like a well oiled machine. Coordinating, caterers, DJ’s, The Band, shuttles and every little lthing that it takes to have a memorable, happy day. I didn’t have to worry about one detail. Michelle creates the most wonderful sweets (Sweet Thing) and set up a beautiful sweet table at the venue. I highly recommend them, you will be as pleased as we were.

My wedding would not have been complete with out you two!!! From the start both Lindsay and Michelle were so easy to talk too and made me feel at ease that every vision i had would be complete. I am a organized planner and i knew exactly what i wanted and they were able to make it all possible for me to relax on my day knowing they had it all handled. The treats are beyond amazing!!! Michelle bakes some yummy stuff and makes it all look the part too! Thank you so much i’am one happy bride!

Our family loves Michelle’s delicious desserts, but we live in New York State. Our order arrived on time, beautifully packaged and in perfect condition. Do not hesitate to mail order desserts long distance from Sweet Thing. You won’t be disappointed!

We had the opportunity to work with Main Thing Events for our wedding in Malibu, CA. I can’t begin to tell you how much they did for us on that very special day. They are true to their mantra, wanting the couple to focus on the «main thing» (getting married).
Our venue was challenging enough but they went above and beyond what we had asked of them and helped create the best day of my life. They were extremely organized and had methodically planned out the entire wedding. Something we really did not think about. I really don’t know how we would have done it without them. It’s the little things that can really put a damper on the wedding day, but luckily we had Michelle and Lindsay at the helm. And did I mention they do desserts, we had Sweet Thing create a platter of cake pops. Everybody at the wedding was raving about them. It was the perfect treat for the wedding.
Everything went great and could not have asked for better wedding planners than Main Thing Events! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Michelle from Sweet Thing made our cupcakes for our baby shower. We did a modern Dr. Seuss themed coed shower and sent her some pictures of ideas. The cupcakes were beautiful, she modeled them after «Oh, The Places You’ll Go!» and Thing 1 & Thing 2 from «Cat In The Hat». She executed it perfectly! Not to mention they were delicious. She was even able to make some Gluten– Free cupcakes for our gluten free friends! Thank You!
