I participated as an artist in Makers Arcade’s Holiday Fair at Broadway Pier, and I have to say — Rebecca and Jen do an incredible job of organizing this event. There are cocktails and live music, there are lounges and photo booths, and there is an incredible array of San Diego made products. Bet you didn’t know good, solid artists and artisans lived in San Diego — well, now you do. Check out their site: and don’t miss the next show. Hats off to these two for making San Diego 1000x cooler with every event they host!

This is one of my favorite local events in San Diego. The first Makers Arcade I attended was in the winter of 2014. This is a lovely coordinated event that occurs around the holiday and again in the spring. The day involves a community of local artisans, custom gift makers, cocktail creators, food trucks, coffee roasters, and is topped off with some form of craft activity, a photo booth and a live band! These are at least some of the lovely things you can expect to find. The events rotate at different locations in San Diego, often in historic buildings or unique architectural gems around town. Each year they have returning vendors and new offerings and you can ALWAYS find a perfect gift for some occasion for someone special here, due to the variety of offerings. A few favorite parts of the 2015 Spring Fair: First 100 in Line Goodie Bag $ 6.00 Craft Cocktails by A Golden Afternoon Bacon and Avocado Waffle by Wow Wow Waffle Staging by Pow Wow Designs The list could go on with the vend. however, this event should be experienced by the individual as it beauty if in the eyeof the beholder… there is something for everyone and again my most favorite part — they are woof friendly!
