Best place I’ve ever had when it comes to fish tacos every time I’m in San Diego I have to go there! Good prices and friendly customer service! I just wish I know what was in that Orange colored sauce they have

As a transplant from the Florida coast I am always searching out for«local» food. The proximity to Mexico and the quality of the food tells me this is authentic. I miss the street food of Miami but I now CRAVE the street food of Isaac!

If you don’t stop by here, you are missing out on what SOCAL and Mexico have to offer! This is a must stop for me when I am in San Diego!!! Fish Taco’s are the bomb!!! Everything they serve is great. This taco cart makes most restaurants embarassed at their food quality.

Craving seafood at a low price but always find it deep fried or tasting like cardboard? Well, ladies and gentlemen NOMORE! For about $ 12 or less depending on what you’re getting you can FEAST! I saw I had a draft from San Diego I never finished and right now I wish I had some of their delicious seafood taco truck extravaganza right about now! Everything is good, but the fish tacos were always my favorite.

Best Marlin Taco in the SouthBay! I’ve tried other several places and not the same. I used to buy Marlin Fish uncooked to go from here, when i was dieting.

We live up the street from this place and it is DANGEROUS because we might never cook for ourselves again. These guys have the best seafood tacos in the area. Always good ingredients(nice, fluffy fish) and great pickled onions and salsas to top them with. They have the staple fried fish tacos for a buck each which are fine. But quite honestly the extra fifty cents for the grilled fish or shrimp tacos is WORTHIT! They’ll give you soup in a cup to start you off, mmmm. They’ve also always gone out of their way to make the tacos cheese free for us since we’re lactose intolerant!

Maybe I just hit them on an off day. My nephew and I visited Mariscos Isaac today for lunch at around 12pm. I had great memories of past visits and was excited to share this food truck with my nephew. First negative — their new location at 1777 Palm Ave is not very desirable. Their past location was in a private lot set away from the noise of Palm Ave. The new location is spitting distance from a major intersection where Highway 75 joins I-5. Hence diesel truck noise makes the setting loud and not cozy. Second negative — our order took forever to make. The lady in the truck apologized and said the grill had gone down and was restarting, and that our order would be ready«soon». The word soon must have a loose meaning. What’s disturbing is that orders placed after us continued being served to customers who appeared to be regulars… who chatted with the truck staff by name. Meanwhile my nephew and I continued to sit watching late comers leaving with their orders. I will say the staff was very apologetic when our orders were finally ready. Hopefully this was an off day and I look forward to giving Mariscos Isaac another chance.

I freaking love this place! The salsa… Best yummiest salsas I always over order food here. The fish tacos are freaking a killer deal and the burritos are fantastic. Don’t let the place scare you, as its just a food truck but the staff and service is amazing. I want a bowl of the free soup he gives you. Yum yum yum!

Best shrimp tacos I have ever had hands down! The fish taco was delicious too. They offer you a free sample of soup and no matter how hot it is you should try it. It is spicy full of bold fresh flavor. The menu is in Spanish but they all speak English if you need help. This place will be seeing me over and over again.

My goodness this place is delicious! Of course I found it on Unilocal and had to check it out based on the reviews. I love food and think food trucks are the best. I call it street food and always eat it when I travel because it is always fresh. Glad to see the movement is alive and strong in the US now and this particular food truck does not disappoint. The fish tacos are full of flavor, especially with the cabbage slaw they are served with and the price honestly makes them taste better. We’ve tried other things on the menu, but it is kind of a long menu and if you are not familiar with the items, it is a little intimidating ordering because they are moving so fast and you don’t want to look like a novice. Let’s not forget to mention that I love to eat, so making a decision on food is very difficult for me. This is not one of those places where being indecisive is ok because there are most certainly a lot of hungry people behind you and they will order right over you. The service is a little slow like somebody else mentioned. Not sure what the cause is, but I think it might have to do with the space inside and the number of people working. It seems very chaotic inside. They still deserve 4 stars though because the taste and price are the best in IB. I can’t speak for all of San Diego because we are spoiled and don’t venture too far from home. They have a few tables set up, but they are usually taken. Best bet is to get your food to go. Definitely go check it out. maybe not during lunch hour if you are in a hurry.

I’ve tried many other Mexican food trucks, but this one’s the best I’ve been to thus far! I’ve had their campenchana, fish tacos, marlin, shrimp tacos, Isaac taco, and shrimp burrito and plan on trying a different thing each time I’m here. I wish I could recommend just one item, but everything I’ve tried has been delicious. One of the guys(could be one of the owners) always offers me a free cup of soup, while I’m waiting for my food. Also, I met Veronica, who befriended the owners five years ago, she says. As far as I know, she doesn’t really work for them, but just provides the music and entertainment(referring to her excellent social skills) and helps out every now and then. She was nice enough to throw away my trash, clean my table and give me some food recommendations for my next visit. Veronica cracks me up because she tells it like it is. They do need more eating areas though because there are only two picnic type tables to eat on and a rail on the food truck on which you can place your plate and eat standing up or add condiments or toppings. Bobar Liquor made a wise choice in permitting Mariscos Isaac to conduct business on their property because it has created a great partnership. Mariscos Isaac doesn’t sell beverages, but their food is so good that patrons don’t mind walking next door to buy some, while waiting for their food. The folks at Bobar Liquor are just as friendly too!

Found this little gem on Unilocal years ago and went to try it out with the boyfriend… I have never went to another food truck besides this one since then. It is that amazing. My favorite is the taco Isaac and a shrimp cocktail. The taco Isaac is hot and filled with lots of shrimp and chili sauce while the shrimp cocktail tastes fresh and is always filled with shrimp and not other cheap fillers. Overall the taste is exceptional and reminds me of my moms cooking, which almost no one can beat. Try this place out your tummy and palette will be happy!

Great surf & turf burritos keep me coming every week. Great price located by the liquor store. Had outdoor eating tables on shade. Service is a little slow even when there’s no costumers. There is no right off way too order food so you will have to just yell out an order before someone else orders before you. Ok place to eat. But what would you expect from a Roach Coach. Right

The location changed(it’s now closer to the freeway by Bobar’s Liquor store) & thankfully somethings never change like all the yummy goodness about this truck, thank my lucky fucking stars. Don’t you ever go changing on me Isaac. You’re all that’s wonderful in this mariscos world. PS your 1st time here? Try the Taco Isaac, game changer!(you can thank me later) Have you lookin at Mariscos in a whole new light.

Cheap but amazing FISHANDSHRIMP Tacos!!! As soon as you get there order the free«consume«(Really good fish/shrimp soup) and get yourself 2 Fish Tacos and 2 Shrimp Tacos and you be the judge. They do not skimp on the avocado here at all… that alone has to make you try it for yourself. You can thank me later…

I don’t understand how some other taco purveyors have literally thousands of reviews, while this gem seems undiscovered by comparison. Note it has moved slightly since it’s previous location(do not panic as we recently did when we couldn’t immediately find them — they’re just down the street next to a liquor store now). I was treated to the Taco Isaac — a seafood medley of assorted fresh fish, shellfish, shrimp and awesomeness. The excellent ingredients and spicing would have made this a solid taco, but what puts it over the edge into Best Taco I’ve Ever Had territory is the tortilla. Now, forgive me, I am gauche, but I am usually not a fan of corn tortillas but these were marinated and fried on the grill, leading to a tender(but not mealy), crispy(but not hard), firm(but not chewy), delicious vehicle for the awesome filling. I am going to try to figure out how to make the little soups they give out while you wait too. Yum, all around. So good.
