McDonald’s

One of the worst. Low expectations, still awful. Fountain drinks didn’t function, surly manager didn’t even try to help out. Traumatically bad. Avoid if you can!

So I was working in the area for a while. On occasion, I went here for breakfast before work or lunch during. There is generally an awkward smell inside although it could be because this is a highly traffic mcds due to location.
Opening hrs are 6am but one day they opened about 7 minutes late then took 15 minutes or more ((I don’t know because I had to be at work and drove off)) to make my meal… a bacon egg & cheese mcgriddle meal w/​a round egg and oj. Ridiculous. They didn’t even seem to care.
As many other Mcds do, they often get orders wrong… sometimes multiple times.
It gets crowded and they do not have staff to handle it inside or in drive thru.
Make sure to ALWAYS check your sweet yea because it may be DIET, raspberry or even a ridiculously tasting regular sweet tea.

Dirty. Cold and crowded.
I have no clue when it’s 50 degrees outside they have the ac blasting.
We had to clean our own table. After waiting for a bunch of uneducated people to finish. I can’t believe how people will put themselves in front of a 4 year old. I wonder how they treat their grandmother.
And I still can’t get over the ac blasting while it’s so cold outside.

This place gets packed. Not really a problem but the place is small already! The food is good, as far as McDonald’s goes, but they do screw up the orders. Its the price we pay for fast service. Also, clean your table before you order, because the employees wont do it for you. Definitely recommend the Drive Thru, but make sure you check your food before you leave.

I bet the food is just like any other McDonald’s but the restrooms were filthy!!! overflowing trash bins and tissues (used or not) on the floors behind the toilet!!! eeeeeewwwww!!!

I had the best Vanilla Iced Coffee here this morning! Who ever made it — I wish you could make all my coffees each morning!!! I love Starbucks — but if every McDonalds made my ice vanilla coffee like this I would give my business to McDonalds for sure.
Also my son had the Big Breakfast… eggs were perfect — better than Jack in the Crack eggs…

I will reaffirm what almost every other review here seems to say. WORST SERVICE AT ANY MCDONALD’S EVER! Of course I don’t expect much from crappy McDonald’s but when staying in San Ysidro the only food open 24 Hours here is below average fast food… Unlike Tijuana which is a foodie’s paradise with incredible restaurants and local dives open til’ at least 4am on most nights. I figured it would be way too much hassle to walk all the way back over to T.J. just to eat… Boy was I mistaken. Took them 5 minutes just to acknowledge me. Manager dude saw me and then said «Oh, she will take your order» and pointed to some other girl who didn’t acknowledge me for several more minutes… Then once I began placing my order, the lady interrupted me in mid order to start talking to two other people who came up and asked for more ketchup and then another man who asked for a hot chocolate refill. Then completely walked away from the register in the middle of my order, left me standing there wondering «what the hell?!» to refill this old dude’s hot chocolate. I mean, again… I realize «It IS McDonald’s.» but seriously? This location SUCKS. It is also so completely dirty! I have no idea how the board of health in California gave this place an «A Grade»?! Someone was obviously paid off or something cause i visibly saw multiple health code violations with my very own eyes. Do yourself a favor and don’t support this place, call and complain, maybe they will actually hire some people that are competent, although I doubt it, since it seemed that the manager was a big part of the problem. It’s one thing to be the lowest of the low on the totem pole of food in our universe. But it’s another to be the lowest of that low as well. Congratulations. This McDonald’s wins that prize. You want food poisoning? Come here! You want good food? Turn around. Go back to Mexico as fast as you can. That is all.

Went to this place for lunch today and wasn’t impressed much. I don’t go to Mc Donalds to often and now I remember why (besides the fact that it’s not healthy for ya).
I ordered a Big Mac and Chicken Mc Nuggets. The Big Mac was okay, but the Nuggets were hard and crispy and tasted like they were sitting under the hot lamp for hours on end.
The only thing I did like was the fact they didn’t charge for an extra BBQ sauce.

Just stopped by to get an ice cream cone with the wifey and I will gladly go else where! If you do not want to take my order or money, not a problem!

Worst McDonalds ive been to. Seriously the service is wack, i know its at a mall and gets full, but still service is slow. Also, I AM NOT RACIST OR PREJUDICE IN ANYWAY, but just because the McDonalds is right next to the border, dosent mean they cant here people that speak proper english. Ive been their about 7 or 8 times at about 5 times they got my order wrong. You have to ask for napkins which i think sucks. Also im guessing they dont really care about employees coming in and just visiting or talking and and messing around. Nothing but hey wey this hey wey that que pedo this que pedo that. Ummm its a work place if you wanna chit chat wait till your both on brake or off the clock.

20 piece Chicken McNuggets for $ 5 is the reason why i’m giving this place a 4 star. they also got the 2 Big Mac’s for $ 5 also The service is kinda slow and they will mess up your order sometimes. but to beat the hunger and be cheap. this place is my choice

I used to come here about once a week. This is the worst mcDonalds I have ever been to. I only return here because it’s one of only 2 fast food places in the area (Subway, on the north side of Camino de la plaza and west of mcdonalds).
Nearly all of the employees here speak English poorly, to the point that I need to repeat myself and/​or there is confusion on what I ordered.
Another problem is with the verbal upsells. Almost any fast food place will ask, «would you like to try our new blah blah BLAH?» I understand that it is standard practice but it still annoys me. If I wanted that, I would have ordered it, Thank you!
Once they did that twice. The cashier asked if I wanted to try a new Mocha crappy McCrap. «no thanks but I’ll have a #5». Would u like to get a chocolate chip cookie with that?! «nooooo!»
LOL.
Only go here if you are desperate!
