Everything is nicer in the Heights, even McDonald’s. I just wanted something quick to take back to the office. The drive thru line was way too long so I forced to go inside to place my order. Usually going indside McD’s is a dicey proposition but it turned out to be a great stroke of luck. This is a fancy bistro style McDonald’s with comfy chairs and ambiance. I actually sat down and relaxed and ate my meal inside! The silver ceiling titles were a nice touch. Seriously… — My new secret hideout.

CHUN P’s EXPECTATIONSVERSUSREALITY Season 3, Episode 2 Three mozzarella sticks for $ 1 seemed like a groovy idea… only just be sure you check that there is actual mozzarella cheese in there BEFORE you drive off. BONUS: I need to lose a few pounds before swimsuit season anyway…

This review is for their hours open. First of all, Unilocal says they are open 24/7, not true. They are supposed to be open until midnight according to their manager but I’ve had the late night munchies twice(930pm and 11pm) and both times they were unexpectedly closed! What’s the point of having a fast food joint in the heart of Carmel valley if you’re not going to be open late?! False advertisement.

Great place to pop by and grab a cone when dying for one and can’t find a parking spot in the center to actually go in Swirls and grab what you really want! Not a fan of letting my son eat their food, so I keep that to an egg mcmuffin and a very rare burger. Their egg white egg mcmuffins aren’t bad for a quick fix.

Very happy I picked up new bowl! A great surprise was that a hash brown was the base! I hope McDonalds rolls out to all of CA.

The restaurant is very well decorated and in a very good location. The reason for this score is that the night staff are amazingly rude.

I suppose as far as McDonald’s go, this location is among the best. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and a far cry from the basic dining rooms that I remember as a child. The chandelier and curtains framing the mirror in the bathroom were pleasant surprises. However, I’ve never been a fan of McDonald’s food and remain unimpressed. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with the«deluxe» toppings. How mayo, lettuce and tomato came to be known as deluxe I don’t understand. Seems pretty standard to me. The grilled chicken has a strange flavor that I can’t quite figure out yet at the same time didn’t seem to have enough flavor. It was so blah that I couldn’t even finish it. The fries were equally unimpressive. I know many people swear that McDonald’s makes the best fries but I would choose any other fry over theirs. They seem so fake and don’t taste like potatoes. They’re not crispy enough on the outside or soft enough on the inside. Again, I ate a few and threw out the rest. For the price, almost $ 8 for the chicken sandwich meal, I could get much higher quality food at Smashburger or the Habit for maybe only a dollar or two more. I also got a chicken home style ranch sandwich at Jack in the Box earlier this week that came with cheese and was much more enjoyable. Plus, I’ll take curly fries over McDonald’s fries any day! The only menu items I enjoy at McDonald’s are the hash browns, ice cream sundaes and yogurt parfaits. I suppose if you enjoy McDonald’s food then this restaurant would be a step up from your standard McDonald’s but I just will never be able to jump on the McDonald’s bandwagon and will be avoiding eating here unless it’s one of the aforementioned decent items.

Honestly, it’s the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been in, or seen. Granted I am from the south, but this McDonald’s is like an opera house. The food is classically horrible, but, you can feel like a trailer park queen whilst eating your dollar cheese burger amongst settings fit for king Louis, a definite must in Del Mar.

I feel weird writing a review for a McDonalds… but it has to be done. This is not only the nicest Mickey D’s I’ve ever set foot in, but they also provide top notch costumer service. Every time I have gone here my order has been taken right away and the food is ready extremely quickly. The cashiers are always friendly and I have to especially say the managers are wonderful, always making sure guests are attended to. One manager came over to me with the coffee pot when he saw me walking to the counter to get a refill. Just little things like that that show this place«gets» it. Great service, clean restaurant, upscale décor, cool vibe, what more could you ask for in a McDonald’s?

Fancy McDonald’s! Lots of fancy designs and Victorian-Esque décor. Really cool. The only thing though is when I went here early evening there were quite a few tables that hadn’t been cleaned up and there wasn’t even a lot of customers. Just kinda detracted from the look. Other than that. Just your everyday McDonald’s.

OK, McDonald’s is McDonald’s. You can’t give this two stars because you’re comparing it to Smash Burger or Counter. In my book, this McDonalds is a 4-star McDonald’s. Upon first walking in, the interior décor makes it look almost like a fine dinning restaurant. It’s definitely much fancier than your day-to-day McDonald’s. Gotta cater to the Del Mar community! Everytime I’ve come into this McDonald’s, my food is ALWAYS served to me before I can even walk away from the cashier — usually before I’m even done putting my wallet away. I made a McDonald’s run for work, I know, how fancy, and decided to try and go through the drive-thru to place multiple separate orders. I know, I was the asshole for the day. But honestly, the way McDonald’s was able to handle the situation blew me away. The lady taking my order was extremely efficient and professional. She took down all the multiple orders with no problems, the guy who took my payment was also efficient and professional, and all my orders were handed to me as soon as I pulled up to the window. In my previous experiences with McDonalds, workers always take forever, orders are never correct, and you don’t always receive the most professional experience or good customer service. Definitely not the case at this McDonalds.

It’s a McDonalds Bistro. That’s how my husband and I justify stopping through here. They have the usual choices and plenty of «healthier» options like salads and grilled chicken. The cashiers I’ve encountered seem to be snotty kids from the neighborhood who were forced to work and are less than helpful. Overall, great place to stop if you need something fast through the drive thru. If I have the energy to go inside, then I’ll go to Urban Plates or Rubios nearby.

I’ve been here a few times before. This place is like no other McDonald’s I have ever been to. They really went out of their way to do the décor here. Kind of reminds me of a McDonald’s I saw when I was in Paris. Everything has a personal touch to it. The carpet, the marble tables, even the ceiling is all decorated. The customer service was fast and place is clean except for the corner of the curtains. They were spiderwebs up there and they need to dust. It’s located in Delmar which is an upscale area. So I guess the McDonald’s matches the area.

Someone really needs to change their hours on their Unilocal page. I found them through a quick«Nearby» search, but they were listed as closed in the middle of the afternoon! Luckily, I was so desperate to get off the I-5 and get some refreshment that I kept hope alive that the«Closed» on Unilocal was only a mistake, and it was. The McDonalds is gloriously open during the day indeed. I’ve only been through the drive thru each time of my visit, and both times it was a quick and easy trip. I wish I could say the same about the parking lot one has to traverse to reach the place, but I digress. It’s not their fault, and they are efficient enough to make it worth your time. I got a Shamrock shake the first time, which was tasty, and an iced coffee and sandwich the second time, which also tasted just fine. I wish they’d mixed up the coffee more so it tasted vanilla-y, but it was no big deal especially for the price(less than $ 2 for 20 oz). Upon exiting you can easily turn left onto Del Mar Heights and get right back on that hellish freeway.

I’ve only done drive-thru here a few times during my lunch break. I haven’t experience a long wait at all and the cashiers have been friendly. One time this guy that I got as cashier in the drive thru was hyper and he was trying to do a «magic trick» with my credit card, he was funny. I love the food here for a quick cheap fix. dangeriously addicting and unhealthy at the same time. Based on other reviews and pictures I will check out how fancy it is inside this Del Mar location next time I visit.

I think this was a great visit through the drive-thru. People, i ordered the lemon and the choclate mini-bundts… The lemon one was really good! The line was long, however the service was fast and efficent. Way to go Mc Donald’s!

Not a fan of McDonalds in general and happy to walk past there most days but decided to stop by on a craving. Service was awful, kid could barely speak English. Burger was OK, not hot and basically lame. Fries were cold and overly salted so threw them away. Diet coke was the highlight.

This is hands down the nicest McDonald’s in San Diego. Walk-in and see concierge on the left and bell hop on the right. I’m kidding, but the interior is that nice! Fancy booths and wallpaper. Nice gold framed art and mirrors. You don’t feel like you’re in McDonald’s at all. That’s Del Mar for ya! Service is also great. I’ve dined in a few times, but typically grab a salad through the drive thru and they’re always quick and efficient. I’ve had no problems here. This location positively raises the value of the McDonald’s brand.

My granddaughter, a happy victim of McDonald’s truly marketing with kids meals, convinced us to come to this McDonald’s for lunch after Mass this Sunday, 30 March. While the restaurant was not overly busy, it seemed to take forever to place our order, one kids meal, one filet of fish combo and a grilled onion, cheddar burger. Upon sitting down at the booth, opening up my fish filet sandwich, I noticed that the fish filet was actually more than half off the bun and smothered in sauce,. .. .. .so I had to take my fingers, separate the cheesy filet filet from the bun to reposition it on the bun. What the heck? I noticed that my shoes were slipping and sliding underneath my seat and upon looking, saw that there was a spilled chocolate milk container underneath my seat and now all over my shoe. Going to the bathroom to wash my hands,. .. .. .. the floors were filthy. I also noticed the very professional way the urinals were adjusted. Where is attention to detail?

Not your typical McDonald’s! Kids ordered Happy Meals and what a fancy shmancy Mickey-D’s this was, Where are the cloth napkins? So fancy you almost wait to be seated! This is how Del Mar does McDonalds! Decorated in Old World Décor complete with ceiling murals, heavy drapes, chandeliers, oil paintings, beautiful gold carved mirrors, white marble tables, and heavy dark furnishings… sounds like a steak should be served here instead! In Sicily at the McCafe’s, you could find Tiramisu, Chocolate Mousse, pastries and Capuccinos served in ceramic coffee cups. I really wish they would bring McCafe’s to the U.S. This place I guess tried to upscale the menu by including some typical Italian snacks like gelato and panini’s but apparently no more we found empty cases:( Maybe they’re working on a new menu? Regardless, come here just to see it you won’t believe it!
