I conducted a thorough internet search and decided this was the doctor I wished to advise me about my eye issue. He was the eye doctor for the Blue Angels, and is a Lt. Commander, but still under 50. I used to go to UCSD’s Shiley Eye Institute, but found the long wait, long«teaching» appointment did not work with me anymore. So far I am extremely pleased.

WARNING: This office is one of the many that will not give you your pupillary distance measurement unless you buy glasses from them. Doctor seems very nice and competent, though.

Dr. Couris is dedicated, caring and knowledgable. He made room for us on his schedule even without prior insurance authorization and worked with us on fees. Spent plenty of time and followed through with multiple checks to ensure there were no further complications. Office staff very nice and friendly.

Have been going here for yrs. Last few yrs it has become more numbers oriented and the office staff is less than helpful. Started charging co-pay for tests when not seeing the Dr., this is the only place I have had this experience. Will find a more patient oriented practice.
