I had problems in the past finding a good program to refi my house. I have jumbo loan taken out at the height of the market in early 2004 and it needed to go away. MWM did a great job of working with me and made the process easy. All disclosures and the application were done online, and all the documents i submitted were electronic. Made the appraisal came in to justify the loan program and it worked out great. Didn’t have to use a pen until the notary showed up at my house to close the loan.

I just closed escrow on my new property and Jim Apessos was so awesome! My mom referred me to him. He was very patient and attentive to my (MANY) questions and needs. He was always friendly and remained professional and calm in the midst of the home buying process. Highly recommended!

I had such a pleasant experience the first few times I used Jim Apessos at Midwest Equity Mortgage that I ignored the advice of my Real Estate agent and insisted on using him again when I bought a new house recently. What a great experience. We wanted to get out of our PMI and had contacted Jim Apessos last summer. Jim told us that the comps in the area were not high enough and he wanted to contact us after the summer selling season. I figured that was the big blow off and a refi wasn’t going to happen. In October we got several flyers from companies wanting to help us refi, my wife called a few and didn’t feel comfortable with them over the phone. We still had Jims flyer from last summer so she called him. First thing that impressed me was, Jim remembered who we were. Throughout the process Jim was always there to answer questions and make sure the process went smooth. I don’t think he ever goes home, I emailed Jim about a few things on a Sunday night and got an immediate response. I have never had anyone who has assisted me with a home purchase or refinance explain things to me like Jim did. He provided us with options and walked us through the pros and cons of the options, this was all done over the phone. In the end, Jim explained to me why the option I liked (most expensive one) was not in my best interest and saved me a ton of money out of pocket. The process moved amazingly fast and Jim timed the closing to be in our best financial interest. Everyone Jim used that we were in contact with (appraiser, notary, office staff, etc.) was friendly and professional. Can’t say enough good things; friendly, helpful, professional, prompt, honest. We’re saving money every month and very happy. If you read my past reviews of another finance company I stated that I could only recommend who not to use for your loans, now I can say who I would recommend. My Husband and I recently purchased our first home, as first time buyers we knew next to nothing about purchasing a home and Matt Dennison came highly recommended to us via a work colleague of my husbands, we had spoken to a few lenders by this time and honestly left each conversation not knowing much more and not feeling any more at ease in this big purchase. So we called Matt and wow!!! Now here is a man who not only loves his job but cares about you getting the best deal he can give, he told us from day one that he wants the opportunity to earn our business and he would be available ²⁴⁄₇ for us. Man did he mean it!!! Matt empowered us with knowledge (he was a wealth of it!) He really was available 24/​7, his patience and understanding was absolutely amazing, he really wanted us to feel comfortable in our purchase. I have a very similar experience to Dia P. I too am a first time home buyer and don’t know what I would have done without Matt Dennison. Matt came highly recommended through friends and did not dissapoint. I had a lot of very nieve questions and was very apprehensive and Matt was extremely patient with me and went over and over all of the details until I felt secure. He was with me through the very end of closing and beyond, which is much more than I can say for my agent who was terrible. Upon the purchase of my home I found that there were issues not disclosed and Matt was very supportive through the resolution of them. I would recommend Matt highly and will be using him again in the future when my situation changes.

I’m lucky I didn’t catch the two negative reviews before engaging Matt Dennison at MidWest equity for my new home loan. Otherwise, I might not have had the incredible experience I did. Hopefully all of you know to read the unrecommended reviews here because Unilocal seems to do some «shady-​ness» with how they appear… anyway I am thankful I found Matt. He really is amazing. He’d replied almost instantly to a query I submitted online. I’d submitted 3 different requests with 3 different lenders and he was the first and *only* one to respond to me. From the start, Matt was eager to win my business, taking my budget, goals and concerns to heart. He immediately responded to my endless and maybe silly requests (being a first time home buyer), getting me pre-​approved in less than 24 hours (my previous broker had stopped responding to me via email and had taken 2 months and still failed to get me a pre-​app). He explained the industry jargon, how the mortgage financial structure works, how brokers make money (and even caveats and trickery to watch out for), each step in the mortgage process, and proactively helped me to prepare all the necessary documentation for a quick and painless closing. We were twiddling our thumbs waiting for the closing date! It just goes to show that if you have someone who actually *cares* you *can* get your loan processed quickly and without issue. Matt also took calls late at night, gave me accurate and thorough insight going over and above what I expected. He even listened to me freak out at the size of the purchase, calming me down with reason :) He got me the lowest interest rate around and an additional credit on closing costs. I will certainly be recommending him to all my friends and family… and of course for my re-​fi. Too bad he is in San Diego or he’d be invited to the housewarming!

Jim Apessos is great loan originator and very friendly, he help me refinance my home with in two week with very easy going and confindent. he would answer any question that I did not understand. that me me feel more confindent to go forward my loan. after a month shopping and calling around end up with no where. Midwest Equity Mortgage is best loan company that do very fast and keep all the the promise. Jim Apessos help me to finish my loan fast and easy, with in 2 weeks. We refinanced last year and everything went very smooth. We worked with Jim Apessos and he was easy to work with, had excellent communication skills and got us refinanced quicker than any of our previous refi’s. I highly recommend Jim and his company!

I was looking to refinance and tried calling many mortgage companies only for them to say that they couldn’t refinance me out of my FHA ⁵⁄₁ ARM. I got Midwest Equity’s flyer in the mail and decided to see what they could offer.
Jim Apessos quickly assessed my situation and not only did he say he could help me refinance into a fixed rate mortgage, he gave me 3 different options with pros and cons which he went over. He answered my many questions and didn’t push me to go with him or his company. I shopped around and still couldn’t get anyone to even give me a quote to refinance me. With no obligation monetarily from my end, I decided to go ahead with Midwest and they closed within 4 weeks.
It was great because now I have a fixed rate mortgage, with lower payments and my appraisal came in high enough to get rid of my PMI. Jim literally saved me thousands where all other companies didn’t even take the time to look at any options for me. Thanks Jim! Highly recommended.

We just purchased a new home and worked with Matt Dennison, who was highly recommended by our real estate agent.
This is my third home purchase, and it was by far the best and easiest experience I’ve had! Matt is great and was totally on top of things, and communicated to us regularly throughout the transaction so we always knew what was happening. He also gave us several products to consider, and we ended up with a great deal. I honestly cannot recommend him enough, and my husband and I will be customers for life.
