Mission Hills Community Pre-School

I love MHCP. My daughter attended pre-​school here for three years before kindergarten and now my son is attending school here. The entire staff is incredibly professional and well educated. The curriculum superlative. The director, Anna, is a fantastic human being. The environment is engaging, authentic and warm.

I too have nothing but ABSOLUTE glowing words to describe our family’s experience at MHCP. Not only did our twin boys grow as individuals at this school, my husband and I learned to be better parents.
The school provides a loving and nurturing environment where a child’s social and emotional development are supported. My boys learned to express their feelings, be kind to others, and have fun while doing it! The school also caters to the creative nature of a child. The art projects the boys did were nothing short of amazing. And of course they came home dirty. .. that’s when I knew it had been a day of full exploration and hands-​on learning.
I know many, many families who have sent all their children to this school and have shed many tears when their children was finished with the program. And speaking of parents, the school provides on-​going parent education with a wide variety of outside speakers which was a life saver for our family. We learned how to include our children in their development. .. it is amazing the positive impact this can have on family dynamics.
And finally the staff. .. INCREDIBLE! The leadership Anna (the director) brings to the school is outstanding. She not only gives of herself professionally, but personally. I went to her office many times for coaching on my boys’ development and how to deal with behavior challenges. Her teachings and those she brought to the classroom will forever be part of our family. The teachers too are one in a million. I felt blessed knowing everyday when I left my children they would be well cared for and loved. And what a thrill to watch their learning explode through fun /​active /​creative play. In fact, the only sitters we still use are teachers from the school.

I have to admit that I am shocked by the previous review giving the Mission Hills Community Pre-​School 1 Star. Our son has been at the pre-​school for 2 years at this point and we could not be happier. The school creates a safe and nurturing environment for the children and the teachers and the director have been nothing short of fantastic. The school encourages creativity and play for the children and our son absolutely LOVES going to school every day. The facilities are great and the children have the opportunity to choose indoor or outdoor activities every day depending on what they feel like doing.
It’s a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small nurturing program for Pre-​K in Mission Hills.
