I literally just finished eating my humongous BLT and here I am writing all about it.
This has got to be the best BLT I’ve ever had and I’ve had my share of those.
The best part is that I went in my pj’s and I didn’t pay more than $ 10 for it!!!
Ingredients are fresh and bacon was nice and crispy.
I added cheddar, avocado and spinach to my sandwich.
You can also call in your order.
They proudly serve Boars head meat, and vegetarian options as well.
Bread options are: white, rye, sourdough, rosemary sourdough, white roll and wraps.
Great variety of salads.
While waiting for my sandwich I took a peek at their beer and wine selection and it was pretty well stocked and at very reasonable prices.

I just moved to the area a few months ago. Was totally craving a delicious sandwich that I didn’t have to make. Found this market on Unilocal… Such a delicious sandwich. They use Boar’s head meat. So tasty. Not only that but the service is great. I used my debit card and the gentleman called me by my name. So did the nice lady who made my sandwich. Definitely will be back!

Roast beef on rosemary sour dough with all the fixings is my go to! Good, quality sandwiches. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.
Note that the sandwiches take a bit long to make (especially if there are other customers waiting) so be patient or call ahead.

Super friendly with great service and delicious BLTs. They also have a great collection of beers and wine, and they have all the things a corner market should. Highly recommended!

The boyfriend and I love to come here for sandwiches. It’s hard to find good old fashioned quality like it anymore. I can only eat half, so I save the other half for tomorrow’s lunch!

Awesome sandwiches, awesome service! Def recommend the italian hero and the chipotale chicken. Will definitely come back. Glad i live around the block so when I’m craving a sandwich it isn’t too far of a walk. They’re very generous with their portions. It may take a while if you order more than 1 sandwich, but patience is key. They’re great!

This market has been here for a very long time. The new owners of it made sure it continues to be there for years and years to come.
Now, you’re probably asking, «What’s the big deal? Seems like a typical liquor store to me!» If you want to settle with that impression, then go right ahead. The great things about this place that make it stand out are:
1) They make great sandwiches using Boar’s Head meat and so many ingredients that are all fresh and delicious.
2) They have an impressive selection of beer and wine. So much local craft beer, and it’s absolutely affordable. The wine is very tasteful and of great quality.
3) They are very helpful and courteous.
They are always updating their inventory based on the needs and wants of customers. They get many regulars and would absolutely welcome even more of them.
If you happen to be in the area, it’s a great place to pick up some great items.
TIPS:
— Try the sandwiches. You have to try them. I’m so serious.
— I believe there is a minimum for card transactions. Support small businesses and try to pay in cash.
— You can pay for your sandwich while they are still in the process of making it. Just bring your ticket to the register.
— A few items worth a little bit of attention: Kix cereal, sriracha sauce, lambrusco wine, shot-​sized red cups, and pregnancy tests!

Stopped by for lunch and ordered a roast beef with double meat and all the fixings on rosemary sourdough. Incredibly delicious! The meat was Boar’s Head, so it was of high quality. The vegetables were all hand cut upon order and extremely fresh. Great experience overall. This will be my go to place for deli sandwiches.

Come here every time for my last minutes needs. It seems like they always carry something need, which makes it awesome. Boars sandwiches are bomb too!

I buy, my co-​workers fly, Today I went to pick up my self. Food is always great can’t go wrong with their deli food. Guy at front is really nice & the girl making sandwich is really nice. I did notice a lot of selection of beer & wine but I’ll be stopping by to get something sooner than later. Dont underestimate this place.

Service here is great. The staff is friendly and don’t make you feel watched while you’re mulling over what type of craft beer or wine you wanna buy. It’s a small place but selection is wonderful. The sandwiches are made fresh to order and they definitely aim to please based on their portion sizes.
They also carry all the typical quick, convenient staples you might need (milk, lemon, mac n’ cheese, spam, soy sauce, sour cream). The clincher for me is they have Talenti gelato ice cold right at checkout to satisfy my occasional sweet tooth.

Pickle deli in North Park @ Monroe’s Market makes amazing sandwich’s. My favorite sandwich is the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. The guy’s & deli staff are super nice and friendly. I am a repeated customer here. Worth coming here every time.

Excellent customer service, much improved storefront and interior, amazing craft beer selection and now Boarshead Deli sandwiches !!! OMG !!! Best sandwiches for miles and the bread (Bread&Seed) all delightful selections. Get in and get some you won’t regret it !!!

This place has really stepped it up. Their selection of craft beer and wine has greatly expanded, in addition to craft soda and delicious teas. They also carry random household product and food items to get you by in a pinch. I am always warmly greeted when I come here, which is a big factor in why this has become my go — to neighborhood market. That and that amazingly delicious deli sandwiches they build to order using Boar’s Head products. Yum!

Swung by this place to grab a water and realized they now sell deli sandwiches! Holy moly. I had the Italian sandwich w. Salami pepperoni and ham. SO GOOD. Every ingredient was fresh. Not to mention the meat was delish. I love the attitude of the owner he was so nice and welcoming! I will definitely be coming back to try another sandwich! Can’t wait!

Wow! What a difference a new owner can make! Awesome craft beer selection, a variety of wines, and a sandwich deli too! And the real plus for our area is Teddy, the store owner, he is more than willing to carry just about anything one asks for. I love the out door seating, the flower boxes, the ice machine etc. It feels like Teddy really wants this to be a quality neighborhood store. We welcome Mornore’s Market to University Heights!!!

Not sure what the first review was about because Teddy (the owner) doesn’t strike me as that kind of guy. He’s always been very cool and friendly. Does Sue have anything positive to say? She has 4 reviews and all of them are negative. Why don’t you contribute something positive to Unilocal!Anyway, I might be biased because this market is right on my street, but I genuinely like Monroe’s and I don’t hand out 5 stars to everyone! Teddy and his staff are super friendly, it’s got a good craft beer selection, a good wine section and now that it’s opened a deli with Boar’s Head… it’s even better.
