Went here with a group of girlfriends for brunch, about 6 of us. Food was good. The service was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were being served by «Jared», an easily overwhelmed, neurotic a-hole. I arrived when our party was being served their drinks, so I waited for Jared to finish with everyone and take my order. He didn’t. After everyone’s drinks were done and Jared not in sight, I finally got up to go find a server. Found Jared, got a finger, a «smile» and a «one second!». He came back and explained the Bottomless $ 8 drink RULES. Took our food orders and was pretty much without incident for the rest of the meal. Partly because we didn’t see him again until he delivered the check. Snarky, rude, and an attitude that just oozes condescending arrogance. Why this man is in the service industry, I don’t know. I’ll never come back here, and will go out of my way to tell family and friends to stay away. Already steered my family away from having a Sunday brunch or two here. I shudder to think of them treating someone like my mother or grandmother this way.

This location/place is actually closed for remodeling. Their answering machine does not state they are closed and the only way I discovered that they are indeed closed, is from the sign at their front door. I gave them one star for their poor notification skills to customers. At least change your voicemail to state you are closed for remodeling.

Arrived here yesterday night and they were closed. Did this place close down? Called and got an answering machine. Disappointing because a great space and North park is lively.

Yikes! Typically, there is nothing that annoys me more than Unilocal reviews that go on and on about service. Unfortunately, our latest experience at Mosaic was THAT bad, that I’m taking the time to do to exactly that. I’ll start by saying that the food was fine, nothing special but adequate. Also, I’ve been to Mosaic multiple times and had a solid experience. Unfortunately, the latest visit was so awful, that I can say with confidence, I’ll never be back. Business 101 is that your customers are your greatest asset. Upon arrival, it was clear that the staff on hand didn’t understand this concept. Our large party, was greeted with immediate attitude and told we would be seated when«more» of the party had arrived. As if all 18 people were going to walk in simultaneously. In an effort to avoid standing around awkwardly, we sat down in the area where they said we would be seated. We slid a few tables together, and we’re immediately scolded for doing so. Then we just waited, no «can I start you with some drinks?», nothing. Once our party arrived in its entirety, we were met with a tone of sheer inconvenience. It was brutal. Hopefully, our waitress was having a bad day, otherwise she is just simply in the wrong industry. Anyways, just skip this place and go to the great restaurant next door, or across the street.

Worst Birthday Brunch ever! Service was so horrible. Called 3 days ahead of time to reserve for my birthday and when we got there they didn’t have the tables prepared at all. Waitress was so rude, made us uncomfortable and acted as though we were inconveniencing her when she wasn’t doing her due diligence of her job(i.e offering water and bring silverware). Food was great, though. Sad because the place has a lot of potential.

Sunday brunch is typically a joyful occasion, especially when celebrating a girlfriend’s birthday; however that was not the case at Mosaic. We were greeted with a server that was clearly in an awful mood and it seemed as though our mere presence was an inconvenience to her. A reservation was made days in advance, but they still refused to put tables together to accommodate our party… we then tried to do it ourselves and we were quickly scolded because«the floors scratch easily.» Our server was quick to drag the table back(do the floors scratch when she drags the table?)… Bottom line… we were a group of 14 ready to spend plenty of money. The bottomless mimosas were flat, the sangria tasted like bad fruit punch, the service was anything but good, and we were still charged a 20% gratuity fee. When we asked to speak to management about the service, the«manager on site» felt no remorse for his horrendous waitstaff, smiled, and walked away. He was rude and downright disrespectful. There are so many awesome establishments to spend your money on in San Diego… don’t waste your Sunday here.

Came here on a Saturday around 11:30am for their bottomless mimosas, sangrias or proseccos for like $ 8. You can’t switch between the 3 options but if you share w your friends, they aren’t strict about that at all. The service was pretty slow. We waited about 30 minutes for our frittatas but since we had our drinks it was okay but we were pretty hungry! The frittatas we also okay. I got the Morely bird and didn’t taste any of the feta cheese… Or much of anything but the egg. The bacon was very crispy(although I’m not a bacon person) but gave it to my friends who liked it. Overall I’d go back more so for the drinks, which they were pretty good about refilling. Additionally, the proseccos and sangrias weren’t too sweet.

I had a very good time here. I tried the red wine flight called«try something new» and ended up getting a glass of zin. I ordered the cheese and meat plate, it was very good although I with the cheese slices were thicker. They were out of 2 champagnes in the champagne flight, I would have tried that. They place was not busy at all! We were the only people there on Saturday night.

Arrived around 6:20p. 10 minutes before happy hour ended. Saved a few bucks on the food but the Sangria is not«happy hour» priced. Not very crowded for a Friday so we were able to get a seat near the railing close to the sidewalk for people watching. Always fun to do in North Park :) Service was pleasant and quick. The Sangria was tasty and the food was good.(Olives and Hummus tapas and a Mushroom & Brie Flatbread). It was a very enjoyable date night experience. The place is pretty big. As you go further in, you will find a nice long wine bar with a bottle shop next to it. Will defiantly be on the look out for future wine tasting events.

The service was horrible here. We were the only big party in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. There were possibly two other tables with parties of two. We were severed water once through the whole three hours we were there. Also, when more of our party showed up we asked for water for them and the server said, yea it will be awhile. Seriously? Its water, I know there is a drought in California but drinking wine = dehydration. Hook up the H2O please. This place recieved one star because some of the food was good like the balsamic asparagus and the kale salad. But for the price of food to service and quality, I would rather go visit a more friendlier and accommodating wine bar for our next birthday bash celebration.

This review is for sunday brunch. Pros: — Private parking lot for customers — unlimited your choice of mimosas, sangria, or preach prosecco for $ 8 — outdoor open patio I would give them 3.5 stars if I could because I felt the food was just OKAY. I ordered the morley field bird fritatas and I don’t remember what was in it(blame it on the alcohol HAHA) but I think it was artichoke and chicken. I didn’t feel like anything soon out in flavors and my fritata came kinda warmish cold I was expected it to be hot. I noticed that because my potatoes was warm as well. This place is a great place to have casual brunch with friends but everyone needs to be 21 to enter. I would recommend this place if you want a good time with drinks and do not care too much for the food. Get the peach prosecco if you want something refreshing.

This is a review for the weekend brunch. We came last Sunday around 11:45a to a fairly empty restaurant. My first impressions were that it was very cute, cool neighborhood, open patio, beautifully décor’ed(it is a wine bar after all) and $ 8 bottomless mimosas are a real bargain. The menu is limited during brunch but frittatas and waffles were excellent and reasonably priced. Even long after we paid our bill, our waiter still came around refilling our drinks. I would absolutely recommend it for a casual weekend brunch date. Minus one star for no air conditioning inside and the no substitutions rule even if you are willing to pay a little more. TIP: Everyone in your party must be 21! The waiter asked to see everyone’s IDs and I told him I wasn’t drinking since I was the DD. He said it didn’t matter– it’s a wine bar.

I know it’s weird when someone says«the pizza was bad» because well, could pizza ever be bad? After my visit here, I can say yes, pizza can be bad. I’m no zaza snob, I’m just a pretty normal person who’s not picky when it comes to zaza. This was 2.5 star zaza for sure. The place itself is super cute and clean with an indoor-outdoor feel and they have a wonderful wine and drink selection with happy hour deals, but I wouldn’t come back for food(which means I wouldn’t come back because yuh girl loves to eat). Aside from the pizza, we also got a sub-par appetizer — a crab dip with pita chips. It was small and whatever. I would come back for the happy hour drink and wine deals, and maybe walk next door to Leftie’s for some deep dish. I feel bad giving three stars… I’m not a three star person. But I told myself I should start writing more reviews… So.

I ordered a monte cristo sandwich and I wanted to throw it across the room. ONE slice of ham. ONE slice of turkey. Something white they call cheese and the worst part, its served on two inch thick sponge like bread, so it may as well be called«Bite into a grease soaked» sandwich. I understand its a fried sandwich and I never eat something like that, but when you advertise a monte cristo, you need to come correct. What I was served for brunch was a heart attack waiting to happen by dinner time. The service was whatever. not disappointed nor impressed. My girl seemed to have enjoyed her«Hungry man» frittata but nothing I couldnt have done better at home. Youre supposed to go dine out for the experience and a dish out of the ordinary. Im not sure if its like this every day of the week, but if its not, that means they are on «Fuck All» mode because they are dealing with most just bottomless mimosa patrons on Sundays. This place got my hopes up and shattered them completely.

This place is a waste of time and money. I was with a group of friends and we’re all servers and bartenders so this pains me. 1. The food is overpriced and is meh. The club sandwich is $ 12 and had one slice of turkey on it. It’s super skimpy. The fritattas are bland as well. We all ordered different dishes and no one was impressed with any aspect of them. 2. The bottomless red and white sangria taste gross. Definitely not homemade and if they are making them they should look up what goes in sangria. 3. The service sucked. Spilled sangria on my friends lap. We sat with empty glasses too often. Etc. Coming here has no point with so many other good spots down the street. Save your time and money. Sorry.

I was first introduced to Mosaic during a Taste of North Park event a few years ago, and I loved their flat breads! Now I always hop over from the Blue Foot during happy hour for a morsel. So delicious, great prices and portions. I would like to give a huge thanks/shout out to Jared who is ALWAYS in the best mood, so helpful and makes my few moments there such a great experience. Thank you for being awesome! Would recommend!

I have to admit, I’ve only been twice, but both times, have had such great service! Both times, I was in large groups and everything arrived promptly and tasted great. The first time, I ordered a white pizza with anchovies and it was amazing! Great crispy thin crust and wonderful flavor. I can’t remember what red the table ordered, but it was a nice cabernet. My second visit, we only ordered dessert — ridiculously enormous! One dessert fed 5 women — 3 brownies full of rich chocolate chunks in a row topped with ice cream, caramel, and nuts = yum! And we had 3 of them! I also ordered the hard cider– delicious, but a mistake with the dessert — way too much sugar. As far as ambiance, it was perfect, great lounge seating for large parties and cool art. Wait staff was very charming, fast and accomodating. And a bonus in North Park– a private parking lot for customers! A total must — especially at their location near the intersection of Upas and 30th.

Been driving by Mosaic for a few years now and always consider stopping in. This year I was looking for a spot for my team Christmas party. After a bit if consideration I landed on Mosaic. They were very accommodating as I originally made the reservation for 13… then 15… then 17. The only think is I don’t understand what their answering machine doesn’t have a greeting. I’d call during the day time when they are closed and leave a message but the message is generic so I’d always wonder if it was them. Fortunately they were always prompt at calling me back. When we arrived they sat us up in the front area which was nice because were were by ourselves. I ordered us a few pitchers and some cheese and meat plates to start along with hummus and a few other dips. Jared was our waiter for the evening. He checked on us all throughout the night and was quick to take care of us. For our food we had the fries, calamari and a variety of pizzas: New York style, shrimp pesto, 5 cheese, pepperoni, Gorgonzola artichoke. The Gorgonzola artichoke pizza was freaking amazing! Even the 5 cheese pizza was probably one it the best cheese pizzas I’ve ever had. We enjoyed countless bottles of wine from their wide variety of options and topped off the night with a champagne toast and dessert. Jared was so helpful. He poured the glasses of champagne and we passed them out to each of our employees. For dessert I ordered a few of their hot brownie sundaes and chocolate cake. The group loved them. All in all Mosaic was a wonderful location for our holiday party. Jared was amazing and attentive and really made the night for us. If I were to make any critiques I’d say update your answering machine message to actually say it’s Mosaic. And lastly, explain to me your $.05 wine sale. I totally understand that $.05 wines are not eligible to be purchased for a corkage fee for dine-in. But how come I can’t buy the associated $.05 bottles to take home. Follow my math for a sec… Take-out person buys a $ 27 bottle of wine and gets a second for $.05. I bought the same $ 27 bottle for dine-in plus the $ 5 corkage fee. If I want to take home that same bottle after dinner I have to spend $ 27 more dollars. Recap 2 bottles for the take-out guy $ 27.05… Me, $ 59 for one at dinner then one to take home. Anyway… Not a showstopper, just one thing that didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

All you can drink mimosas, sangria, OR Sparkling peach prosecco for $ 8. You can only pick one though(no switching drinks) and you have to buy food with it. First off, they have their own parking lot right next to the restaurant. Second love the atmosphere. The restaurant is huge! However when they seated us, the seat was dirty. I’m still not sure what it was but I think it might have been candle wax and it was all over the floor too. So we just switched tables. Service was pretty great overall but when our waitress first came by to get our order, I got the vibe that she was very impatient and maybe even annoyed. However, she got better as the meal went on. I ordered the Morley field bird frittata. It came with 2 bacon slices and potatoes as a side. I didn’t really like the frittata. It was too dry and I couldn’t really even tell I was eating chicken. It also came with thick toast but that toast was literally swimming in butter. Now the important part… Mimosas and prosecco or sangria! I chose prosecco and my friend chose mimosa. Both were in huuuuge glasses and they were very good about keeping it filled. Prosecco not too sweet and mimosa just had the right amount of bubbly. I would still recommend this place especially for the bottomless drinks. Next time I might just stick with a waffle though!

I came by for their Sunday brunch. I had one of their frittatas that they are famous for. Specifically, the hungry man frittata with their homemade breakfast sausage, garlic and parsley potatoes, and thick hearth toast. Unknown to me, the meal also came with a few slices of bacon.( ) The frittata was quite nice. It had great color from the cooking process, and came with plenty of homemade sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, but it could of used more smoked gouda and mozzarella cheese.( ) The sausage had a nice mild flavor and the mushrooms were well cooked. The whole frittata was well seasoned. The potatoes were okay. However, I was unable to detect the garlic and parsley flavor. They were cooked properly, but they needed seasoning and some flavor.( ) The hearth toast was good, but I was not in favor of the spread they used. I figured they would use natural butter, but it was some kind of margerine spread.( ) The bacon was really good. Although, they do not smoke it on the premises, it had a nice smokey flavor. It had good texture and chewy. It could of been a little more crispy however.( ) The service was pretty good. I arrived before the brunch rush, so there were not a lot of people there yet. My server was nice and came back to check on me several times.
