Navy Federal Credit Union

If you value ATM cash deposits as I do, you should know the reliability is spotty at best. Not all Navy Fed ATMs accept deposits and those that do are hit and miss. I frequently have to drive across town to another branch to make my deposits and it’s getting old. Their APRs and APYs are nothing spectacular and rather standard as far as credit unions go but their teller lines are well beyond standard. Be prepared for extraordinary waits at all branches all the time. Our Military and DoD members deserve better!

My bank is better then yours. Fast quick service people are always friendly an helpful. There’s nothing bad to say about this place. I am glad to bank w Navy Federal. Thanks to my love Veronica who hooked me up with this bank. Love you baby!

I am really annoyed with the service at this place. This is the 5^th time I’ve come here and the ATM says «temporarily out of service.» I confronted an employee about it and she said «oh well there’s nothing we can do.» I guess they are too big to care about their customers.
I also had some issues with fraud on my credit card. After an hour long phone conversation, the lady told me to come to a branch and they would help me fill out the fraud affidavit. I came in, waited in line for 30 min, and they had no clue what I was talking about. The lady told me just to call the 1 – 800 number back. It was a big headache and no one seemed to be on the same page. At first I received a letter saying they found no fraud. Then a month later they finally refunded the money and sent me another letter saying they did find fraud!
I am not happy with Navy Federal at all, especially this branch!

If you do your banking with Navy Federal Credit Union and you live in the South Bay, then you know that the two major bank locations (Imperial Beach and Eastlake) has lines that are super slow and always long (I hear you saying «yes» :P). Well, I really didn’t want to post this on Unilocal,because I wanted this little NFCU gem to be kept under the radar (haha) BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? This place deserves recognition for great customer service and awesome staff efficiency! This place is small, and sure the nail salon’s fumes from next door can be overwhelming at first, but it’s worth the trip if you want to get your banking errands done super quick by quality staff. you’re welcome!
