the second time I visited this place. they alway do the great job. my laptop has been fixed in a short time so that my study is not interrupted with the price equivalent to ¹⁄₃ of price of Fry or Best Buy charge but the most important is the quality is guaranteed. it is a great place for students who need to repair their laptop with the resonable price and guaranteed quality.

Outstanding service here. They really know their stuff. I brought my old desktop tower and my all in one PC. I couldn’t believe they’ve gotten them up and running so quickly. I’ll definitely return with my laptops and I recommend that anyone with any computer problems come here first!

UPDATE 9÷6÷15: The person that I referred to in the original review as the owner is in fact not the owner but just an employee. I stand by my previous review of the EMPLOYEE. The owner worked hard to reach a resolution that was amicable for both parties.

Stay away from this place. Took my two year old desktop in here based on the excellent reviews. The owner doesn’t understand the difference between software versus hardware issues. I suspected a hardware problem, told him to check hardware, called me back same day telling me he fixed it. He told me it was an OS issue. Which made no sense to me based on the symptoms. Challenged him on it, kept being told software. I had never agreed to the fix in the first place, just the diagnostic. Never got a quote after specficly telling him to let me know what was wrong with it before proceeding. But hey he fixed it for only 30 bucks so what was the harm. My thought process was if it fails again then I take it back since I was only spending 30 bucks. And take it back I did, within an hour of taking it home, it blue screened on me. Again told that it was the software I was installing. No charge for the second fix. Day 3 computer will not boot. Had my dad take it back to him since dad wanted to fix it to save money versus buying a new computer. I on the other had had come to the conclusion that this guy was horrible at diagnostic.
My dad takes it in. Without me and was going to deal with the owner since I had been main contact person. He tells him at least twice to just diagnose and not perform any work until he, as the customer agreed to the fix. A day later owner called back and said it was the video card so he had REPLACED the video card. Oh by the way, he did not call to get the OK from my dad to do the work. He was only supposed to diagnose. This time it was 75. My dad pays it. Get it home and take it back 5 mins later since it will not boot. Some KB error. He had replaced the graphics card and told him to use the integrated graphics for better performance. If you know one thing about computers, a discrete GPU is always better then the onboard graphics. Also he did not provide documentation such as a receipt on the card he installed. So as of this writing, it is back at his shop.

These guys are insane. You want it fixed? You want it fast? You want it cheap? This is the place. No nonsense. No frills. Bring it in, drop it off. By the time you make it home, they call you and say it’s fixed.

Don’t let the storefront (or lack of) fool you. This is one of the best businesses I’ve ever dealt with. I brought an old, sick laptop in for repair, and got a great machine back, and spent almost nothing. He did a lot of additional work too. Thank you!

Man! Well done, NC Tech! Seriously! These guys will take it personally if they can’t fix your computer (laptop or desktop) within an hour. I will admit that *I* messed up and didn’t look far enough into their location (they ARE inside a nail salon on 4745 University Ave), but I AM glad I went back for another look! These guys had my laptop fixed within two days [as promised] and for only $ 100. They know what they’re doing and they’re reasonably priced! I got the recommendation off of Unilocal!too and am glad that I went to see ‘em. They fix your equipment, tell you what was wrong with it to begin with, and make sure it works before you leave. I definitely and highly recommend the guys down at NC Tech. It’s worth the trek over there and the 5-o’clock traffic IF you get stuck in it. They care about the job you’re paying them to do! That’s a fact, Jack! They’re definitely worthy of the 5 STARS that I’m giving them! Thanks, NC Tech.

These guys are fantastic!
My roommate spilled milk on my laptop last week and the keyboard started having all kinds of issues. I took it in to NC Tech and they told me they could order a new keyboard and replace it for $ 75 total! Another place I took it to estimated $ 180 or more, and when I called the computer manufacturer, they told me it could be upwards of $ 300.
NC Tech finished the job 2 days before they had told me they would and I’m now happily using my own computer again!
The shop isn’t anything fancy; it’s literally in the back door of a nail salon. It’s also cash only. They are friendly, but didn’t have great English speaking skills. That being said, they know what they’re doing when it comes to computer repair and charge less than anywhere else I’ve found.
I would definitely recommend NC Tech for any computer repair needs!

These guys are fast. They fixed my problem for half the price the others were charging in one day flat and the honored the Unilocal discount. Its not much to look at (in the back room of a nail salon) but they more than make up for it in service.

These guys saved my life!
I brought them in 2 laptops that were FRIED; 1 just made noise and the other had the blue screen of death.
They performed a free diagnosis on the spot and quickly had a solution for one. The next day they called me and said they saved the other!
Very reasonable prices, i was out of there for less than $ 100 for both! Including new hardware and a fresh copy of windows!
Before you go and buy a new computer, take your old one to these guys!
