Great service, when she didn’t have my color and I picked another color, she said, don’t buy it if you don’t love it, you can get the one you want elsewhere. That’s service with integrity and why I’ll never buy another bike elsewhere. Great place!

I bought my wife a bike here on a whim and found the staff friendly and helpful. They had the type of bike she wanted and let her ride it around the parking lot to test it out. The Unilocal deal I saw was that you get a free bell with a bike purchase. It turns out the bell is a piece of crap pulled out from a box in the back storeroom. I know it’s just a bell but if you’re going to offer it, make sure it’s of quality because your reputation still hinges on the products you have in your store. It’s not worth my time to go back and exchange it. But if you take advantage of the deal after buying your nice new bike, check the bell’s quality.

This is the third bike shop I went to today, and by far the best experience. Josh was so helpful, kind, and helped me get exactly what I was looking for. Great customer service, I will be recommending this place. Worth the drive from Oceanside!

Never have taken the time to write a review BUT I feel Heather and Dan deserve a shout out for such a very pleasant experience. From reservations online to Dan adjusting our time for pick up. great experience from start to finish… They showed up on time for delivery and pick up of bikes… the bikes where in great shape and added so much fun to our pb trip… thanks again. Dan, PB Bikes Owner, contacted me via Unilocal after he read my disappointed tune up review on 06÷27÷15. He apologized for the outcome of the service and would have felt the same way if he was in my shoes. Dan was super nice and gave me a full refund along with a gift certificate for me to use for a future tune up or bike accessories at his shop.
Even though my first tune up experience at PB Bikes was not a pleasant one, having Dan contact me personally to address/​fix the issue has left me as a satisfied and valued customer. For Dan to spend his time following up with customers and strive to make sure everyone (during or after their visit to the shop) are happily taken care of shows amazing, top-​notch customer service and management.
With that said, I am happy to go back to PB Bikes for accessories and repair/​maintenance services in the near future. Many thanks, Dan!

I was at a store nearby and saw the bikes in front of this store. I’ve been in the market for a beach cruiser but had a few bad experiences. I looked at some of the bikes and was greeted right away. The guy that was helping me was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I wasn’t planning on buying a bike that day but the deals here caught my attention. One bike caught my eye and was a great price. The bikes here are really well put together. Once I decided to purchase the bike I looked it a basket which they were more than happy to install. They even adjusted the seat and handle bars to the right height.
I didn’t have a vehicle to get the bike home so I asked if I could buy it and pick it up in a few days. They were very accommodating which was nice. I even got a free bike bell with my bike purchase. If I have any mechanical issues with the bike I can bring it back to them for a year and they will take care of it. Great people and great quality.

Visiting from Tucson, Arizona and my family and I Wanted some beach cruisers for the day. SIRI led us to this cute shop to rent bikes at an AFFORDABLE PRICE!!!
The owner, Heather, was quite friendly and the customer service was superb!

This place was great. We came in here late in the day around 5pm and the guy helping us was so nice. He set us up with two cute red beach cruisers and said we could keep them for a few hours for $ 10. Not bad. We had a great day cruising up and down the beach and around the bay. We will come back here for the nice service and effortless rental. Thanks!

Julian super nice and helpful, you can tell he loves what he does. I took one bike in for a tune up and another bike in with a warped wheel. They had both done super fast and even replaced the wheel last minute! I was expecting to be charged a LOT extra since there were problems with the rear derailer and the mechanic had to make all kind of adjustments but it was still a deal. I can’t see taking my bikes anywhere else.

Awesome experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the pricing was great, and they even picked the bikes up when we were done with them. Highly recommended!

These guys are great. The place across the st, Pacific Coast bikes, told me without even looking at my bike that they wouldn’t be able to take it for 5 days so they recommended these guys. Took my bike in and the guys spent 2 mins looking at it, 2 mins tightening a screw and giving it some oil, and wam bam thank you ma’am, out the door free of charge! Sorry pacific coast you just may have lost yourselves a customer!

Heather is fantastic, let me tell you!
I live in Chicago and really want a State bike. The State website is sold out and they said they would be receiving a shipment in two days but that shipment is already sold out. They said it would take 6 – 8 weeks until I would get my bike! Mind you, this is after waiting two weeks for a neighborhood bike shop to let me know when they can get my bike in.
So, i’m fed up and search for my specific bike online and run into the Pacific Beach Bikes website. I called the store to make sure it was a legit business and off the bat, I could tell Heather is a total sweetheart!
They had one bike in my specifications on the floor they could send me very quickly or she gave me the option of waiting for a brand new one to be shipped, but I would have to wait a week.
She can get me a bike no one else in Chicago even tried to get for me?! Customer service! It’s common sense, people!
My bike is on its way from State and I am very happy to help out a business that actually put effort into helping me.

This bike shop is in the cvs shopping center. I like the fact that there is a parking lot so you don’t have to worry about finding parking
I recently went here not knowing what bike I wanted. My husband did a little research before coming so he did ask Dan a few questions regarding which bikes they had in stock. Dan was really helpful in answering our questions and he spent a good amount of time with us. He let me ride the bikes around so I can decide which one I wanted. He went over different color options and discussed the prices if we wanted to order a bike that the store didn’t have in stock.
I ended up buying a bike that they had in stock. There was a gash on one of the tire rims and he made sure to change it out. He also cleaned up my handle bars because there was a bit of stickiness on it. You get a bell when you check into Unilocal,and he gladly put the bell on for me. He also helped us put the bike in my car.
There is also a 1 year warranty on the bike.
Overall, I had a great experience here. I would highly recommend this place. Thanks Dan!

Purchased a new single speed road bike here, was very pleased not only with my purchase but the entire process was very enjoyable. Definitely recommended for any bicycling needs, look for their truck with the flag on garnet to find shop easier…

A+ experience: The go-​to bike shop in Pacific Beach.
I went in to see if they could help me determine why my brake pads were misaligned on my new bike. Dan looked at it and immediately saw the problem. He said it was the brake mount on the frame that was crooked and either I could buy adjustable brake pads from him or the brake itself could be tweaked a millimeter with a wrench. Since it was such a quick fix he offered to do it for me for free and in 30 seconds, he got my brake working.
Then he glady answered many questions I had about my bike. Just a kind human being and also passionate about bikes.
On top of the great service, they have an awesome product selection: specifically nice fixies and accessories that you wont find in most San Diego bike shops.

Went there two weeks ago to get a bike.
Left with a 6KU and love it. Great service all around.

and help me out. Will be doing my bike shopping with them for sure.

Soo, I didn’t buy a bike here because they didn’t have the color combo I was looking for but they had exactly what my bf was looking for. The guy that helped us was very helpful and was totally straight forward. I was hesitant about a certain bike cruiser at the store and the guy said if you have even a little doubt about your choice, don’t get it. I really respect the service given at this store and at least my bf was able to get a bike. Nice selections on cruisers for men and women, they’ll even let you test cruise any bike you’d like. Handful of cruisers were on sale for about $ 150.
