fresh, hot, cooked perfectly, professional delivery folks… not sure what more you would want in pizza delivery. I have never had any problems with any of the orders I have placed for delivery from this location. They always have coupons out and if you don’t mention a coupon, they automatically apply it to your order.

Epic failure over and over and over again. I have ordered from this place at least 20 times over the last couple years. Each and every time I get the same consistent poor service. Hour and half or longer for delivery, cold pizza, missing(paid for) items, and lots of excuses. Today is the last time I’ll be ordering from this place. I just ordered online and got the email stating 30 – 40 minutes for delivery. It came 77 minutes later cold. I’ve called and spoken to management before but they do not even apologize or act like they care. I’m not wasting another 5 minutes on hold, and then more time telling a 13 year old how to run a business. The owner of this store needs a wake up call.

The order could not have been more screwed up even if they tried. The pizza was undercooked, we were missing items ordered and it took hours to receive. We contacted the local store to correct the problem who referred us to corporate who blew us off. I am willing to give 5 stars if a problem is corrected.

How long should a below average pizza take to be delivered 5 minutes from the store? Not 1 hour and 30 minutes. Estimate was 30 – 40 minutes. The reviews on Unilocal for this location were mostly negative, but I believe in giving every business the opportunity to prove their critics wrong. Unfortunately, this Papa Johns managed to prove them right. We just moved here and we will certainly be looking for another pizza place. Pizza: Doughy, cold and scarce toppings Delivery: 1 hour 30 minutes(and not during busy hours) Suggest: Go elsewhere

Placed a delivery order to my work at 1834hrs. I’m still waiting up to now… One star because I had to. Otherwise it would be zero. Last time I order from this place.

Great service. Came in to order pizza and were prompt and kept us updated as we were sitting and waiting for it. A tall skinny guy, I think his name was nick helped us and was great. He asked if we needed anything and right when our pizza was ready, stopped what he was doing to make sure we got our pizza. Plus 7.99 for a large is awesome

Ha! Lol… The slogan of papa johns is join our family. No way! No how! I have never had someone on the phone handle an errand order on their end more rudely and it was all over some garlic knots(minimal cost items). Who said customer service is dead? Papa Johns that who. Taking my business elsewhere and sharing on my social(lol… Did I mention I run a social media agency…) #poorservice #sandiegofood #papajohns

Unfortunately, just like the others, a very bad experience. I should have checked Unilocal before ordering but happened to be nearby, thought I would come in and order and they would honor their online specials, but the cashier could only say«I can’t do that» to just about everything, which was only about ordering a pizza, so off to Dominos.

I had a good experience when I went to this store, they were short on staff so my pizza took longer than first expected. After some time waiting and a bit of frustration build up, I spoke to the assistant manager who was able to take care of my needs. Aaron Smith calmly explained that they were short on staff and had a surplus of orders come in at once. He apologized for the inconvenience and promptly made my large pizza shortly after. I appreciate his service and commitment to the company and the time he took to calmy explain the situation at hand. Thank you for turning this situation around for the better, 5 stars and thumbs up!

I know it’s a chain, but that is I expect fast. It is know 1 hour and 15 mins after I placed my order for pick up and still no pizza. Oh by the way, why isn’t anybody making pizza?

We all know that, at best, chain pizza is almost always average. However, this Papa John’s pizza was disappointing and failed to meet my low expectations. Why did I order? This place is close, I was hungry and wanted quick food. With certainty, my online order for pickup, was not correct. Online, I substituted one meat(beef for pepperoni). This was the only change. I checked to see if the single substitution changed the price and it did not. This is why I confirmed exactly what was being ordered before finalizing the order. Interestingly, the online receipt that was subsequently e-mailed to me said pepperoni, but this is definitely NOT what was reflected BEFORE checkout. Possibly, my one meat substitution was reflected online, but for some reason, not processed. There is no explanation for the oddly flavored sauce. The pizza was prepared WITH pepperoni and evidently BBQ sauce. I couldn’t tell. The pizza had a vinegar taste that was unidentifiable. There are only two sauce options and it was not marinara sauce. If the pizza had approached average quality and taste, I would not have bothered to Unilocal these comments. All, I expected was average quality, fast food. However, it was not prepared as ordered and had an unusual taste for pizza. Additionally, the store did not look clean. I will not order here again. UPDATE, because this was a poor value, I tried to unsubscribe to the Papa John’s e-mails. Instead, there is an error message saying, «I’m sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.» Evidently, it is not possible to get the order correct, average quality food, OR even to unsubscribe from Papa John’s e-mails. Terrible and Disappointing!

Chains don’t tend to get as many reviews as other speciality stores. This place needs a review to go with the other negative reviews. They close at 9pm 7 days a week this includes weekends Friday through Sunday. I used to order and pickup all the time. I’m now searching for other places in the area as a 8:25pm pick up time for pizza isn’t acceptable. My business is going elsewhere as they close too early. I’ve had good pizzas and a few so so pizzas here.

I’ve ordered here several times, each time it’s gotten worse and worse! Here’s a checklist of what to expect: –cold pizza that you’ll have to reheat upon delivery, so get your microwave ready -«sorry I forgot your red peppers and parmesan» –don’t order the garlic bread, trust me. –over an hour wait for delivery –mass confusion if you order online so don’t do it. –they forget extra toppings you paid for, so don’t even bother –chicken poppers? More like disgusting low budget school lunch chicken nuggets I’m going to contact the own of this branch and complain personally. Out of the few times I’ve ordered from here, there has been an issue with my order every time.

Ordered 1 large pizza. I live a 10-minute walk away from them, but it took them 55 minutes to get it to me. When it got here, it was completely skimped of all ingredients and was so cold that I had to heat it up in my oven. Don’t know what I was expecting from Papa John’s…but at least a tiny bit better.

I was working within the plaza itself and was swamped. I decided to have them deliver it to me. I was in the same plaza that they were in, not even 400ft away. I called, placed the order and told the guy where I was and he was like, «Yeah, I’ll bring it to you in 15 minutes». It was a steak and cheese and a 2L Diet pepsi. I found it weird that he didn’t ask for a number or anything. Sure enough… It was weird. An hour later, I call back and they are clueless. I can hear them talking in the background and some other guy says that it hasn’t even been baked yet. If not mistaken, that place is dead all the time! I confirmed with the person I was talking to after having heard the other guy say it wasn’t even in the oven, to which he said, «Yeah, they didn’t make it.» I told him to cancel the order since I wasn’t going to wait for another hour or so then the worst : The guy didn’t have the decency to apologize, or anything and instead… «CLICK». He hung up on me even though I was nice to him the whole time. Whoever I spoke to needs to get a courtesy/etiquette book and read it cover to cover! Rude and totally uncalled for behavior. I am no fan of Papa John’s but it is the closest one to where I live. I am driving and taking my business elsewhere. I’m not surprised by the other reviews. This place shouldn’t even be in business.

i am not a fan of take out pizza. i prefer to make it at home… or go somewhere like Urban Pi… but sometimes you just gotta get some cheap pizza… like for a superbowl party… or when the kids have a group of friends over. Seriously… most kids don’t even taste what they are eating… they just eat it… if you call it pizza and put circles on it that look like pepperoni… they will eat it. my «go to» take out/delivery has been domino’s…they have so many crust/sauce options. i can create a darn good pizza here for cheap. lately my friends have encouraged me to check out papa johns… they are actually a bit cheaper and have so many opportunities for free pizza! so i ordered a couple o’ pies for delivery($ 4…eek!) when the kids had friends over. not bad… i like that they give you the option to cut your pizza in squares(better for kids). i did light sauce on both pies… then i did the«coin toss» game to win a free pizza… i submitted«heads»…hubby did«tails» so no matter what we would win a pizza…(i know i’m not the only one who figured this out). i guess every household in the country essentially earned a free pizza. Genius marketing because i not only ordered my free pizza… but ordered 2nd one… but this time i sent hubby to pick up.$ 4 is a bit steep for delivery. If i am ordering 10 pizza’s for a party. fine $ 4 …but for an $ 11 order… can’t justify that fee + tip. so now… they have me hooked. like a dealer… they gave me free pizza… and if i continue to order i can earn another free pizza… they are totally pizza dealers! i am a Unilocaler and i am a sucker for free food. oh no… are they going to start doing Unilocal check in offers??? i might start ordering pizza when I don’t even want it!

If I could give negative stars I would. MINUSHUNDREDS. I ordered online and left my direct line. having to feed some folks at the office. I applied all the proper steps to pick peppers. cheese topping. willing to pay the little extra… a salad. two liter soda. and somehow there was glitch in the computer system. The pizza order(the first thing ANY person would order from a PIZZAPLACE)… supposedly didn’t go through. They brought everything BUTTHEPIZZA. NOCALL. NONOTHING. Seriously?! I am just BAFFLED by the stupidity of this Papa Johns. They actually sent the driver out(who smelled like a homeless man and I was gagging over the plastic bag that reeked of his bad odor)… all the way to our office with everything BUTPIZZA. Here’s the unbelievable part… ****I**** called to make sure that the online order went through. «Yes it’s on its way!» … SERIOUSLY??? WHOTHEEFFCALLS A PIZZAPLACE … orders pizza toppings and everything else that would make for a nice pizza lunch… BUTNOPIZZA. ANDYOUCOULDN’T THINKOFASKING«Hey… by the way. we saw that you placed an order online but did not order a pizza.» I can’t even think of an excuse. Absolutely hands down NEVER ordering from this Papa Johns. Definitely writing corporate with every cent of my higher education to explain how horrible this place is and how I would recommend to the world that this specific Papa John’s needs to be shut down. NEGATIVEINFINITY. I wish I saw the horrible reviews before thinking of calling these guys. AVOIDATALLCOSTS.

I received extra special service tonight! My pizza arrived piping hot shortly after I placed my order. Unfortunately, I messed up when placing the order online and didn’t get exactly what I wanted. The delivery person confirmed that the error was mine(not necessarily the site’s fault). So I accepted the pizza. Before the pizza cooled-down enough for me to eat, Papa John’s CALLEDME to ask about my not being totally happy with the pizza. Then they offered to make me a new pizza as I wanted it. Winning! And I’ll tell you that it arrived before that first pizza got cold! Double Winning! I am Unilocaling my appreciation for this great customer service. PJ’s didn’t have to call me and make another pizza, and I am thankful that they did. The second pizza turned out perfect.
