Wow! It’s a really beautiful bakery store! The cakes are really fancy and the bakery are delicious!()

The wifey wanted red velvet and since I didn’t want to drive downtown for it we stopped here instead. I was dissatisfied that their red velvet was made with whipped cream instead of cream cheese. I believe if it were done properly with cream cheese and white chocolate they would have a winner. So I have a whole cake we bought yesterday and threw it in the trash cause it really ruined my taste for red velvet.

It was my dear friends birthday. I had to go to a reputable place. Paris baguette was our choice. Paris baguette is known for their amazing pastries and cakes. I purchased their blueberry chiffon. We cut into it and it was a disaster. These ass monkeys put together an incomplete cake and covered everything in cream in the hopes we would not notice. I noticed. They basically got all their leftover cake crumbling and placed them in a circular pattern. And then they sprayed jizz all over the gaps. My friend called them and complained. They knew they got caught so they offered a refund. A few minutes later they said no refund. I guess the guy, Jonathan, was pursuaded by his boyfriend to rescind that request. So in short, this Paris Baguette SD is run by a bunch of douches. Jonathan, is a huge douche.

I seriously hate this place. I used to like it and then it got super sheisty with all the good stuff in their pastries and cake. For example, their sweet potato bread has all bread and no sweet potato. Their chiffon cake has no cake and too much chiffon. Fail. Then we tried to tell the customer service about our disappointment with our birthday cake and all we got was ‘tude. No thanks. You know 85 degrees is down the street right?

So disappointed. Bought a blueberry chiffon cake. I have had many of these cakes in my life and have always been pleased. NOTTHISTIME! When we cut into the cake… We noticed that it was all cream with barely any cake. I immediately called Paris baguette to inform them of the insulting cake. Initially Jonathan tells me to come back for a new cake and a full refund. As I get ready to drive over… I get another call from Jonathan. All of a sudden… He can’t give me a refund… He can now give me 50% off. Why would I pay 50% for a bad cake? Paris baguette… You should be embarrassed. You risk your reputation for a $ 35 cake? 2 thumbs down. I will go to 85c next time.

Came in looking to see what kind of special dessert they have… Some interesting donuts, got the cream cheese donuts and sweet ride donut. No cronuts here, and I was not impressed with any of the donuts. The cream cheese one just tastes weird and the dough gets stuck in my teeth, very unenjoyable to eat. The sweet rice is a round donut ball with filling. Too sweet for me and the outside was covered with sugar so it was messy to eat. The place is very clean the people were nice.

I went here looking for a cronut :( I guess they ran out, we did go around 10:30am on a Thursday so maybe that’s not the best time to go. Also I didn’t like how most of the pastries were cold, it’s serve yourself so all the food is kept out away from any heat sources. The pastries I did have were just«ok» My iced chai latte was pretty good too

Can’t say much about the workers because all they do is ring us up. They are pretty nice, though. I love the Garlic Bread, Cream Cheese Donuts & the Cornets(Croissant Donut)!

This review is for the service I received at Paris Baguette, specifically the store manager Jeremy. I called a month ago and was promised by the store that they could deliver my wedding cake, even though it exceeded delivery zone. I drove from LA to the San Diego store to place the order. Jeremy was helpful at the time of visit — even promising to deliver the cake himself to uphold the store’s promise. He promised to follow up in a week to provide exact delivery charges as he needed to research to find a vendor that offered refrigeration delivery. A week past and there is NO follow up call. I called the store and of course, Jeremy is not working that day. The person handling the call is Jeremy himself, but he plays dumb. Regardless, the associate tells me to call back in another week. The story gets better… I call back and Jeremy answers the phone. He sounds surprised that I called to follow up. Startled and unable to find another excuse, Jeremy tells me that he is unable to deliver my wedding cake and gives me a roundabout excuse that my delivery location is beyond delivery zone and that the delivery truck is overbooked. WHAT?! Thumbs down to Jeremy and Paris Baguette’s Customer Service Dept.

I am a fan of Paris Baguette. They are located in Zion Market which makes for plentiful parking and easy access for a quick pastry fix. Like other Asian bakeries, you get a tray and tongs at the entrance and proceed to make selections from the two aisles of pastries. Their many options of sweet and savory pastries are a departure from everyday American bakeries. Although a few items didn’t work for me, the majority have been tasty. A good compliment is their ready made iced coffee.

Stopped by earlier today(Monday) around 9am. I decided I would try a soft bread(1.95), small coffee(2.50) for breakfast and one of their fancy looking sandwiches(5.95)for lunch. There were only a couple other patrons at this time. As I walked in I was greeted by a gentleman named Jeremy. Good start to my morning as I had just sat in traffic for 45 minutes. There was just so much to choose from. All the desserts and breads looked extremely appealing. The more I looked around the more everything seemed to call my name. «Apolo, you know you want me», «Hey stud, you want some of this?» I had to get the hec outta there. But not until I picked up something else, a cheesecake for my wife. Yes, for my wife. At the check out I asked for a small Americano. (Then it hit me, where else can a Latino walk into an Asian market, buy French pastries and order an Americano. Only in America. I digress.) Jeremy was very pleasant as he rang me up and explained a rewards program where you receive a 3% bonus on every purchase $ 5 and above. He signed me up and I was on my way. Once at work I opened the strawberry soft cake. This bread is not very pleasing to the eye. I was expecting a big dry clumpy texture. Also, usually when breads are packaged in plastic they do not have a paper lining underneath. Note to self, remember to remove the lining before gobbling it down next time. The lining was lacking in flavor, but the cake was as advertised, strawberry-check, cake-check, soft-double check. I was very pleased. Lunch time rolled around and it was time for my sandwich. I had grabbed the Combo Sandwich. Which consisted of 4 qtr sized sandwiches. 1) Tuna Salad(Walnuts, Almond, Cranberry, Celery, Onion) 2) Ham, Swiss Cheese 3) Egg Salad(Egg, Dijon Mustard, Mayo), Tomato, Cucumber 4) Sliced Strawberries, Strawberry Jam, Multi Grain on Fresh Cream Bread. While it is not very filling, it is a great change of pace sandwich that offers variety. I was satisfied. My wife was patiently waiting in our driveway for the cheesecake with fork in hand. After the first bite we realized it was not really what we were expecting. This was a round cheesecake bread. Still very good. But good to know. Overall: Great– soft cake, selection, décor, cleanliness and service. Good– sandwich and cheesecake(bread) NI– coffee(too weak) I will be back– so much more to try.

I usually go to 85 degrees when I want some sweet pastries, but I was already on Zion market so I thought id try this place for once. Everything is displayed so nicely! I have yet to try what I got, but so far so delicious. The cheese tart is perfect, not too overwhelming sweet. I also had a bite of a sweet red bean pastry, and it was so yummy! The crust and texture is absolutely perfect – just the right amount of flakiness. I can’t wait to try everything else :)

Not in love, but will give it a few more tries since there’s so much to choose from! I’ve tried a few items multiple times, but it doesn’t seem to be consistent. The macarons aren’t bad tho! For $ 2.50 a piece, the size isn’t bad at all. My favorite so far is the C R O N U T ! Lightly crispy with cream on top, not overly sweet.

I have yet to find a favorite bakery in SoCal, whether it be 85, Portos, of Paris baguette, but Paris baguette comes pretty close. They combine flavor with aesthetics perfectly. The bakery is definitely not as crowded or as inexpensive as other bakeries but the price you pay is worth it for the quality of baked goods you get. And since this location is right inside of Zion market, I never leave the market without stopping by Paris baguette! The pastries and breads here are so creative and displayed very well. They definitely take the extra time to make their baked goods more appealing and decorative, which I love. Getting a little box of these are a great gift for a pick-me-up, a congratulations, or a thank you. My favorite savory pastries are the curry croquette and he cheese pastry frank(they both taste amazing when warmed up). My favorite sweet ones… Well it’s hard to decide. The cronuts okay, not anything special. However I do love the bombolonis(Italian donuts) because they are cream filled with mascarpone-like filling which is the cheese used for cheesecake! They are to-die for! Sooooo yum! I also go for the sweet potato pie, apple cream cheese, and guava turnover. Yes, the guava turnover is comparable to Porto’s, I wonder who came up with it first? They also have pre packaged lunch sandwiches, like cranberry turkey, ham and cheese, tuna, egg salad… All your typical sandwiches from $ 5 – 8! Next time I want to try their coffees and teas. I usually don’t get the tea because boba bar is conveniently located inside of Zion too!

The French Korean Birthday Cake. It was a coworkers birthday and we were all treated to a cake from Paris Baguette. You get a whole kit of stuff when you order a cake, like a cake server. I suppose the fun part of buying a cake here are all the interesting cakes flavors you can get. We ordered the Blueberry Chiffon Cake. The blueberry cake inside tasted a bit like a blueberry muffin. The cream was fresh and the toppings were flavorful. In the end this cake was something different than a Costco cake which made this birthday event special.

Got two cakes: red velvet & berries. Total was $ 70. WORTHIT Also got 4 macaroons: coffee, chocolate, caramel & rose flavors. Maybe cause I grew up on Bottega Lousie’s(it’s in LA) macaroon, these weren’t that great. Our cashier, Andy was pretty cool great customer service.

I’m a fan of pastries and desserts. So I was excited when this Korean Franchise came to San Diego. However, no matter how many times I come here and think ill fall in love, sadly our taste bud relationships don’t work out. Don’t get me wrong, the cakes and pastries are visually stunning! All of my friends buy birthday and special occasion cakes solely on the fact that they’re really really pretty. But to me its way over-hyped. The cakes are always pretty but usually dry and without much taste. If you want a pretty cake at your celebration table this is great.(with taste lacking.) Also, the pastries are a bit over priced with not much selection compared to competitors in the area. I wish I could fall in love with Paris Baguette since its very popular in Korea. Just I guess for me its so-so.

I happen to be in the Zion Market and didn’t know they were located inside, so I figured while I was here I would check them out. It’s a small store but where they are small in size, they are large in variety and flavor! Like many other similar bakeries, they have all their baked goods out on display. You pick up a tray and a pair of tongs and start picking away. They have such a large variety, it’s impossible just to pick a couple so be prepared to buy for your office or hopefully you have a group of people to share with. I picked up a Raspberry Cheese Pastry, Twisted Donut, Mango Turnover, Chocolate Bread, and Mango Parfait. The desserts were fresh and incredibly delicious, but the best by far is the Chocolate Bread(Pain Aux Chocolate). So much chocolate in every bite and the bread is fresh. There is another well known bakery, 85° C and this place is very similar but if I had to make a choice, I’m going to have to go with Paris Baguette. They have many items that are similar to that at 85° but they also seem to have a greater variety with more taste in their pastries. And you just can’t top the Chocolate Bread here. And their prices are quite good. I will be back!

Happy to find one since I was craving for the cronut and picked up a few macarons for the kids. They have a lot of selections but I already knew what I wanted. I was in and out picking my treats but then the line held me there for a bit. The service was good but the line took about 10 minutes to pay for my treats. It’s good my hubby wasn’t getting impatient as he waited for me in the car but the line had to get a move on. Anyway, I probably came in during the rush hour or something but I will be back for my cronut craves.

There is a great variety of pastries at Paris Baguette. I love their chiffon cakes the most and I always get it by the slice. The chiffon cake is very light and I never feel that it is too rich. My favorites: Green Tea chiffon cake($ 4.25 a slice) Fresh Cream strawberry cake($ 4.25 a slice) bavarian filled croissant doughnut($ 3.50) Walnut Cream Cheese sweet bread($ 4) crème cheese puffs(varies in price) macarons($ 2.50 each) My only gripe here is that for whatever reason, people have no clue on where to stand in line to pay for their bake goods even though there is a solid blue ribbon divider alongside the register. I’ve had 3 different trips where I’m visibly standing in line by the blue ribbon and someone cuts straight to the register from the other side. Paris Baguette should post an obvious sign indicating the start of the line to cut out this constant confusion, especially amongst the clueless newbies(young and old alike).
