Two thumps up for drinks, and the music! Go shake it ;) I know I’ll be back again and again again

Loved the service, patrons and music! Reasonable prices, live music every night at 9pm. Glad we found this place!

I had heard very good things about this place and was very disappointed when I came. The bartender«Gary» was very rude and inappropriate. He annoyed people the whole time about not having cash and using their cards. He was also drinking behind the bar which I can understand to an extent but he was definitely past tipsy. Over all I was very unhappy with my experience.

Went there with a friend yesterday and have been here before. Great service for a small place. This little place is not fancy, but if ur looking for hole in the wall charm, this is it.

Loved the atmosphere! And even though it was super dark, it went with the theme! Loved the live music! It was a great environment and I will be back! Don’t get fancy drinks here though, we ordered an old fashioned(I hate them bc I hate bourbon and I was able to drink this drink bc it didn’t taste anything like a traditional old fashioned)! Other then the one«botched» drink it was an excellent experience! The service was good even with how crowded it got!

This place is amazing! It’s small and intimate and the live music is great!!! Was walking by on a Sunday evening and heard some fantastic music and had to walk in. A band called the Counterfits and wow, they were fantastic!!! Such a great place and I will be coming back and making Patrick’s a regular stop!

The bar is quite ordinary by any NYers standards. Wood bar, shelves stocked with your liquor of choice, a stage waiting for the local entertainment for the night. Ordinary UNTIL you’ve tried Gary’s Bloody Mary. They should rename it to the Gary Mary it’s THAT freakin’ good. 5 *s to you bartender Gary for the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. For the record, don’t walk in expecting fancy bacon strips or a shrimp head sticking out of your glass. It’s a simple on the rocks glass with 8 ounces of yummyness that will knock your socks off. Enjoy!

Neighborhood bar, not typical SD gas lamp hang out. Cheap drinks interesting people and live music. The crowd tends to me over 30 and the vibe is genuine.

Stumbled across this place while exploring Downtown San Diego and decided to check it out. It’s adorable inside– dim, a little on the small side and has the genuine«pub» feel to it. The bartenders were extremely nice both times that we visited. Their crafts on draft were decent and were very reasonably priced. During the month we visited(August), they had a different band lined up EVERY night! We ended up coming back on a Friday night and really loved just hanging out and listening to the band. The place was packed then and everyone was having a blast. I really wish that we had visited this place more times during our trip. This place is a gem. Good music, good beer, friendly staff… I would love to return if I am lucky enough to go back to San Diego!

After a horrible experience at a neighboring bar we stopped in to this awesome bar and had a great time! We met a lot of friendly locals and Gary the bartender who was great! We felt like part of the family! They have live bands in the evenings!

Visiting from out of town, and decided to check out Patrick’s. The drinks were inexpensive, the crowd was welcoming, and the band was HIGHLY entertaining. Would recommend to anyone in the area, definitely worth the stop.

Absolutely dyn-o-mite! We cruised in for the Tuesday night open mic hosted by Kevin and this tiny place in the Gaslamp was kickin’! Jamming musicians all night long, including bluesman Eric«Blue Ridge Boy» Freeman and the get-down and get-phunky MC Funk… Arrogant Bastard on tap, among many other fine selections with a good crew of bartenders and staff. Now the crowd? It was like the United Nations up in there! We met people from Australia, Italy, Spain, Japan, Sweden, and Ireland, not to mention Memphis and Virginia and other points back east. Crazy amazing and fun.

Nice music club. The stage is set up nicely in the back and they have a good sound system. We were here on a Sunday night and they had a great band. It’s a really fun place for drinking, dancing, and listening to good live music.

Boyfriend and I decided to have a Saturday fun day… and headed to downtown SD early for lunch. We walked in to have a drink at Patrick’s randomly. We didn’t realize it was happy hour and were shocked when the bill came out for our first round. The prices are unbelievable. I think it was about $ 7.50 for 2 vodka sodas. So yes, we ended up staying at Patrick’s for wayyyyyyyy longer than expected. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. The spot is comfy, lowkey, quiet, and chill. I hear they play live music at night.

Great band, very talented ! As crazy as it sounds, I am not really into live music but this was great. They played mostly soul songs(Rick James, etc…). The only down side is that it’s very small and gets very packed, but hey it was a Saturday so can’t complain too much.

Irish bar playing jazz? Okay, then! This is a tiny little bar with cheap drinks and live music and no cover(at least not when we were there). It gets packed quickly, but you can always ask to sit with strangers, and the patrons seem friendly. It was mostly a laid-back crowd of 50+ year olds. There’s a front patio open to the bar where you can smoke, which it basically makes the bar into a smoking bar. Because I have asthma this was hard for me, but we ended up in the corner by the ATM and an air purifier fan, so I did okay. There’s a small dance floor up front by the band.

The live blues and drink prices rock! $ 2.75 for domestic bottled beer, $ 3.25 for domestic drafts, and $ 3.50 well drinks But it’s small bar without food so eat before you get here.
