My friend needed a gluten free red velvet cake for her daughters birthday on August 18h. I did some researching and found Paula’s gluten free at random on the internet. We called to get information on pricing, time and flavors. Paula said it was no problem and she could accommodate her needs. We ended up ordering a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I am a baker myself and let me tell you… this lady nailed it. The frosting was absolutely delicious. It was perfect with every bite. Very consistent. The cake part was delicious as well(even though I don’t eat gluten free) I felt the flavor was perfect and the frosting really was the icing on the cake. Paula did everything asked and the price was reasonable and she delivered it all the way to us in Point Loma. I was very impressed. Great job Paula… I would highly recommend Paula’s gluten free whether you are gluten free or not she definitely has a knack for this high demand product. The only negative I have to say is «I only got 1 slice of cake». And we thought we would have had left overs. Thanks again Paula great job. Marissa

This is my first time ordering a gluten-free birthday cake from Paula or from anyone for that matter. I was unsure what to order. I just knew that it had to be buttercream and that my wife liked a little lemon flavor. Paula took that little bit of information, ran with it, and created something that looked awesome and tasted even better! The delivery was very smooth. She was on time, meeting me at a local Starbucks. The price is definitely worth the experience for a specialty cake like this. In fact, this glutton-free cake was better than any other cake I’ve ever had. I was seriously impressed with the moist texture and full taste of the cake and frosting. I will definitely order again.

I had Paula do my son’s first birthday smash cake, he’s GF still. It came out amazing and he LOVED it. We also enjoyed the cupcakes(and so did many a gluten eater). I stop and see her regularly at the farmers market in Poway and get the focaccia and corn bread. Amazing stuff. You know it’s good when my husband will eat it all and not realize it’s GF. I highly recommend her baked goods!

I had ordered the double fudge with white frosting cake one day prior to my wife’s birthday. Paula had many questions to make sure the cake was perfect. Next day she called and said the cake was done early. Already was impressed. Picked it up and had it after we went to a restaurant. It was by far the best gluten free cake that we ever had. Great job Paula and would recommend her to anyone that is gluten free.

I contacted Paula for one of my best friend’s July wedidng. My friend told me less then a week before her big day, that I was in charge of helping her find a cake. It was specifically suppose to be gluten free and feed 75 people. I contacted Paula and went over all of the details with her. Her prices are very reasonable and the turn around time was perfect, she only needed a final decidion two days before. Paula even delivered it to the event location for us. Everyone was impressed that it was gluten free, absolutely delicious, and the hummingbird design requested was so pretty.

My sweet husband surprised me with a gluten-free chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting from here. It’s delicious. Nobody would know it’s gluten-free; it tastes better than many chocolate cakes I’ve had. Very very moist. Frosting also excellent, not too sweet. My kids loved it too.

Stopped by her stand at the Poway Farmer’s Market. Found her giving an interested person baking hints so she could bake gluten-free herself. Mighty kind of her. I bought: Chocolate chip cookies. These are flawless gluten-free versions of the real thing. Not skimpy on the chocolate chips either. And not those annoying mini-chips either. A morsel in every bite. Got to go back for more. Divine with a glass of cold milk! Focaccia. Very good bread. Now, it lacks the chewiness of regular focaccia, but is enjoyable nonetheless. Lighter than the focaccia which I am familiar. Cinnamon muffin. Nice flavor. Not too sweet(some muffins are like that). A tad moist. Cake-like. The cinnamon is there in just the right amount. Good-sized serving — not a mega-muffin nor a mini-muffin. Worth procuring more. As another poster noted, her products don’t have that«it’s-obvious-it’s-gluten-free» taste like other gluten-free baked goods. Thinkin’ all the gluten eaters out there would find her products enjoyable and not feel they were missing something. I gotta score the chocolate cake. Oh yeah. Suggest perusing the website to see all she has to offer– vegan, dairy-free as well as gluten-free.

WOW!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would! The idea of trying to find a gluten free wedding cake was always a concept that seemed daunting. And it was, until I found Paula. After a terrible experience at a local well known GF bakery, I stumbled upon Paula’s website. She answered my laundry list of questions via email without any hesitation or grief & even set us up for a tasting. She was flexible, accommodating to all of my desires for my wedding cake, and very quick to respond. The cake we received far exceeded ALL expectations! On top of being beyond beautiful, every single guest was astonished that the cake was both dairy free and gluten free. I had a few even try to argue with me! I cannot thank Paula enough for giving me the opportunity to have a real wedding cake! We will use her for ALL of our future GF/DF baked needs.

I haven’t had a Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip cookie in over a year. Why? Well, have you had a Betty Crocker GF cookie? or a Pamela’s? or how about a M-Del? Udi’s? Cheerybrook Kitchen? GNI? All these brands are yucky and taste Gluten-Free. I’ve been searching for GF Chocolate Chip cookies that are worth eating. Why would you want to waste calories on Gluten-Free tasting cookie? I called Paula yesterday because I wanted something sweet with either chocolate or lemon. I wasn’t going to order Chocolate Chip cookies because of all the negative experiences I’ve had in the past. Paula talked me into it. She said her GF chocolate chip cookies are pretty good and I took that as a challenge. I ordered 2 dozen, because if they were as good as she says I know I would want more. I picked the cookies up and opened the package as soon as I sat in my car. They smell a bit Gluten Free, I guess that’s good, in case? I slowly took a bite as I sat in front of her house. I slowly chewed trying to savor and taste every bit of the cookie. I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to GF choco cookies. The first bite… moist, second, third and fourth… moist with chocolate in every bite. That’s pretty awesome! I couldn’t believe the cookie was good until I had it with a glass of milk. Yep! Still really good! Still not a believer… I had to try one with Kool-Aid. Yep! Still really really yummy! Well, out of the 8 in the bag that I opened I have 2 left. I picked them up 40 minutes ago. Hmmmmm, lets see what my girls think… According to the oldest, she said it was amazing for a Gluten Free Cookie. The younger child, she said she needed another cookie to go with her milk :) I think Paula has a winner! Whats next? Maybe a cake…

Although beneficial, being a GF is not an easy life! Today I happened upon a new stand at the Poway Farmer’s Market. Let me introduce you to Paula’s Gluten-Free. It or should I say, she IS amazing! Finally treats to consume that are perfectly sweet and tasty. The apple pie has a flaky crust! Yes, it is! I couldn’t believe that! We intended to save it. It’s been consumed. The meringues were wonderful too! Those chocolate chip cookies looked tempting. Next time I will make sure to grab a batch. There was corn bread, lemon poppy muffins and a few other choices. Paula, thanks for being there! I look forward to seeing you again! Folks, if you see Paula’s Gluten-Free in a farmer’s market, make sure you give her a try. You should be just as happy as me!
