Great lunch stop! Being from NJ I truly have some high standards for deli sandwiches, but they rock it! Tons of meat and large sandwiches. You will leave lunch fully satisfied. Their bacon avocado turkey sandwich on rye is delicious! The only thing i would change are their prices. The sandwich prices are more expensive than most delis, but that may be the reason they can load their sandwiches with meat!

Tried this restaurant when stumbled upon it while walking by. I had the special of the day — ½ beef sandwich and I picked potato salad as my side. Both were very good. The ½ sandwich was VERY generous. The wheat bread was fresh and tasty. I would definitely eat there again.

First, the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich I had was very good and huge. My issue with this place is the cleanliness. The lady making the food was not using gloves. The place looks like it could use some extra cleaning.

Came here while looking for a quick breakfast sandwich. We were not expecting to find such good, cooked to order sandwiches with a fantastic view! Planning on going back tomorrow!

Best sandwiches. I usually call ahead. Big sandwiches. Honestly the best sandwich I have ever had.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sandwich that I had here. You’d never know there was a deli on the dock. The roast beef sandwich was very good, condiments solid. Although the building and signage are weathered, the area where the food was prepared looked very clean.

There’s not really much nearby within walking distance, so in that sense, this place was a godsend. But the god who sent this does not really like me, because the deli wasn’t all that great. Sure, the sandwich was huge and the location was cute with a nice view. The sandwich I got, however, was nothing to write home about. Honestly, It couldn’t even compare to a sandwich from Safeway or Albertsons. It also gave me a bit of an uneasy stomach. That took off a star from the three I was going to give it.

Not very happy with this place– they didn’t use gloves while preparing food, they were really slow, and the famous turkey bacon avocado sandwich was less than mediocre. The grilled cheese wasn’t good. And it’s pricey for what you get. Won’t be back.

I just went to this place for the very first time today. My friends had been ranting and raving about it, so I decided to try it for lunch the other day. There are a lot of different items to choose from. I spent a good 15 minutes looking at the different options and finally settled on an avocado BLT on sourdough bread. I wasn’t too happy with the avocado bit of the sandwich. I expected nice hearty slices of avocado but instead it arrived with what looked like a smear of avocado paste. The baking itself was pretty delicious. I don’t know how some people managed to screw up bacon but this place had it down pat. There was plenty of it on my sandwich and it was nice and crunchy but not burnt. The lettuce was all right I was expecting more of a crunch. The sourdough, however, was delicious. It was toasted but not too toasted. The tomatoes were pretty sweet. The place look clean. And there was plenty of seating available. Aside from the random avocado paste in my sandwich, I think I would try this place again. Especially, if I’m getting sourdough and bacon again.

Great little place here. The owner is a wise cracking old timer that makes anyone that comes in feel comfortable. The view is great, sandwiches are tasty, and they have beer singles that you can do with what you will. This is what the beach used to be. I’m glad places like this are still in business.

This little hole in the wall makes the best sandwiches! Don’t judge a book by it’s cover!

By far the best sandwich I’ve had south of San Francisco. Order a roast beef sandwich with everything and cheddar cheese with extra pickles and pepperchinies on a French Roll. The French Rolls is the only bread you should get. The place looks uninviting but is a must once you’ve looked past the fuel docks and boat yard workers…

This place is an awesome hidden gem! Most people wouldn’t even know thats its there unless they brought their boat to the fuel dock. They do put out a sign that says«Deli» on the street but there are so many parked cars it is tough to see. The shop is very unassuming but the food is excellent! I love getting the Italian Sub which is big enough to share. I don’t like to share, so I eat half and save the rest for later. They also make excellent breakfast sandwiches!!! Whether you’re on a boat or just heading out for the day, stop by here and get some good eats!

Whoa Deli! I’m a huge fan of this place. Drove past it many times on the way to work and finally decided to try it. The BLT(+Avocado) is how a BLT should be. Plenty of bacon, toasted just right bread, perfect amount of may. Really they know how to make a sandwich. Reminds me of the mom+pop deli shops back on the east coast. Thanks Pearson Deli! Oh and one more thing — Deviled Eggs!

I miss a good deli especially since moving from the East Coast. THIS was a great place. I asked for a whole sandwich and didn’t realize the insane size! I think I ate an entire foot long sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and the breads were just amazing. Everyone I was with just devoured it all. The staff was great, fast service, and you can look out into the harbor. I will be craving this place. I think the owner Oscar was behind the counter. He was great, right down to business of sandwich making and order taking. SO. GOOD.

Remember how a deli sandwich was years ago. Pearsons Deli has it going like 1975. thick sandwiches, friendly staff, great prices. My torpedo was fantastic, my wife and mother inlaw thought the ½ sandwich was a mistake, ITWASTOOBIG. dont mess around. go there.

Walking in daily for a cookie and a soda, I couldn’t ask for a more friendly place. Always the best sandwiches and food, most killer cookies, and coldest brew on Shelter Island. Locals, day workers, USCG crews, Harbor Police crews, etc. always frequent here for a reason. Nicest people, and the best food on the Island.

Super nice couple own this place. Tried their Chicken Salad and Roast Beef Sandwich this last weekend both were very good and a decent value. Don’t forget to get their Tuna Salad stuffed Jalapenos. They are the Bomb!

Very good sandwiches. Period. Try something on rye with Russian dressing, quite good. Portions are substantial. Parking on street(metered). Had Cactus Cooler soda in fridge last few times I have been there… very tasty. Limited seating outside, but killer view of docks. Great place for a quick lunch in Point Loma area.

After my Shelter Island shenanigans for the 4th of July, I was feeling mighty tired and mighty hungover. My friend works in the area and she recommended this deli, particularly their BLT with Avocado. GOTHERE. NOW. YOUWILLNOTBEDISAPPOINTED. The sandwich is ginormous. Tons of bacon, tons of avocado. Really, what else do you need? We called ahead, and our sandwiches were readying within about 10 minutes. SERIOUSLY. GO.
