Located in RB, next to Sprout’s in the Phenix Salon Suites(yes, they spell Phoenix, Phenix lol ;) PJ’s Salon is #141. I was referred to her by one of my gym girlfriends and I’m glad I found her. Really nice lady. Here’s what she does: «PJ Henson is a highly educated stylist with over Twenty years of experience. I have completed advanced training with different typed of techniques with hair style and color. Full-service enterprise the specializes Color, Brazilian blowout, Color Correction, Perm, UpDos. We also specializes cosmetic services including: Waxing and Make-up.» Check out her FB page. She makes hair look gorgeous and shiny with that keratin stuff and other fancy things she does. I just don’t personally color treat or do anything to my hair, except cut it. After she got rid of my split ends, it looked like I had a keratin treatment. Which of course, I didn’t. I’ve only used PJ for wash/haircut and I was very happy with her. I loved that she’s conveniently located, answers texts pretty quickly and can get me in without waiting a long time lol. I don’t know pricing of the fancy schmancy stuff that women do, but for haircuts: men, women and kiddos are only $ 15!(Pricing as of Nov. 2015). For a low maintenance chick like me(think, get a haircut once a year, if that! Did you read my Unilocal profile? You can find me in braided pigtails and yoga pants lol) this is a dream. Especially with my nickname Princess Money. And because it’s so affordable, I just tip extra lol Bonus: if she’s available/had a cancellation, she’ll take you same day. And I set my appt. by text. I hate calling people on the phone. Her little suite is clean, there are clean restrooms down the hall. They’re all beauty/health type suites in there. What a cool concept! I’m trying to convince hubby, Mr. $ 8.99 GreatClips Coupon, to try her. We both don’t really do beauty stuff O. o Well, edit a couple hours later: She saw hubby same day. I texted to see if she could see him and she saw him less than 3 hours later! He said he was very happy with her. Anyway, PJ is my go to for a nice, affordable haircut. And if you look at her FB page, she does some really nice fancy schmancy stuff for those who use those services. TIP: Get her stamp card. You get a free haircut after the 10th service!
