So sad to hear Resurrected Furniture is closing its doors such a shame — it’s a wonderful place to shop for those unique items. The shop owner will be missed as well. Heart felt sadness for sure.

Great store, wonderful owner and it looks like he is going out of business.

I’ve been coming to this store for years. I come here whenever I’m looking for something unique for a reasonable price. The owner is a very, very sweet man who has great taste and knows how to arrange everything in a creative and eye-catching way. He is also very good about giving deals on certain pieces. Love, love, love this store!!!

I think some of you reviewers need your heads examined. You give two stars to this nice shop where the owner is in his 80s with a sincere smile and the best taste. Get a fricking life!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves. To me this is like a nice little shop like you would find in Paris with just a bit of everything. It’s the best and there are surprises around the corner everywhere you look. If you aren’t into eclectic then stay away and go to Jeromes or Ikea, but don’t criticize something you don’t know anything about. I’m a huge fan of this little shop of wonderful stuff.

Resurection Furniture & Consignment Gallery… makes it home in what could almost be described as a shack. Nesettled between a Hair Salon and Twiggs Café you could drive by this gem without ever noticing it. However Charles Stuart, the owner, takes the time each morning upon opening the store, to set out just a few interesting pieces to catch your eye and intice you into the gallery. An Asian end table with a European table lamp on a Persian rug or a a European end table with a Persian lamp on an Asian rug… he has it all. As far as furniture there are smaller accent pieces, side chairs, tables, shelves and lighting. A book collection with alot of out of print, collectable volumes. Books on history, architecture, homes, design, Christie’s Auctions, art, etc., etc and then the collectibles! Asian, glass art art deco, European, such a collection. store is aptly named«Consignment GALLERY». I have literally spent hours in there just looking through all the shelves of beautiful pieces. In the back is a small Asian inspred” room filled with clothes, lamps, vases, porcelain, framed art, on and on … Trust me, you will find the most amazing pieces here. Talk to Charles about the piece, he’ll know the back story. Also, he is usually open to bartering, an exchange or giving a discount. Make sure you go when you have the time to spend some time looking through all of the treasures. My most recent find was this carved teak mirror… Charles sold it to me for $ 62!!! You never know who you might meet there…

I was on the hunt for a chair to go with my vintage desk. This wasn’t really the place to look. They had a few chairs outside, but I feel they were way overpriced($ 250 for a chair.) The inside certainly had a lot of pieces, many of which were Asian inspired. Nothing really caught my eye this time. I knocked off a star for being kinda pricey and a star for the guy working the counter who was not particularly friendly. He wasn’t rude or anything, just bored and uninviting. I will probably visit again around the holidays. There are certainly options for unique gift giving here.

Nice guy working there, lots of sales. I few treasures without a doubt but also some oddities. I guess that’s what you look for in a vintage place, no? I’d say it’s worth a look whenever you’re in the hood.

This place has a little bit of everything from yesteryear. I got some great old oil paintings here. The owner is a charmer. Im sure if you visit this shop you too will find something you just have to have.

We had noticed a nice seven candle, wrought iron candelabra out in front of the store one day as we went to Twiggs. Hubby seemed uninterested, so it left my mind … two weeks later, it appeared at our house as a birthday gift for me. Hubby said that the store owner was extremely helpful and that he gave him an awesome, half-price deal on it … I would have expected the cost to have been closer to $ 500 rather than under $ 100 … what a great surprise!

Waiting for some grub at Twiggs, I decided to walk next door and check out some of the finds at Resurrected Furniture. Right off the bat, I noticed these two sweet black chairs. The price tag on each said $ 50, but I didn’t believe that figure because usually at these kind of stores, you’re not going to find a piece of furniture for less than $ 100, easily. I asked the dude behind the counter if it was $ 50, or $ 500… and he said it was, in fact, $ 50. BUT, I guess he thought I was cool, because he decided he’d sell ‘em both to me for $ 50. Score! After peeling those bad boys off, I decided to take a look at some of their other goodies inside the store. It’s pretty apparent that their forte isn’t furniture… it’s more of a knick knack kinda spot. Tons of random books, candle holders, salt shakers, mirrors, drawers, etc… You name the random household accoutrement, they’ve probably got it. I’m a dog lover, but I thought it was a bit weird how they owner’s dog was just chillin’ on the checkout counter. Cute dog, but he was drooling all over the place and slobbering water on the counter. I can see where some folks might not dig that scene. Antique Row has plenty of these kind of stores, and Resurrected Furniture has it’s place along the half-mile stretch. Check it out next time you’re procuring your java and scones… you just might find an awesome piece of junk to clutter your cabinets with.
