I generally don’t like medical people who assume they know more about my body and it’s needs than I do. Especially when they are not medical people. I had to argue way to much with the receptionist to get the treatment I wanted.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Adler for over 20 years. He and his long time staff have been instrumental in getting me past my fear of dentists(although, I guess I still fear all the others, but not him). And some fear it was, coming out of childhood. Great staff and great dentist. As good as it gets, dentistry-wise.

By far the best dentist I’ve ever gone to! Like many others I’ve always been afraid of going to the dentist but after 1 appointment with Dr. Adler I no longer have any fear. He’s friendly, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable about what he’s doing. I know take my whole family to see him.

I don’t think I can express what a great Job and how nice everyone was to me at Dr. Adler’s office. I went to him with a recommendation from a fellow coworker. What I didn’t know is that OUR insurance didn’t cover DR. Adler’s office. But I was so impressed with the great care and the latitude of comfort I was in there that it really didn’t bother me when I found out that my insurance wouldn’t cover them. Also thank goodness that My HSA did cover them. he he I also would rather pay and have the quality dentist rather than go another dentist with my cheapie insurance… I walked out of there super pleased with the top notch quality service and professionalism this office had. I would gladly go back and have more work done even if I have to pay for it myself. Christina

I first went to Dr. Adler about 10 years ago(because I had great insurance and he was close to my house). He was the first dentist in my life who cleaned my teeth himself(usually its a hygienist). I thought this was a nice touch. Dr. Adler has a very dry sense of humor, so be warned if that puts you off, but he is very nice and appears to like his job, which is nice. The office staff is very professional — not warm and fuzzy, but not rude, either. Since I changed jobs(and sadly, got poorer dental insurance as a result), I had to go to another dentist for a while and found that I would rather use an HSA and pay for my dental work that way than pay for the cheapie insurance through my work and go to the dentists you’re forced to use with DMOs. They also have extended hours on Mondays if you cannot take off work to go to the dentist. I am fortunate to have very good teeth, but did have a small cavity that they first showed me on the x-ray so that I could see that I did indeed, have a cavity. On the day the work was done, it was done very efficiently, but didn’t feel like a rush job.

Dr. Adler is fantastic! I started seeing him when my new insurance didn’t cover my previous dentist, and have had nothing but good experiences. Their office is overlooking the 163 in Hillcrest, and both dental chairs have fantastic views of the canyon and valley — including a couple of Torrey Pines just outside. No one enjoys having dental work done(at least I don’t think so!), but here you have a great view while you get worked on, and they also have one of the best looking saltwater tanks I’ve ever seen. Every experience I’ve had here has been smooth and easy, and Dr. Adler is a really nice guy and does great work. The only tricky part can be getting into their parking lot — blink and you’ll end up driving right by.
