What a disappointment! So my work relocated from Sorrento Valley to the Clairemont area and we were all excited to see a deli right in our new building. Now called Yaya’s Deli after the friendly woman working here, we checked out their menu and were happy to see the variety and also the veggie options they offered. I ordered a Chicken Club and the sandwich itself tasted OK. I watched her make the sandwich and per Jill H.‘s review, she was absolutely right about them not having a full kitchen. I watched her microwave my breaded chicken twice. My bacon was indeed recooked and did not even look like bacon at all! It was flat and chewy. Disappointed in this deli. Now I really miss my old office and all the deli’s that were nearby that had phenomenal sandwiches, full kitchens and crispy bacon. GD!

#16 with a slice or two of turkey has never disappointed me. Been ordering it for a decade :) Nice friendly owners!

Inexpensive, close and they have a decent Four Cheese Veggie sandwich. They don’t have a real kitchen, so the cooked items are pretty blah. Go for a cold sandwich or their little salad bar and be happy you didn’t have to eat at McD’s.

Great for not having to drive there. Their sandwiches are fresh.

please don’t ever get the breakfast«burrito». i made that mistake and still shudder when i think of it. ugh. the tortilla was dry and tasted a bit stale, the salsa they used tasted rancid and the cheese was grainy and just unpleasant. in addition, it was molten lava-hot with some bites and cold and gummy with other bites. on top of all that, it was tiny for the price you paid($ 4). their sandwiches and other things may be good, but that travesty of a burrito will preclude me from ever finding out!

Working in this complex means that when you don’t bring your lunch, you often, regrettably, decide to grab Rose’s because it’s right downstairs. You take a bite of your dry sandwich with sub-par store bought bread and think, «my, this precooked bacon is horrible.» Then you take a second bite and think, «how can you even find such flavorless mustard?» Every bite is a new exploration of how disappointing a sandwich can be. To make matters worse, their prices are jacked. A can of soda costs over a dollar. A crappy sandwich is around $ 8 and it will barely fill you up if you can even get the whole thing down.

It’s one of those numerous«mom ‘n pop» delicatessens that dot the office complexes in Kearny Mesa. This one is located on Industrial Driveway. I had a pastrami reuben from there and it’s great. I just found out that they have some ice-cold bottles of Guayaki yerba mate in stock, so next time I am in the area, I would grab a bottle of that stuff. Next time, I will try some of their potato salad.
